I always wish I had started using it in 2014 when you did so maybe I would have had a chance to be followed by you. I became a fan with the Red album and started wearing Red lipstick for the first time during the Red era. I Knew You Were Trouble was my jam. I own all of your albums and love each and every one of them so much that it's really hard to pick a favorite. I saw you on the 1989 tour and am really bummed that I missed the Reputation tour, but I watch it on Netflix a lot. I love how kind and beautiful you are, inside and out. You inspire me to be a better person every day and I hope to be able to tell you that in person someday. I almost met you in 2014 when I saw you shopping at Sephora in Hollywood, but I didn't wanna be rude and respected your privacy. I hope to tell you about that in person too someday when I meet you in a more appropriate setting when you're actually expecting to be approached by fans. 😊🙏

the fact that The Archer exists??? the lyrics, her voice, the story?? “i’ve been the prey” shows how the media has been coming at her for years. trying to tear her down in every way possible. “who could ever leave darling, but who could stay?” shows how she had to keep asking herself who were her real friends were and the friends she could lose because of the ‘phone call’ situation. she self doubted herself. this song just explains the pain and heartbreak she had to go through because of everyone thinking she was a liar, not a good person. it ruined her. the only ones she needed to “help to hold onto” during that difficult time was her loved ones, including us, her fans. the strength it took to get through this was a lot. also “i cut my nose just to spite my face, then i hate my reflection, for years and years” ALSO has to do with the torture coming from the media. remember how in Miss Americana she was talking about how much the media affected her body? and NO MATTER WHAT SHE DID TO CHANGE IT people still came after her. this lyric TEARS ME APART. she tried to change herself in every way but people still hated her. no matter what she did to help the world, her success, her music, nothing. she doubted her career, herself, because of this situation. and it’s all hidden in The Archer. we need to realize what this song means and the shit she had to go threw that was thrown at her.
