Memory Lane
Wow! It’s been... so many years since I have posted a single thing on this tumblr page.
This morning, I had a sudden wave of nostalgia so I went on Spotify and looked up SHINee. I listened to their first three albums and reminisced about how much I loved SHINee. Then I started to think about the other groups too. U-KISS, MBLAQ, 2NE1, and on and on and on.
A lot has happened in the past couple of years in this part of the music world. Between the grief of losing idols that people continue to love and the sudden boom Kpop has experienced in the West, it’s been quite a ride.
I remember when I used to post things like “people tell me I’ll grow out of Kpop and I just laugh” or something along those lines, but I guess I kind of did? Not in the sense that I feel like I am better than this space, but that I grew up. Had to do many other things. Left things behind as a result.
But it sure is nice to be reminded some times of the simpler times. When I was the young fan in middle school/high school rather than the oldie.
And cringe at some of my fan girl posts.
