That's awesome! When I leave cards I always hope someone will find them. Thank you for telling me.

Better things are coming for you.
In the past year I have chosen to do the following things:
take better care of my body-make my artwork a priority-leave an unhealthy relationship-cut ties with people who were bad for me-be confident-accept myself-have more fun-stay inspired-be open to new and sometimes scary experiences-be vulnerable-and quit my job (after finding a new and better one of course).
I have created happiness for myself. I have learned that it's easy to be happy, if you choose it. If you believe better things are coming for you, they start appearing.
You were made for better things and they are waiting for you.
Secrets between pages.
Last week I was in a bookstore and I placed a card in my favorite book of all time, in between my two favorite pages. I first read The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky when I was sixteen. The moment I laid eyes on those pages, something changed in me, an unexplainable shift. Every sentence more beautiful and profound than the next. Twelve years later I still think it's a literary masterpiece. There's something so special about the characters in this story, something that should be shared. It's a go to gift for anyone I care about. My personal copy only leaves my little bookshelf for truly special individuals. I placed a card there in hopes that my art can do for someone what my favorite book has always done for me. A change, an unexplainable shift.
"You need to know that" is a creative project in which I send handwritten notes and cards to strangers. In addition to mail I will also be leaving these handwritten gems in library books, on tables in the coffee shop, taped to a telephone pole, or on a windshield.
This project started as a way to fuel inspiration in all aspects of my life. I've always believed there is beauty everywhere and I want to be responsible for creating that beauty for people who least expect it.
I've had to do a lot of letting go recently, although I have gained so much strength through these experiences, it's also caused me to feel empty and blocked from creative inspiration. Making these little cards and notes has filled me up again. We all need to be reminded we are not alone from time to time. We all need to know that we are special, capable, beautiful, happy, lucky.
