I’d love to introduce you all to our furry companions: Autumn, our sweet chinchilla, and Warren, the family bunny. As adorable as they both are, they can’t share a space—bunnies can carry a disease called Bordetella, which is dangerous to chinchillas. So Autumn lives in the room my husband and I share, happily nestled in her cozy little setup. Warren, meanwhile, is our free-roaming explorer. He spends most of his time lounging in his favorite corners of the living room, occasionally wandering into the dining room. But the moment he hears the rustle of his treat bag? He bolts toward us like it’s the bunny Olympics. It never gets old!
My Home Bakery Logo
My husband came up with the name, and it’s perfect. I found someone to bring it to life, and they created a logo that feels like me — warm, inviting, and full of heart. I look at it often — not just because it’s beautiful, but because it reminds me of a dream I once had: to start my own home bakery. It’s been on pause while I navigate the ups and downs of my mental health, but I hold onto the hope that once I figure things out, I’ll finally be able to begin. And when that happens, I know I’ll be unstoppable.

Back After 1 Year, 7 Months, and 16 Days — With New Insights and Renewed Energy
It’s been 1 year, 7 months, and 16 days since I last posted here. A lot has happened, and I’ve been doing some deep reflecting — not just about this blog, but about myself. One of the biggest shifts is that I’m currently being tested for ADHD. It’s something I’ve suspected for a while, and finally decided to explore. Looking back, so many things make sense now — the hyperfocus, the burnout, the way my passions come in waves. Baking used to be my everything. I was so passionate about it — constantly dreaming up new recipes, experimenting in the kitchen, feeling that spark every time I pulled something warm and golden from the oven. But somewhere along the way, that passion faded. Not because I stopped loving it, but because something in me couldn’t keep up. My brain would flood with ideas, but it was like I physically couldn’t bring myself to follow through. That disconnect was painful and confusing. I also realized that possibly having ADHD contributed to me putting my dream of starting a home bakery on hold. It wasn’t that I didn’t care — I cared deeply. But the overwhelm, the executive dysfunction, the mental roadblocks… they made it feel like climbing a mountain just to take the first step. If the testing confirms what I suspect — that I really do have ADHD — it would explain so much. And with the right support and treatment, I truly believe I’ll be unstoppable. I’m ready to reclaim my joy, my creativity, and my kitchen. And speaking of kitchens — I’m thrilled to share that I’m officially registered as a New York State home processor under the name of my home bakery: Whisked Away by Angela. It’s a dream that’s been quietly waiting, and now it’s finally taking shape. So here I am, showing up again. No pressure, no perfection — just presence. If you’ve been here before, thank you for sticking around. If you’re new, welcome. I’m excited to see where this next chapter leads. Now that autumn is here — my favorite season for comfort and creativity — I’ll be posting cozy baking and cooking recipes. Many of them come straight from my favorite food blogs — the ones I’ve loved and trusted over the years. Think warm spices, hearty meals, and sweet treats that make the season feel extra special. I can’t wait to share them with you.
