Crowley, in the backroom of The Dirty Donkey in 1967 and, in his flat, where Hell could get in? He always sat with his back to the door.
We can see from other scenes that this was all an act to make him seem more in control and powerful than he really felt. Sitting without being able to see the room and with his back to the door was something that he felt he had to do in situations where he was posturing to make him look so powerful/untouchable that he didn't need to be concerned about anyone daring to come after him.
In reality, though, we see other scenes that show that this really made him very anxious, as it does for many people with PTSD.
At Marguerite's in S2, we saw Crowley sit sideways at the outdoor table with his back to the interior of the restaurant so that he could see in every direction at once. In sitting this way, he could see the front door of the bookshop, Whickber Street, and the people going in and out of Marguerite's, all at once. By sitting with his back to the wall, it made it so that no one was walking behind him, which made him less jumpy. But then look what happened in the scenes where Aziraphale selected the table...
Aziraphale arrived first at Give Me Coffee in 2.01 and picked a table with a seat that backed up against the wall and faced the door. He left that seat open for Crowley.
Aziraphale then did the same thing again when choosing the table at The Dirty Donkey, where he left Crowley the seat facing the door and also seemed to miracle empty a circle of a few feet of space behind him so that he wouldn't be startled by someone behind him getting too close to him.
That angel knows Crowley well enough to know that Crowley needs to always be able to see the door and that he doesn't like to be too crowded or unexpectedly touched by people he doesn't know. Aziraphale is shown just handling that for them while they're out to eliminate stressors for Crowley and that? Is very hot.
Crowley always appears to be saving Aziraphale, but it's not one-sided. Azi makes Crowley feel safe.

n all seriousness sesame street is such an important piece of living media. it has been around for DECADES and from day 1 highlighted the importance of diversity empathy and education for children in a fun way. their mission statement is “Helping Kids Everywhere Grow Smarter, Stronger, and Kinder”. it’s been such an influence for so many people at a formative age. it’s creators made it w the intention that it could be a resource for underprivileged kids and help them prepare for kindergarten. thousands of people have learned english from our friends on sesame. pls (at media corporations) don’t let a beloved cultural phenomenon die

Almost 3 years ago, while at the most sleep-deprived moment of my life, got the kindest advice from you.
My son and I are now in the toddler years. He is the most amazing little human. Every day I try a little harder than the day before to be the best parent I can be for him. Through all of that, I still feel such imposter syndrome. I know no parent really knows what they are doing, I just feel like eventually everyone (especially my son) will find out that I REALLY have no idea what I'm doing.

Nope. Never goes away. But one day you look at your kids with THEIR kids, and you realise that they are making it up as they go along too. And you feel a whole lot better.

Whickber Street is a human AU, enemies to lovers (but only one of them is an enemy), grumpy x sunshine (and Crowley is the sunshine), in which many of the side characters we all love are getting a little more attention than usual. I’ve tried very hard to balance a lot of emotional topics, including grief, bias, and parental trauma, with a healthy dose of comedy. It is also a love story (bc it’s me), but not solely a love story for our Ineffable Husbands! There are multiple other couples who will find love! Features Tracy as a sex shop owner, Shadwell as an aging rock star, Fergus as the bartender, and Jim as…Jim!
Summary:
Anthony J. Crowley doesn’t think he’s ever been so happy. He’s finally quit his old job and is opening his childhood dream: a comic book shop. All of the neighbors are great, but the bookseller seems to hate him…
Aziraphale Eastgate grew up in his great grandfather’s shop. Now he runs it and lives above it. He loves everything about his life on Whickber Street…. but the new proprietor down the street has him terribly, terribly vexed.
Sparks fly when these two meet, and Aziraphale vows to hate him forever. Fergus, meanwhile, sets a timer.
Looks like Cupid has come to Soho.
