i love girl scout camp. im working on a story that relates to it. i will work at my favorite camp one day. please ask me about any of this I could infodump so hard.

Me when I forget my limbs at home

sometimes I’m talking about Girl Scout songs with non girlscouts and forget how dang unhinged they are until I go

🪞 - what plot points, character archetypes, and themes do you find yourself falling back on again and again in your work

hmmm i do a lot of themes of like. hurt comfort stuff and basically making my characters suffer just so i can make them feel better :3 also a lot of my characters lean toward being kinda sarcastic, no matter their personality

💫 - what part of a story is your favorite to write, in general? beginning, middle, or end?

middle for sure! it’s easier than the others for me cause everything’s already set up, but you don’t have to worry about like. leaving any plot points unresolved because you’ve still got time

⏳ - what books have inspired your writing the most?

compound fracture by ajw and under the whispering door by tj klune i think :3 compound fracture is in a similar ish setting (at least region wise) and one of my protagonists is kinda similar to miles (at least to me), and utwd inspired a lot of ideas around living life to the fullest and whatnot for me. oh also motheater by linda h codega, which i literally just started reading yesterday but has already given me soooo many ideas

favorite camp song?

(this took me a while to get to cause i lowk forgot but) i like the gump gump song and i also like singing my highland goat to piss people off :3 and this is really unhinged but there’s this song that’s about violence against frogs-it goes like “we all know frogs go *stomp* when you step on em, they don’t go gump gump gump” and then it continues listing what noises frogs make when maimed in various ways-i just think it’s hilarious that it’s an official camp song

Girl Scout camp is actually a really interesting setting for a story because you’re in close confines with the same people for days or weeks at a time and you’re all probably queer so yeah. :)

what words i find myself using a lot? hmmm i use “seem” a ridiculous amount-like an entire part of my editing process is just taking out that word cause i don’t need to be using it 20+ times in one chapter, also i use too many adjectives and adverbs in general lol

i try to get myself to write at least every other day, but it depends on what i’ve been doing and whatnot-if i’m at school it’s usually less frequent cause i’m busier but on weekends or breaks i try to write more

not really-i mean, i *have* pretty much all the major social medias but tumblr is the only one where my writing is relevant (unless you count my artfight and tapas where i post my stuff? idk)

ig my subject matter maybe? mainly because i don’t think a lot of other people are writing about girl scout camp lol
