          considering  that  malachai  staked  claim  over  a  beach  villa  ,  it  may  be  odd  that  he’s  found  himself  laid  out  on  the  couch  inside  of  a  sea  villa  as  if  he  owned  the  place  .  with  lengthening  locks  pulled  out  of  his  face  and  contacts  replaced  with  glasses  that  set  on  the  bridge  of  his  nose  ,  he  makes  peace  in  the  vast  living  room  while  flipping  through  one  of  the  magazine  that  was  on  the  coffee  table  .  with  his  keen  hearing  thanks  to  his  career  ,  malachai  sits  up  on  the  couch  and  tosses  the  magazine  aside  the  second  he  hears  some  moving  about  on  the  back  deck  .  the  villa  was  dark  save  for  a  lamp  in  one  of  the  far  corners  of  the  living  room  ,  and  he  can’t  help  the  soft  chuckle  that  falls  from  his  lips  when  he  sees  who  is  trying  to  sneak  around  .  gently  sliding  open  the  back  door  leading  to  the  deck  ,  malachai  announces  his  presence  with  a  gentle  cough  ,  and  leans  against  the  door  framing  .  ‘  you  know  ,  ’  he  starts  as  he  hears  the  expletives  that  leave  her  mouth  .  ‘  if  you  wanted  to  come  see  me  all  you  had  to  do  was  call  .  ’  his  tone  is  playful  as  he  tucks  his  hands  down  into  the  pockets  of  his  pajama  pants  ,  and  his  eyes  rake  the  length  of  the  woman’s  height  .  a  smile  tugs  at  the  corner  of  his  lips  as  he  hears  her  break  down  why  she’s  creeping  around  ,  and  malachai  hums  in  understanding  .  he  seems  to  weigh  his  options  for  a  minute  .  ‘  well ,  dinner  is  always  an  offer  i  won’t  ignore  ,  but  why  don’t  you  just  come  inside  and  call  the  front  desk  ?  ’  he  looks  towards  the  ladder  .  ‘  that  looks  --  well  ,  like  something  i  wouldn’t  want  to  do  .  ’  he  pushes  the  door  open  further  as  a  way  to  invite  her  inside  .  ‘  come  on  ,  yeona  ,  we  could  order  room  service  while  you  wait  .  ’

HER REUSABLE TOTE BAGS ARE HEAVY with various goodies she managed to snag from the local grocery. while she’s almost positive that there is someone on this island who is quite literally hired to cook for her personally, naomi still figures it would be best to keep in touch with her own skills. however, she’s seemingly gotten a bit carried away with her shopping ( always a sucker for the local produce, discovering tropical fruits to enjoy ), struggling to manage both bags at once. despite being probably only yards away, her arms give into exhaustion, naomi gently putting the bags down to take a quick breather. “ uh— ” is the first thing out of her mouth upon realizing that someone else was there, “ you can go around. just.. enjoying the sights !! ”

          for  the  better  part  of  the  last  hour  ,  malachai  has  been  nursing  a  watered  down  drink  ,  toes  pressed  into  the  stand  with  each  step  he  takes  .  while  the  thought  of  leaving  seoul  wasn’t  entirely  up  to  him  ,  he  can’t  deny  that  staying  at  the  beautiful  resort  was  both  a  blessing  and  a  curse  .  he  hasn’t  talked  to  his  family  much  since  getting  on  the  speedboat  early  one  morning  ,  so  he  figures  he  might  as  well  treat  this  like  an  ‘  off  the  grid  ’  vacation  of  sorts  --  he  uses  the  term  lightly  .  with  his  fingers  gripping  at  the  rim  of  his  glass  ,  he  raises  it  to  his  lips  to  take  a  sip  ,  looking  out  at  the  vast  ocean  .  malachai  was  on  his  way  back  to  his  beach  villa  ,  but  promptly  ignoring  the  unpacking  he  needed  to  do  and  to  simply  settle  into  the  vast  space  .  so  ,  a  stop  before  getting  there  is  the  perfect  distraction  to  avoid  the  tornado  waiting  for  him  .  malachai  hums  gently  when  hearing  a  familiar  timbre  ,  and  trails  his  free  hand  through  his  hair  .  ‘  how  could  you  not  notice  this  face  ?  ’  his  tone  sounds  joking  ,  but  he’s  serious  as  he  sets  himself  down  in  the  free  chair  .  ‘  you  savin’  this  seat  for  someone  special  ?  ’
