"Hi! My name is Kayah and I am a crochet cosplayer based in Nashville, Tennessee. I have been cosplaying for 9 years, crocheting for 5 years, and competing in cosplay competitions for 3 years. My goal is to share the craft of fiber arts cosplay with others by showing that it is a beautifully creative way to create the cosplay of their dreams.

I created this dress inspired by Tiana from the Princess and the Frog along with an additional dress for my friend inspired by Charlotte from the same film. I absolutely loved competing in Tiana, winning awards for her, and look forward to creating more projects to share with the world!"

"In 2015, I was coming back to the world of cosplay. I knew sewing wasn't my strength, but I wanted so much to cosplay my favorite characters. While i was crocheting cute plushies, I had the idea: why wouldn't I crochet my outfit? And since I have seen baby costumes a lot, I wonder why not for adults? There wasn't a lot of yarn cosplayers at that time and I had to figure out a lot of things since crocheting clothing is not the same as amigurumi. I was so proud to wear my Sailor Moon crochet cosplay in 2016! I competed in a mascarade and won 2 awards: one for craftmanship and one for performance. It helps me boost my confidence in myself and my crochet skills while also meeting a lot of people who are intrigued and pleased with my costume."

Hello my name is rufus and I started crocheting my cosplays around three years ago but I've been crocheting for 7 years This one specifically i started just three months ago. Im definitely proud of it because frieren: beyond journeys end has been my comfort anime and having to crochet frierens cosplay was amazing! Hardest part was making the arms, i didn't know whether to have the stitches vertically or horizontally but eventually I stuck with one :) youtube and etsy was great help making this though i mostly eyeballed it haha. thank you for your time :)

Last year the Yarn Cosplay Guild hosted 28 Days of Black Yarn Cosplay to highlight artists in the niche of fiber art and fandom. We're happy to continue this and make it a proper guild tradition in 2026. This is an idea based on the 28 Days of Black Cosplay, originally created by Chaka Ayana Cumberbatch.

This year posts will be entirely created but the creators being highlighted, as opposed to the event being cohosted with commentary/shoutout videos by Scarlet Stitch Studios. This choice has been made after some much appreciated feedback and the ability to share/repost/boost posts being even easier than ever :)
