Have you ever made love to someone?
I havenāt. I fuck. And I fuck hard.
Sometimes I do it gently, mostly because I need to catch my breath.
Make love. Love. Just the sound of it gives me goosebumps.
It sounds like a myth, an over-romanticized one.
I thought being animalistic means good sex.
I thought letting go of all your control means good sex.
Until he made beautiful love to me.
So, it turns out it doesnāt have to be gentle to be considered āmaking loveā.
Itās the look. Like the whole worldās disappeared. Like we, and what we are, and that we have each other at that moment, was the only thing that matters.
Itās the touch. Like heās got electricity on his finger tips. Like every skin on skin contact makes my body shiver in pleasure.
Itās the sudden stop and gaze, that ends with a long wet kiss and my hands grabbing the sheet tighter.
Itās him falling onto my chest, trying to catch a breath while still being inside me and still shaking from the physically and emotionally overwhelming moment weāve just shared and me wrapping him with both my arms and legs, wanting to be closer, wanting to never let go.
He made beautiful love to me.
And I realized āthis is how it should beā.
This is what it is.
Love.
Itās difficult for me to say that out loud. And at the same time, every cell in my body is screaming it.
Love.
Is it what this is?
This has felt like the thing people write songs and make movies about. This has been surreal, comfortable and familiar, yet horrifying and challenging.
Love.
I have no other words to describe it. So letās call it love. Letās call this love. I love you. I do.
āNever apologize for how you feel. No one can control how they feel. The sun doesnāt apologize for being the sun. The rain doesnāt say sorry for falling. Feelings just are.ā
ā Iain S. Thomas, Intentional Dissonance

āLet someone love you just the way you are - as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe you must hide of all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.ā

āFalling in love was simple; one had only to yield. Digesting another person, however, and sustaining love, was bloody work, and not a soft job.ā
