like i can not stress enough despite my issues with some things how much i respect russell t davies for getting the opportunity to write an anniversary special for one of The british pieces of media ever now of all times and deciding that the importance of loving and caring for trans children would be integral to it. you can save millions of people all you need to do is love your trans daughter more than anything in the world.

getting an episode like this on the BBC in the current British politic climate is changing lives, to show a trans character on screen so loved, so supported and adored by these major beloved characters and actors, the importance of that cannot be stressed

But more seriously, I love this idea? I have been thinking more about it, and hte idea of an au where literally nothing is different except strife and xephos hail from Alternian Death Culture is both very sad and extremely hilarious.

I can’t decide which I like more, a typical ceruleanblood murderhappy xephos, or a xephos who is a member o the cult of the sufferer and doesn’t ascribe to alternian ideals of murderhappy highblood rage. both are good.

tbh strife doesn’t change much? Either he’s a limeblood genetic throwback, in which case he’s cull-bait escaping a horrible system that is Going To Murder Him, or he’s a plucky little oliveblood escaping a system where he’d be exploited probably as a mid-to-lowblooded caste.

Have you ever wanted to write a really awful fanfic, or draw a really nasty piece of art for the Yogfandom? Something involving violence, gore, dubcon / noncon, torture, abuse, blood, whump, weird kinks, unhealthy relationships - whatever gets you going, really. Ever felt embarrassed or ashamed about it, or like no one else is interested in the same things you are, or like people are going to judge you for it?

This is the week for you! The Week of Terrible Fiction is for anyone who has stories they want to write, or art they want to create, or ideas they want to explore about unpleasant, “unacceptable”, or morally ambiguous topics - especially for people who don’t usually feel like they’re allowed to write or post those kinds of things.

What: The Week of Terrible Fiction Who: Writers and artists (and anyone else!) in the Yogsfandom When: 21st - 27th March Why: Because a lot of people in the fandom seemed up for it, and we don’t have enough dirtybadwrong fic and art in the first place. This is about giving people a chance to celebrate creating what they want to create, and find other people who like similar things, instead of feeling ashamed. How: However you want! Art, fic, headcanons - anything is acceptable. You can do a little thing every day, one big thing at the beginning or end of the week. You can prepare something in advance, take prompts, collab with other people doing stuff, create something based off of a fic / art someone else has done… There’s no “right” way to do this, however you feel comfortable and whatever you feel capable of.
