I know that in the middle ages prostitutes were required to visually differentiate themselves but was there anything like that in Victorian times? I mean, it wouldn't ahve been enforced but were there sort of visual markers?

In general, a sex worker at this time would be dressed overly showy. Many lower class workers at the time attempted the fashions of ladies in higher classes, wearing cheap imitations in the fabrics they could afford. Another sign was the absence of a bonnet or shawl, leaning her head bare which many "respectable" women would never do. The wearing of powder and rogue was also a dead give away, especially in England where such cosmetics were highly frowned upon.
