In case you need to hear something uplifting today, I'm in a (mainly female) Facebook group which focuses on the double standard between men and women. Yesterday, a group member posted a screenshot showcasing her very abusive situation. When others told her to dump him, she said she couldn't leave - he had complete control of the finances and her car didn't have enough in the tank to go further than a few miles.

In response, the entire group got together to get her out. They talked her through setting up cashapp and wired her money, they told her what to pack, what to do, networked to find her a safe place to stay, and she got out that same day. She was very scared and anxious but whenever she had doubts, everyone listened to her, encouraged her, and talked her through everything. All of us supported her, she gave us updates throughout the day, and now she is safe ❤
