How to stop a genie from harming you (read below)...

A secret third thing (explain your theory).

A common genie trope is "be careful what you wish for", in which your three wishes come with unforeseen consequences (example: wishing to be rich kills a loved one and the money comes from inheritance/life insurance/a settlement of some kind. Wishing that loved one back to life brings them back as a zombie. And un-wishing all of your wishes sends you back in time to the moment just before making your first wish, but without the knowledge/memories of your experiences, trapping you in an endless loop of bad wishes).
But if your first wish could negate that affect, do you then get two good wishes? If you were to wish something like
"I wish that amy mortal, spirit, or creature of any kind that knowingly or unknowingly causes me any harm would suffer the repercussions of those actions instead of me"
would that stop the genie's power from hurting you? Or at the very least to suffer it's power instead, as well as keeping the genie from retaliating against you?

The Doven Coven: beautiful, charming, passionate to the point of deadly. They patrol during the day for danger and assist in gathering goods from the mainland.
The Owl Coven: brutal, clever, and cunning. They patrol during the night and run many aspects of the island, particularly the library and museum.
The Vulture Coven: violent, bloody, and beautiful. They guard everything at all times, awaiting the danger that lurks beyond the Great Wall.
The Trident Coven: wild, their tempers ebb and flow like the tides...the ocean surrounding the island belongs to them.
The Grimm Coven: quiet, calm, but never underestimate the Grimm. They are the keepers of the dead, as well as assisting in collecting precious gems and metals for the island.
The Storm Coven: only one true Storm will come at a time, vanishing once more. Because of this, they are viewed as omens. When they are there, this member will keep justice, protecting the innocent and punishing the wicked.
The Raven Coven: seers, singers, and hunters alike. They entertain the island with music and plays but also warn them of things yet to come. They run the island's medical bay as well.
The Scythe Coven: as sweet as summer and as cold as winter, depending on how they are treated. They provide the island with crops and fresh food.
The Burned Coven: powerful, passionate, yet gentle. They run they forge, creating and caring for the weapons and armor, as well as maintaining the mechanical guards and The Wall.
The Serpent Coven: quick, cunning, and alluring. They are in charge of magical means of defending, attacking, and healing.
The Talaria Coven: light fingered and light hearted. They are the runners, impossible to catch. Messengers and spies, they also assist in gather goods from the mainland.
The Wild Coven: sweet, enchanting, and brutal to thier enemies...they are not out to get you but are better in your side. They assit in the growth of crops and the medical bay, but mostly, they dance and drink.
And I'm allowing my readers to choose who their lover interest for the four species will be, staring with the winged people of the stars, so here's a little about each bachelor.
🌟 Please reblog to break containment! 🌟
The prince looking for his princess: sweetheart and the golden retriever of the trio, a total romantic and a writer of romance and murder mystery novels that he publishes secretly under a pen name. A "roses and diamonds and slow dancing to love songs" type of man.
The Starship captain and his sleeping beauty: stoic and serious and the scarred up pitt bull of the trio, with a secret longing to be loved, has a tragic past that few know anything about. Secretly a talented musician and a gentle giant type (big, big, BIG muscular man, he is GLORIOUS to behold).
The scientist who did not expect to fall in love: Cold, calculated, a little judgmental, to be honest, the black cat of the trio. But when he falls, he falls hard and makes an absolute fool of himself. Very much a "you're so in love with Y/N it makes you look stupid" type.
A distant alien race faced with near extinction after a brutal war. Females of their species are rare enough but, having lost so many people. they must face a terrible truth: this may be the end of their people.
However...
A scientist with expansive knowledge of the universe and many other species knows of one that could provide a solution:
Humans.
Their species are sturdy, fertile, and very, very able to breed with these particular aliens successfully (as they are pretty similar at the bare bones of it), their desperation to survive leading to what was (after some after thought) a rather stupid thing to do: a ship was sent to collect some humans, keep them in stasis, and bring them to the alien planet (I'm naming it Nar'el). Here, as they prepare to wake the humans, they sort of realize...hey, that was fucked up of us, wasn't it??? So they wake them up, give them the royal treatment, beg for forgiveness, and make an offer:
Stay, have children, and live in luxury for the rest of their lives or return home (with a small fortune) as an apology for, ya know, abduction.
Thoughts: there are four main species of this alien race and thus at least four male leads.
All eyes are black with colored irises (or completely black in some cases), a bit bigger then humans even when small, and very well endowed (because why not?? hell, I'll even give some of them two dicks to double your fun, and the fishy ones an have tentacle dicks).
The winged people of the mountains and stars....known for having skin colors of white, purple, and blue (all with a shimmer over it); white hair that is typically worn long and decorated with beads and braids; blue, black, or purple eyes. Known to be very tall and elegant, cold to the touch, with soft voices.
Masters of invention and aviation, many going into the "Starlight Legion" in hopes of captaining their own ship.
They're found of silver, anything that reminds them of starlight. Most are seen in basic "public" uniforms of some kind with personal clothing only worn at home.
Everything is neat, pale with splashes of neon, and pretty.
The romantic lead would either be a prince looking for his princess, the captain of the ship that collected the humans (who fell in love with a sleeping beauty), or a scientist who did not expect to fall in love.
The mighty people of the earth....known for having skin colors of green, brown, red, and yellow; dark hair in shades of brown, black, red, and blue (always very, very dark hues) worn either short or long; black or brown eyes, sometimes a glittering gold. Known to be muscular, warm, and often more quiet then the others.
Builders, farmers, gardeners, miners, and very skilled at hard labor, they make up the majority of Nar'el.
They're found of silver, gold, and precious gems, often dressing plainly with their accessories and things standing out amongst simple cotton and leather.
Villages are more like big families, with strong communal traditions (and polyamory) being rather common.
Everything is warm and gentle and welcoming, almost like home.
The romantic lead would either be a king hoping to save his people, a rough and tough lumberjack type looking for true love, or two brothers hoping to find a wife to share their cottagecore life with.
The gilled + finned people of the islands, coasts rivers and seas...known for having skin colors of blue, purple, green, and silver and often with some kind of pattern to it, anything from spot to strips to scales; sharp toothed and clawed; a vast array of hair colors from black, blue, green, red, purple, white; blue, black, purple, or green eyes. Known to be sleek and muscular, with musical voices, often reclusive.
Tradesmen and treasure hunters, all who enjoy wealth, they are a prosperous people, many are also musicians and singers.
Curious yet shy by nature, most are quite scholarly.
Everything is dark and mysterious yet very lovely.
The romantic lead would either be a musician who thinks you are his muse, a wealthy prince that wants someone to spoil, or a pirate who was pardoned for his previous crimes due to his valiant war effort and rewarded with a potential bride.
The fiery people of the volcanos and deserts....known for having skin colors of red, orange, brown, yellow, and black; black, brown, gold, or red hair; gold, red, orange, brown, or black eyes. Known to be warm (almost feverish) to the touch, with deep voices, with a tradition of tattoos.
Builders, hunters, singers, painters, and dancers, some can actually control fire.
Many are nomadic by nature, fond of silks and pretty things.
Everything is warm and bright and loud.
The romantic lead is either a prince with a romantic (seductive) side to him, a lonely hunter hoping for someone to keep warm on those long nights out in the wild, or a dancer sent to entertain their guests only to fall in love.
