Posting the gifset for my wife's recent WHA manga track reminded me that I never got around to making a gifset for an old Tokyo Babylon track of mine, so here it is. What a twisted manga, man. 10/10

My wife granted me permission to make a gifset for her excellent WHA track, which you can watch over on her blog here. This is for her upcoming "My Demons" MEP. I'm very excited for when it's done, it's going to be incredible :D
Sense and Sensibility (1995)
One of the major ways Elementary stands out from other Holmes adaptations to me is how they wrote Watson. Like it would've been so easy to write her like any other Watson, brilliant, yes, undoubtedly, but forever attached to Sherlock. Watson is there because Sherlock wills it so, because Sherlock needs a rock and because Sherlock Holmes is a man forever in need of a partner. Usually.
But they broke that. They said this is Dr Joan Watson, and she is incandescent and ruthless. She's a surgeon and there's an episode where Sherlock says surgeons have a healthy dose of god complex and you think sure buddy and then Joan threatens Moriarty in the middle of a restaurant and you go, huh. She learns to pick pockets and watches out of boredom. She changed careers over and over again till she found the one that fit. She became a detective and could and would absolutely kill a man and vouch for someone killing a man because it's Sherlock and she loves him very much. She's a partner, in the very literal sense. She kept track of murders as a teenager. She enchanted the most dangerous woman on the planet and EARNED her protection. She's a cancer survivor. She threatens gangs and online hacker conglomerates in free time. She's a mother. She's half of two people who love each other very much. She moved across oceans for him and she would do it again.

[ID: A traditional artwork of Kris Dremuur from Deltarune in a mix of bright colored paints and markers. They are sitting with their legs crossed and are cradling a big red heart to their chest, their head resting on its top. The heart is lined in metallic gold and some of Kris' armor shines in metallic silver. The background is a cyan light, atop a black void lined in purple like the encounter screen in the game. The different actions are in a solid paint that is slightly raised and makes them pop up. The Fight action is highlighted. The second picture is a photo of the same artwork but zoomed out, on a spiral sketchbook. End description.]
THIS is what good representation in media looks like. THIS is ânormalizationâ. breaking the locked in default to comp het.
Iâm afraid some of yaâll just donât have the freak gene that lets you enjoy ACTUAL enemies to lovers. Yaâll think that trope is just like coworkers fighting over a promotion or smth like no give me people that have tried to maim and kill one another or give me nothing

My co-teacher came up with an idea. She said to me: âIâm going to project a Shakespearean sonnet on the board that you have never seen before. They are going to watch you struggle through it, and they are going to see what it takes to authentically annotate something to attempt to understand itâ. This was a good idea because it targeted a pitfall of my teaching: that I already know the answerâ a predetermined answer I want my students to come to. Therefore, when I ask the class a question, they are aware that there is an answer in my head I want them to arrive at. This method can stifle studentsâ voice. So, I stood at the front of the classroom that day, feeling exposed, sight-reading Shakespearean sonnets. With most of the sonnets, I, with the help of the class, could only get to about 75% understanding and accuracy at best. But my confusion â my apparent struggle and frustration in understanding each new sonnetâ was key for my students. They felt free to posit their interpretations and even to disagree with me. In each session, a student shared a thought or possibility that not only I had failed to see but was also ultimately accurate. One student couldnât wipe the smile off her face when she figured out a metaphor that stumped both me and my co-teacher. âThis was funâ, she and her classmate said to each other when the bell rang.
Adding @leporellianâs tags becauseâyeah, agreed, the hierarchy seems to have been the problem here.
âi wish we could see adaptations where sherlock holmes hates the rich and is allowed to be kind to those around him and uses his abilities to support societyâs underdogsâ elementary was doing this back in 2012. this was only episode 4.
sometimes I forget standing up isnât painful and difficult for most people so Iâll be watching something like game changer and see the people standing behind their podiums the whole episode and think âwow donât they need to sit down. how can they still think coherent thoughtsâ and then Iâm like oh. yeah. I have a disease
âWhen you gouge out my heart, give it a kiss, and dye your lips red with my blood.â
HELP has anyone else seen these get announced??
I stumble across the damndest things while playing Pokopia. I've been rebuilding part of the Skylands into a mini city, and I made an apartment for Illumise and Volbeat to share. I was bringing them more furniture when I ran into this little drama. She locked his ass out lol and they say romance is dead
