Oh, She Was Blonde? |Martha & Rose|
Martha’s sitting on the wall, waiting for her mum to pick her up - she’s forgotten, yet again - when she sees a head of blonde hair crossing the street towards her, obviously heading home. The face seems a little familiar, and it takes a few more moments before Martha can place her.
“Rose!”
It was cold, skin biting flu inducing cold. Rose pulled her jacket around her tightly, escaping school to find comfort in a coffee that was practically calling her name back at her place. The dull hum of cars passing was interrupted by someone calling her name- a voice that belonged to Martha. “Hey!” Rose grinned, walking over to greet her. It had been a long time since she had seen Martha, and even then they had only seen each other briefly. “It’s been too long. How are you? how has everything been?”
Martha hesitates for only a moment before hugging Rose tightly - there are a few things you can't come through without being friends, and what they've experienced is more than enough to qualify. "Rose," she grins against the other girl's neck, before pulling back. "I'm good. Everything's been... Well, I don't need to tell you. You're practically glowing - I take it you've seen Jack?"
She might be a little jealous - well, Rose always gets the men she's attracted to - but she likes Rose. Admires her like she does very few people. "Thanks again. I know you saved Ten, and that's more than enough for me."
