She parked her car in front of the coffee shop and rushed inside. Yasemin was already a few minutes late for her hospital shift. But who could have predicted that the nanny would forget to call in sick and leave Yas standing around, expecting her to come over and watch Talia? It was inconvenient, but she was unwilling to give up her morning coffee. It was necessary for her to fully awaken.
Fantastic, there's a queue - she thought to herself as she waited in line and took her phone from her pocket to check the time. She should text her coworkers to let them know she's been delayed. The battery bar on the screen, on the other hand, was low, and Yasemin wasn't sure if she had brought her charger with her.
“Could you please assist me for a moment?” she asked the person in front of her, reaching out to lightly tap them on the shoulder. “I need to send a text message. It's a true emergency.”
