The Return of the Levinfist Tournament

Gyr Abania has been released from the clutches of the Empire at long last. What better way for the free peoples to celebrate and give thanks than a tournament dedicated to the Destroyer? The Levinfist tournament returns, this time under the Patronage of the Ala Mhigan people.

The Levinfist is a contest among Pugilists, monks and other fist fighters interested in displaying their skill. It will be hosted at Schism in the Fringes. All are welcome to spectate and participate, though slots for participation in the tourney are limited and only fists and fist weapons are allowed.

There will be two categories; Raw Physical and Enhanced Physical. A champion will be decided from each, and awarded prizes (and bragging rights for a year!).

The Pure Physical champion Y’citus Tia, and the Enhanced Physical champion T’rahven Tia will ever be remembered as the Levinfist’s first, but their titles will be relinquished in order to allow for a new pair of champions! Of course, they are both invited to vie for the titles once more.

Raw Physical is just that; trading blows without the assistance of aether or chakras, and will allow for participants to show their physical prowess. Enhanced Physical allows for use of aether and chakras, and will test the skill and discipline of all fighters involved. A special rule set will apply to the Enhanced Physical participants – elaboration on that will come in a future update.

Each category will allow for eight fighters – a total of sixteen slots for entry! Entries can be made via in game mail, in game messages, Tumblr messages/asks, or via Discord ( Berrod#9532). Please specify if your character is applying for the Raw Physical or Enhanced Physical categories! Feel free to message with any questions on the event as well.

The event will be hosted on Friday, August 3rd at 8pm EST at Schism [The Fringes ( 23.0 , 8.0 ) ].

Proper respect is asked of all before the venue, and those wishing to pay tribute and worship to the Destroyer are more than welcome to do so.

EYES: Dark Brown. Practically always filled with genuine happiness.

BUILD: Big and muscular with a towering frame. Not quite ‘bodybuilder’ but damn close to it. He refuses to let his body deteriorate with age.

So you’re interested in RPing with Y’citus?

Here’s some things to keep in mind if you ever plan on interacting with Y’citus in an official RP capacity. About me, as a Roleplayer: I’ve been doing this on and off for a looooong time. At least 11 years. Probably more. I was diagnosed with Asperger’s when I was 6 (I am now 24) and my “Narrow Interest” is vocabulary. I absolutely love words. They are honestly the most amazing invention of humankind, in my opinion. Imagine being the most psychologically complex organism on the planet, and you’re STILL somehow able to communicate almost all of your emotions in some way, shape, or form just by making noises with your mouth? That’s pretty cool. Sometimes I may not be comfortable IC in game, so please be mindful of that. When I was younger, I was faaaaaar more into it but I’ve grown out of it quite a bit, to the point where I feel weird *actively* pretending to be someone I’m not. Writing in prose is worlds easier for me, so if you’re okay with Roleplaying in a Tumblr dialog or some other medium, that’s fine with me. Preferable, even. I am not good at thinking on my feet, and I am not good at thinking when I’m on the spot. RP through FF14 makes me feel like I am on the spot. It’s pretty dumb but it’s how I am. About Y’citus: His name is pronounced Yuh-sigh-tus with a quick enunciation of the second syllable. Y’citus is a pirate. He is likely to be uncouth, boisterous, spectacular, spontaneous, and jovial. He may pilfer from your character, but it’s unlikely as Y’citus is generally a pretty nice guy. Just don’t be surprised if you walk away from him feeling a few onzes lighter. He also answers to “Cit” (”Sit”) Y’citus has been a part of two tribes. The Y tribe, which he was born into and currently carries the name of, and the Yo tribe, which he had created on his own with a small number of other breakaway members when he first left the Y tribe. He was a Nunh of the Yo tribe until he was ousted. From what I understand of Sunseeker culture, if a tribe already exists with the first letter, they just slap another one on there. So... Yo’citus would also be acceptable, but generally deprecated by Cit. He is also generally not accepted as a member of the Y tribe currently, so his use of their name is much to their chagrin. Any main branch Y tribe Miqo from Dravania that is old enough to remember him will probably have a negative opinion of him. My favorite Sunseeker Culture Headcanon is that Seekers address traitors to their tribe by replacing the “Nunh” or “Tia” in their name with “Xahn” (which is an adaptation of the Azerbaijani word for “Traitor,” “Xain”) as an insult. As such, if you are willing to address him with this unofficial term, please feel free to! Any Yo tribes (which probably don’t exist anyway lol) or Miqo with strong ties to the Y tribe despite not being part of it are also welcome to use this term. Y’citus interacts with criminals and other characters of questionable integrity on a fairly regular basis. Some examples of people that it should be easy to start an RP with Y’citus for would be: Other Pirates Other criminals Sailors Brawlers Barflies Basically anyone in Limsa Lominsa Bounty Hunters People hunting his bounty People hiring him to collect bounties People whose bounties he is hunting. He really likes Au’ri girls, so probably them. Mercenaries People hiring mercenaries People from whom he is stealing People whose ships he may or may not be plundering Stowaways And so on. Doesn’t mean it’s impossible for him to RP with other people. Just more likely that these people would ultimately interact with him. I hope to write with many of you soon. Current Miqo’te Headcanon

Miqo’te Tribes have a word for tribesfolk who abandon their tribe to create another. That word, until I come up with a better one, is currently “Xain” which is Azerbaijani for “Traitor” because who the hell knows how the Miqo’te come up with their words? Were there an actual word for them in the Miqo’te lexicon, Y’Citus would be addressing himself as that instead of Tia. So in this case, instead of Y’citus Tia, he’d be Y’citus Xain

I’m all on board with this headcanon, but Miqo’te words seem to have a distinct “style” and about 70% of them also have that arbitrary H that according to lore is something non-Miqo struggle to pronounce. Also with Ak’sor, the ‘ is usually used to denote a break in the name, like how it comes after the clan letter for Seekers and before the birth order signifier for Keepers. So, ideally: Xahn Mahr or Marh Akhsor, Aksohr, or Aksorh Not a fan of Exil since it’s too close to Exile
