Rin could’t’ say a thing more, the man agreed to most of what he had asked for and it should be enough. Now Rin could fight harder, since he wasn’t part of his property anymore. He just crossed his arms and nodded, they could still discuss the deal later on but for now, it seemed like getting back in was the best option. Specially with all that people looking to get rewarded with him.
He closed the door behind them and went back to the bed he found last night, sitting on the edge before finally dropping to his back. He sighed. This was strange, he still felt tense around this man but he wanted to stop fighting for at least a bit. It was safer to stay somewhere rather than being outside by himself being wanted.
Sousuke was a good cook himself, he suffered enough in his life and learned a lot. Cooking was one of them. He had stuff in his kitchen, as he had to drop there week ago with a slut and she needed privacy.
The delicious smell roamed in the house, and outside it started to rain again. As the storm was about to begin again. The soup needed one last spicing before it was ready.
“Rin..food is ready.”
He was grateful…so grateful Rin thought and stayed…
Soon, the rain came back and the sound of it hitting the roof started to lull him, but he only relaxed and closed his eyes. It had been a long since he could take a moment like this. Once Sousuke said it was done, he sat up and just looked around. He could see everything from where he was, the shack they were in had close to none divisions on the inside and the bed was just a few meters away from the kitchen, it seemed.
He got up and silently walked closer. He was still unsure of how to handle things now, he wasn’t one of Sousuke’s things, but he still wanted to feed him. He wouldn’t complain about that but what was he supposed to do?
Sousuke put the plates on the wooden table and poured the soup for both of them, the storm outside was already rough and they could hear the wind whistle and hit the tress around.
“Don’t worry it tasts fine so..don’t hesitate.” Sousuke looked from the window, the storm was from their good luck, because it’d be hard to search under those bad weather conditions. So nobody would reach them there. He noticed the slight nervousness Rin had, and smiled “Hey what’s wrong??”
Rin looked down at the plates and then decided to sit down. He waited a bit, he wanted Sousuke to eat first so he wouldn’t toss any of it to him like he had done before. He shook his head, nothing was wrong.
He hesitated a bit before finally digging in, eating with his hands carelessly like the first time he was invited to Sousuke’s table. And just as that time, he got lost eating out of custom.
"This sweater suits you." Sousuke said with a smile, before he stared at Rin for couple of seconds, "Maybe you should start to work out from now on." He said pouring himself another dish, "what do you say?"
The atmosphere was awkward betwen them, Sousuke tried to figure out something to talk about. Since Rin didn't say anything for minutes.
