Travel Destination: Willikies, Antigua
Date of travel: December 13th - December 20th
Who went on this trip? My husband & I
Where did you stay? Pineapple Beach Club
Would you recommend? Yes - this is the most laid back resort on the island (that is literally what they say about themselves). Entertainment and activities every day and every night.
Something we learned about this destination/culture: there is a lot of history on the island and INCREDIBLE views. We took a Private Island Tour from 9am-3pm one day and in our opinion this was quite worth it.
What we would do again: stay in the 100s or 200s block of rooms. Close to quite literally everything except the BBQ spot which is not a terrible walk up to!
What we would do differently: 7 days while it feels long, in my opinion is not enough for one resort! Id recommend at least a 10 day stay and to include at least two tours/excursions offsite. Remember to fill out a piece of wood to be hung up in the BBQ spot, we forgot this!
Tips for future travelers: There are two à la carte restaurants and one buffet (Topaz) for dinner. The a la carte restaurants require reservations and fill up quickly, you can make the reservations 48 hours in advance. We had no problems do this almost every night. They won’t “fill your cups” with alcohol if you bring a reusable cup but we poured our drinks into them to help then stay cold. They will fill your water bottles at the bar so bring them! This is more a “self-service” all-inclusive, meaning you walk to get your lunch, your snacks, your alcohol and there is no alcohol in your rooms here.
Overall we had an excellent time. We would go back with a group of friends! We have many other destinations on our list :)
