The Public Debate

The Public Debate had been a success and the jazz Legend Ibrahim Khalil Shihab was the guest speaker for the debate and he got to share his experience as a jazz musician to the audience

This debate involved young and old jazz artists and got to share how jazz music has influenced people and how people have related to the jazz music and accepted it as a culture

The Fashion Workshop

The Fashion Workshop is also hosted by the Cape Town International Jazz Festival at the Cape Sun Hotel in the CBD of Cape Town.

This is the Fashion Workshop panel that shared and poured their knowledge about how the fashion industry works

Everyone learned a thing or two on how to start and work your way up to the top as fashion designer and that you should work smart and be wise with how'd you utilise your time in doing something efficient.

THE TECH TALK WORKSHOP

The Tech Talk workshop is hosted by the Cape Town International Jazz Festival Training Sustainable and Development at the Cape Sun Hotel in the CBD of Cape Town.

The Workshop focused more on how technology contributes to the music industry and how the evolution of technology has made devices to be more technologically advanced and more user friendly

The Master Classes Workshop

The most attended and and every year full workshop,the Master Classes workshop hosted also by the Cape Town International Jazz Festival Training Sustainable and Development.

The Workshop is hosted at the Cape Sun hotel in the CBD of Cape Town, international and local artists attend and share their highs and low in the music industry and the artists that got to be invited is Nicole Mitchel, Cory Henry,FKJ, Bikram Gosh and John Scofield

These artists got to perform at least one song from their lists to end the workshop with a happy note and the audience appreciate the artists

The Workshop was amazing and the experience to get to interact with the artists was one in a million a huge thank you to the artists that were there and also to the @ctijftnd for making this a reality #CTIJF2019 @#20Celebration

Umculo wam workshop

The uMculo wam master classes is one of the workshops hosted by the Cape Town International Jazz Festival Training Sustainable and Development.

Every year it is hosted in KwaLanga in Guga'Sthebe and different artists are invited to share a stage with their audiences and get to share their musical experience and advices with them.

This year's uMculo wam workshop was amazing and very informative, the artists that were invited was Ntsika Fana Ngxanga from the acapela group THE SOIL and the most amazing Gospel singer Lebo Sekgobela.

It was such an amazing experience as the audience got to interact and reciprocate the same feeling to the invited artist by performing thier poems in an unexpected mode, the one word I can use is simply amazing.

A huge thank you to Ntsika Fana Ngxanga and Lebo Sekgobela for coming and pouring their knowledge of the music industry to the next aspiring artists and another thank you to the @ctijftnd team for this opportunity to celebrate the #CTIJF2019 #20Celebration.

THE CAPE TOWN INTERNATION JAZZ FESTIVAL WORKSHOPS

The Master Classes workshop is one of the workshops hosted by the Cape Town Internation Jazz Festival Sustainable Training and Development, it involves local and international artists that will be performing and the Cape Town International Jazz Festival stage this year.

The artists will get to share the start of their musical careers and later falling in love with jazz music and popularizing it to the world.

They will also get to interact with their fans that is the audience through the Q and A session, this being done is to know and understand that particular artist better that his or her music.

The Cape Town International Jazz Festival will never loose it's taste and flavour be there and get to take pictures and live performance with your favourite artists, Be there, see you there.

WORKSHOPS FOR THE CTIJF ARE ALREADY GETING PROMOTED

The flyers are out of the TechTalk workshop, which is one of the workshops hosted by the Cape Town International Jazz Festival Training And Sustainable Develeopment also known as the ctijftnd.

These workshops are what makes the event (Cape Town International Jazz Festival)exciting and even more interesting as local and international artist share their musical and artistic experiences with their fans.

The workshops expose individuals who are inspired to be in the music industry to be informed and know what to anticipate when entering the industry.

They are very helpful, insightful and fun and what is attending the workshops without some jazzy jazz to soothe the heart and soul, of course music is part of every work shop to keep you alive and awake.

The CTIJF WORKSHOPS

It's all about Jazzy Jazz for the next coming month and 11 days to celebrate the 20thcelebration of the CTIJFSTND, artists from all over the world will gather together and share with is their experience in the Music industry at the #CTIJF2019 stage, this is an opportunity for local inspired artists and art lovers at large to have a personal interaction with their favorite artists through the free workshops that are held by the ctijfstnd for people of Cape Town.

The workshops are a platform for known artist to give motivation to aspiring artists on how to become the real deal or top noche, these workshops important information is imparted from one brain to another to be able to understand the ups and downs, the does and don'ts in the Music industry in order to prosper.

These are not only the benefits you get but you also get to witness known artists performing theirs songs and our favorite songs on stage and get to have the opportunity to just take a picture with them, I mean who wouldn't love that.

This is an opportunity to create connections and network with people, for it is a good space to do so.

A huge thank you to the ctijfstnd team for providing such a platform and making local aspiring artists dreams to come to a reality so as to become who they aspire to be.

Mediatisation Commentary Article

Attending the media conference at the CPUT Granger Bay Hotel school was such an opportunity that one had to grab with both hands, my knowledge as a PR Student who attended the event was broadened and I got to gain a lot of information that I did not know.

Meeting the keynote speaker Lance Witten who is an anchor of the eNCA and editor was such an honour and also to get to listen to him speak and defining what exactly mediatisation is was so worthy of listening to because you got to write down point and also ask questions, he first opened his speech with a quote "Whoever controls the media, controls the mind" to elaborate more on what mediatisation is in the society we live in.

We also had other speakers namely Jeffery Onganga, Gasant Abarder, Nadine Cloete, Courtney Dean Africa and Allen Young all these expertise specialised on each field of media namely Journalism, Photography, Film production and Public Relations and they all dwelled on how much it is an important thing to create a good relationships with the people you work with or know in different fields and also to use our social media platforms to post what is good will make a change in the environment .

In all this the CPUT media department also took part in alerting people about the event through social media and this event elevated the publicity and the status of the CPUTMEDIA DEPARTMENT as many people in the event posted using the CPUTMEDIA DEPARTMENT HASHTAGS and the CPUT MEDIA DEPARTMENTS always posts and update us about the upcoming events which help us to prepare and know what to post about on our social media pages, This event was insightful and mind opening and I enjoyed it, thank you.
