my brainrot is brainroting and it demands to be fed, so. i was watching some different hoa endings (,,,,,again, yes) and. wow. jason and salim fr are, well, not gayer, they're gay enough when they have their little enemies to friends arc, but when they hate each other?? i mean it's just,,,, different kind of gay, like
oh, i'm sure he's gonna keep his eyes on you. i'm sure he's yours. i'm sure
okay, salim 'height difference, enemies to lovers, banter, 50k words, wip' othman, we get it. we do
this one is genuinely insane. i still can't believe this is not only a canon dialogue they have, this is a canon dialogue they have on a LOW RELATIONSHIP. and i understand that they're clearly mean to each other, one wants to humiliate the other, but why do they look like they wanna make out here, huh. why does it sound like flirting. you talk to your enemy like that??
What kills me about the "I'll hold your hand but I'm not cuddling you" scene is that Jason is SMILING during the exchange. And not only that, but he only lightly pushes Salim's hand off.
So this guy who's supposed to be Jason's enemy just casually touches Jason's shoulder, and Jason doesn't react with violence or anger. But rather reciprocates by smiling and a light nudge.
You cannot convince me that Salim didn't blatantly hit on Jason during this scene and Jason responded positively.
They can’t help themselves. They can try and remain enemies all they want but in the end they don’t even know where that tension comes from. Remaining enemies during something like this, just because they’re soldiers is not logical or pragmatical, so if they try and maintain that attitude during the game, all they get is this raw sexual tension and the feeling they shouldn’t be hostile.
And, honestly? It’s what they deserve.
