EXPERIMENTEXPERIENCE is my solo project that began with covering songs I love. The response was far greater than I expected, and I was able to bring it to life thanks to the warm support of everyone.

However, there was a huge difference between performing covers and creating original songs. I had some experience with composing and arranging, and the guitar was always my favorite instrument—but writing lyrics was completely new to me. So I studied books written by lyricists and focused on the rhythm and flow of the words rather than their literal meaning, going through endless trial and error. After many failures and revisions, I finally completed my first song.

It all started with a track called “Cifer.” I’m very attached to this song—it was inspired by TOKYOPILL’s “Emptiness.” “Cifer” refers to Ulquiorra from BLEACH. I’ve always liked the number 4, I’ve always liked Lucifer, and I’ve always been fascinated by the heart—a uniquely human sense that’s said to separate us from machines. One theory says that what we call “emotion” is simply the brain’s way of processing its calculated answers. I might be getting off topic, but—

I started EXPERIMENTEXPERIENCE to save myself through music. I believe that impulse was born the moment I encountered LOWPOPLTD. and the HASAMI Group.

Thank you for saving me from the hopeless suffering I was in back then. In the end, there may be no salvation, and I may simply have to live with the pain—but still, thank you.
