The term Soulmate originated from the back tattoos of JaeJoong and Yoochun. It was first believed that JaeJoong’s tattoo was TVXQ Soul while Yoochun’s tattoo was TVXQ Mate. Due to this belief, the fans nicknamed JaeChun as TVXQ Soulmate couple. It was later found that Yoochun tattoo was actually TVXQ MYC. The nickname still stayed.
