Peter had been relaxing in his own bed, in his own apartment, for once and he’d been fully intending on getting some much needed rest when the front door opened and shut. At first he thought it was Derek, but the sound of heals clicking across hardwood flooring threw that theory out the window unless his dear nephew had developed an interesting hobby that Peter was unaware of. 

His bedroom door opened and he caught the scent of a familiar strawberry blonde. Feeling the bed dip down, he opened his blue eyes, he smiled in amusement as she made herself at home under his blankets and maneuvering him into a comfortable position for her to use as a pillow. 

"Well Miss Martin, this is certainly unexpected. Can I trust you’re not going to try and stab me in my sleep?" 

A sharp jab to his side from her elbow shut him up. Deciding that he would be better off just making himself comfortable, he wrapped an arm around her, and rest his cheek on top of her head, hand absently playing with a stray piece of her hair.
