THE HEART KILLERS | EPISODE 11
Fantasies baby
We have three scenes now that show Fadel and Style in a sexual situation
Fadels jerk of scene and the accompanying fantasy of Style
Styles fantasy of Fadel at the host bar
And their quick fuck at the storace room of the community center
We have basically been show what each of them wants/likes and then what happened when they actually got together (physically)
Fadels starts of remembering Styles flirting. He thinks of what happens in the sauna. Replays the memories in his mind until it runs out. Because they didn't actually do anything, didn't go anywhere, but Fadel wasn't ready yet, so to keep himself going, he started fantasizing.
The fantasy was just Style. He might have laid there naked and looked very sexual/sensual, but objectively, he didn't do anything. Fadel didn't imagine Style and him having sex or anything like that. Fadel wasn't even there in the fantasy (cuck[who said that]).
It was Styles flirting that got him horny but Styles body that got him to cum.
Styles fantasy, however, was the both of them together. It wasn't Fadel that was most attractive to him, but what Fadel could do to him.
No matter how much he annoys Fadel in the day to day and how much he seems to take the upperhand in those interactions, when it comes to sex he likes in the idea of letting Fadel do what he does/wants.
He took what Fadel was doing to Ms Pen and indulgence himself in the idea of what it would be like if that was him instead. It didn't seem to turn Style down in any way that what Fadel was doing to her wasn't honest. It was purely for her pleasure and so he could get paid. Maybe that's another thing that intrueges Stylr, the ways in which Fadel could abide to his wishes. The possibility of Fadel caring enough that he would do anything to please Style.
He isn't entirely giving in/passive in the situation, though. He still has a hands on Fadel holding him close/in place, and does seem to want to touch him. No matter how much he wants Fadel to service him, he isn't gonna let him do it all on his own. He too wants to explore Fadel as well.
Both of their fantasy were activated/sparked by something the other did. Something flirty to be exact, and it is pretty obvious that they are at the very least physically attracted to each other.
Their sex scene was very different from what I expected, but looking at it is actually very consistent.
What surprised me the most was the how much Fadel took action and how little Style seemed to do. I was thinking to much about their 'normal' interactions where Style is very provocative and Fadel tries his best not to react. Their first time together seems to be the exact opposite. But honestly that is precisely what they had both dreamed about.
Fadel likes Styles's body, so he used this opportunity to kiss/lick(/whatever you call it) every surface he can get his mouth on. Fadel wastes no time taking Styles clothes of and you could say that this is because -due to their location- they had make it quick and leave fast as to not get caught. But if that was the goal it would have been more convenient to never take of their clothes at all. Fadel wanted to see Style naked again and then wanted more.
I am also reminded of the post respectthepetty made where they mention that styles clothes (shorts, crop tops, tanktops) and overall eagerness to show his skin (getting naked in the sauna and undressing in the kitchen etc.) is the opposite of Fadel, who is very secretive about himself. This contrast will help/force Fadel to open up more. And I think how quick he was to take Styles, and then his own, clothes of shows progress in that.
Styles fantasy was surrounding Fadel serving him, and he did exactly that. Fadel takes his sweet time going over Styles body while Style watches, absolutely enamored. There is something sweet and almost adoring in his expression as he watches Fadel do something that seems so uncharacteristic. Part of his satisfaction could be from thinking he made progress, got one step closer to Fadel falling for him (and getting to know who Fadel really is). But he also seems happy that Fadel would want this. He enjoys not just the act but also Fadels willingness to do it with him.
Once again, Style did do things. Ran his hands through Fadels hair, held him close, stuff like that, but overall it seemed like what he did was mostly an encouragement for Fadel to keep doing what he was doing.
Also, just like with Ms. Pen, Fadel did this to get something. After trying every trick in the book to get Style to leave him alone and all of it failing, the only thing Fadel could think of was just giving him what he wants. He thought (and even confirmed) Style just/mainly wanted to have sex with him. He hoped that this would be enough for him, and he'd finally go back to how it was. So it might have been a lil for show, a lil bit to just give Style what he wants. But that doesn't mean that Fadel didn't like it. The act of giving can be just as enjoyable and attractive as receiving pleasure.
Anyway, it's crazy how well Style and Fadel fit together if you look at what they really want and need (but won't admit).
Something that really struck me about Style this episode is how real his fear was.
And I don't just mean his fear of the inevitable conclusion of the path Fadel's hurt and anger has set them on; although this, too, was so very real and honest and tore me to pieces in ways I can still barely process.
But it's interesting how Style talks about being afraid of dying generally and specifically how harm could come to them from an external source. How the way his fear is orientated puts Fadel on the inside ("a murderer is gonna come after us"), on Style's side and someone Style wants to keep safe.
And when Fadel makes the kind of snide joke about letting the hypothetical cannibals kill and cook Style, Style's solution still involves staying by Fadel's side. At no point does he ever stop referring to Fadel and him as a single unit, even after Fadel very explicitly frames Style as the only victim.
I'm bringing this up because I think as a fandom (myself included!!) we may have mistaken Styles unshaken confidence for a lack of fear. We saw Style stare down the barrel of Fadel's gun with an unimpressed look of disdain or the way he casually discusses Fadel killing him at the end of their journey, and we (understandably) think this is evidence of his fearlessness, of his boldness and sense of wild optimism that admittedly fits his character quite well -- but it isn't.
I think Style is very afraid, actually. He does not want to die. He does not want to leave his life or is dad or his friend or his cars or his boyfriend.
And those tears?? Those tears were real because lying next to Fadel with a metal handcuff digging into his wrist was a painful reminder of their broken trust; the terrible chasm between them that came as the result of Style's past choices.
And I think part of it was Style finally coming down from the adrenalin rush of: (a) Kant and Bison going missing, (b) being chloroformed and kidnapped and stripped naked and tied up, (c) being threatened at gunpoint whilst still reeling from the knowledge that Fadel knows and perhaps has known since the first warning signs of his sudden affection, and (d) not being shot and then being told to drive for hours on a seemingly impossible quest with no real destination.
But I also think this was the core of why Style is so sad. Because even if Fadel forgives him, there's a very real possibility that Style's actions and choices could lead him to dying if not at Fadel's hands then maybe because Style is now at risk of getting caught in the crossfire too. Because Style may well find himself standing between a bullet and Fadel one day, and that choice has repercussions beyond Style himself.
But his fear and his sorrow makes Style's choices on this journey all the more poignant and beautiful. Because Style commits to his love at the end of the day. He is unapologetically honest with Fadel and gives him not just the weight of what it means for Style to choose him, but the right for Fadel to keep his anger in spite of it. At no point does Style demand Fadel's forgiveness or trust or the relinquishing of the distance Fadel keeps between them.
Because Style's heart is his to offer, but equally it is Fadel's to take. And I think to fail to recognise the reality of Style's fear is to undervalue the weight of what it means when Style says "You own my life" -- when this took everything Style had in him to give.
I've never been to a motel like this, and I've never had sex in a car as well.

One of my favourite things about the way Fadel's plan (to "make them [Style] fall in love with us [me]") plays out is that when he dials up his affection and goes all out on the sweet flirtation and tenderness, Style immediately finds it weird and strange and suspicious and off-putting. Fadel pretending to be #whipped actually makes Style pull away like none of Fadel's aggression and violence and outright rejection did -- because it wasn't sincere, and Style could sense that.
When Fadel first drags Style out and starts peppering kisses on his face, Style turns away from his kisses and pulls back/pushes Fadel away from him to start questioning why Fadel is acting so strange. This is the same person who later propositions Fadel in a public bathroom whilst knowing one of the stalls is currently occupied by a stranger, so whilst I fully acknowledge Style probably genuinely did not want his dad to see them necking in his place of work, I'm also convinced it wasn't the only reason.
Because when Fadel allows some honesty to slip out, when he says "Don't you ever think that I'm only like this because of you?", Style actually softens and turns into Fadel's kiss for the first time in the scene. His hands go from pushing upwards at Fadel's neck to clenching softly against his shoulder and upper arm, like he's finally able to relax and hold Fadel closer (you can actually see the difference in these screenshots compared to the ones above). Style stops resisting and sinks into the kiss, lets his eyes almost slip close because something in him recognises that Fadel spoke true.
The same thing happens in Style's bedroom when Fadel continues his charade: Style is smiling, but there's a distinctly uncomfortable and awkward air about it, and he actually pulls away when Fadel continues to sniff-kiss him while going on and on about loving the way Style smells like gasoline. Fadel tries to be clingy again and Style outright calls him out on how weird he's being, so Fadel is forced to backtrack into sincerity:
Suddenly, Style's wariness turns to excitement and interest; he happily agrees to come along and asks what he should get Bison as a gift. Fadel is literally torturing himself to keep up this excessive affection and tenderness (the away Fadel's softness and sweetness just drops once Style goes to take that shower. Ugh. T_T) and gets nothing from Style until he offers something genuine -- a request for time to celebrate someone Fadel truly loves.
In fact, it's the pieces of honesty (or at least I'm assuming that this is also true since he was honest about Bison's birthday), and only those, that Style responds positively to. We have seen Style flirting constantly in previous episodes but he literally has not said anything scandalous or suggestive so far, nor has he initiated any affection even once until this moment.
And the reason why I love all this SO MUCH is because it really shows the evidence of Style's words before he even says them. In the midst of all the secrets and lies between them, ever since he found out about Fadel's secret and decided he was going to keep pursing him anyway, Style has been chasing and chasing Fadel's sincerity. And each precious revelation that Fadel gave him -- his parents' murder, his inability to trust, his desire for something genuine from Style -- has been carefully stored away in Style's heart like nuggets of gold. Which is why Fadel's performance was doomed from the start; because Style was moved by the true things and not the lies, and Fadel's pretensions can have no effect when Style's heart now has the ability to recognise that which he has already grown to love.
Oh, HELL NO!!!
It's not just that Fadel is in a crop top. It's that plus the combination of the low-slung, oversized baggy pants and the way Fadel is wearing it so his underwear is intentionally visible over the waistband.
Fadel literally puts on a 'Style' disguise. Because he thinks Style was always playing him for a fool, that the whole relationship from the moment he approached Fadel was a lie, that all of Style's frustrating persistence and tender intimacy and careful affections MEANT NOTHING TO STYLE -- Fadel thinks it was a con job that worked.
And Fadel doesn't understand that the only reason it "worked" was that they were all byproducts of Style genuinely falling in love with him.
Fadel sets out to play Style for a fool, but in fashioning himself into Style, he sets himself up to being caught in the exact same trap that Style found himself in.
Because Fadel doesn't realise that all that lies at the end of this path is him falling in love with Style (again).
I just think we all need to see the bruises on Style's hip for Reasons
