Hypericum perforatum  (St. John’s wort) and Bombus (bumblebee)

Now you see her - Now you don’t

I’ve called this post “Now you see her - Now you don’t” but I’m not really telling the truth. Actually the second photo was taken first and the bumblebee shot was taken ten seconds later. Yes, I saw this bumblebee visiting this Saint John’s wort but just as I clicked the shutter on my camera, she flew off. 

This happens frequently when I take pictures of birds and it’s frustrating. As I pull my camera out, the bird flies away - often never to return. However, bumblebees are not birds. If you wait a few seconds. bumblebees will always return to the jobsite.
