Let it be known, the south korean government has been tip toeing with the BTS' enlistment thing because they wanted to continue milking their impact for profit. This is why they offered them a postponement on military duties until they were all 30 (postponement they didn’t ask for). They’ve been used by all entertainment agencies to try and get their idols exempted while BTS receives all the political baggage. The government was supposed to make a decision on December but BTS made the first move.

It’s been reported Jin cancelled the postponement that was given to him (and BTS) by the government and decided to follow the enlistment process on his own with all the members following on their own occur. The government has been trying to control BTS' enlistment for over 3 years now, making them feel stuck and uncertain because they know BTS brings a lot of money to the country. The government waited until BTS successfully completed the Busan concert for South Korea's bin for the World Expo 2030 and by the media reaction — they had not idea BTS was going to announce an enlistment. They were waiting for the results on the bin to make a decision — BTS said, enough. They made the decision to enlist public by themselves and they didn’t wait for what the government had to say. This is a huge power move only BTS could make. I am proud.
