After a late start I did actually make it to Wembley in the 1000 degree heat and saw MCR for what I think is the 5th time?
I only got there about 20mins before they started but that was quite nice, less hanging about, sadly less time to catch up with friends though. We lucked out with the tickets and we were SO close. The main stage is weirdly low though so saw fuck all but the b stage was right in front of us and I could see them with my own eyeballs and it was so weird??? I’m used to not seeing anything at gigs so to have them right there was wild. The setlist was insane and they played some of my absolute favs and the crowd was so chill and I didn’t even want to kick a man at any point. It was class, even at my old age 🙃 I’m excited to find out how messed up I am tomorrow, I already hurt and have lost my voice.
I did really really really miss the baby though, especially while waiting 5 years for the train at the end, but I got back in decent time and have had lots of cuddles. Pretty sure I will never leave her again ever. All in all it was about 5 hours which is probably the longest I’ve been away from her. It’s very weird to go back into the world and be a person and not just in a bubble with the baby? I did kinda feel like I’d lost my right arm.
