When I was younger, I never had a great self image. My mind was stuck on what people thought of me. I didn't really love myself. In fact, I didn't even know who I really was. My value was measured by my academics, sports, social status...it was only in varsity, when I was saved, that I started looking in deep. My confidence was non existent at that stage and I pleaded with God to help me. I cried like a baby for days 🙋 ever been at that place with God? It took years to get out of the mess I was in. Then God started working in me day by day. Instead of looking to my intellect for confidence, I looked to God. I sought scriptures that showed me who I was and whose I was. I have this subtle confidence now that knows that even if people aren't for me, God is. Coz I know who I am in Christ. Talk about me, hate me, laugh at me, tell me I'm weird...I will show up strong coz I know who I am and I am clothed with my King's robe. I implore you to seek your worth in Jesus. That man or woman or job or business deal, those accolades will deceive you in believing you've arrived or you got it made. The problem with this stuff is that when we don't have them, our confidence and self image deteriorate. Who are you without these things? The RideOrDies are revealed in these moments 😂😂😂Go back to the King! He's waiting! #ChooseTheWord

I recently was told good news about an opportunity that would see me in a better financial situation. I was super excited about it. I was so close to taking this opportunity. But I then remembered that every decision I make should go before God first. I laid it on Him and He told me not to take it...like what you mean, God? 😳 Am I not meant to progress? But He quickly comforted me and said that I should place first things first. That means I need to honor the commitment to what He said I should do and He will take care of everything else. He added that no amount of money will ever satisfy and give you what I can. So, like that, I heeded God's instruction. I believe that promotion comes from God. If we partner with Him in everything we do, He will work out everything for the good of those who love Him. #iCantExplainItTheWayIExperienceIt#SubmissionSteps#BuildingTrustAndObedience

This is my truth. I just can't seem to accept less than this. No matter how hard and lonely and frustrated it may be to wait, God knows what's best for me. He knows the plans He has for me to prosper (Jeremiah 29:11). I know for sure that if we have a rough time, we will consult God. If we struggle with each other, we will consult God. If we don't know our next steps, we will consult God. If we lose our way, we will consult God. If we hurt each other, we will consult God. I will submit to him as unto the Lord. And he will love me as Christ loved the church. Christ is Head of man, that man is my head and that's how I know I will be taken care of - that man seeks authority from Jesus (Corinthians). Id rather lay my foundation on the heavenly things, knowing that the wait will be worth it coz I waited for God's gift, than to chase after someone who would mistreat me, misuse and discard his Helpmeet. The Holy Spirit will help you discern. You may see his appearance and love everything about him, but God reveals the true heart. Do not awaken love before its time ( Songs of Solomon)...find God first (seek the kingdom and His righteousness first Matt 6:33) and all these things shall be added unto you. #NoRandomDating#WeWaiting

One thing I know for sure is that if we remain in Him (as He is the true vine), He will remain in us and give us His favour in all the days of our lives.

Why pursue something/someone when your consistency is in doubt? You spend your life chasing after these dreams, hopes, goals but your level of commitment is questionable. You want surface level success and love but you can't dig deep enough. You want it all but don't even want God. You want their life but you're really showing face and not showing up! Draw the line and begin the journey to self discovery in Christ. The Holy Spirit will draw the line for you if you can't. #ConvincedConvictedComfortedAndAssured#ChooseTheWord
