I believe the best case solution at this point is to police our own communities ourselves and decline the assistance of the police who have shown themselves to be either incompetent, malicious, or just apathetic. How this comes about, i can’t say, but i think it’s safe to say that when we have hit this level of distrust for the police, it’s going to be a miracle if the cops can salvage their reputations, and then go on to do the job correctly that they are supposed to provide.
