Series: The Distance Between Us (2024)

35mm Film, Double Exposures

The Distance Between Us captures a rare family sailing trip across the Solent. Shot on 35mm film using double exposure, the images merge sea, sky, flowers, and the decaying Isle of Wight chain ferry, a once-familiar vessel now rusting into memory. The overlapping frames mirror the way recollection distorts: tender, blurred, and bittersweet. This series reflects on time, place, and the fragile persistence of connection, how even as things fade, they remain imprinted on the surface of memory.
