“IT’S CHRISTMAS MORNINGGGG!”
Charlie jumped up and down, the plush mattress of Lucifer’s bed bent with the weight of the adult princess. She watched as the lump in the blankets moved with every bounce. The two lovers intertwined even while asleep.
While the Morningstars had their own traditions on Christmas, Charlie had this one of her own. Every year, on Christmas morning, she would wake up at the crack of dawn and run to her parents room and wake them up by bouncing on the bed and yelling at the top of her lungs, that it was in fact Christmas. Like the jumping wasn’t enough of an indication it was Christmas.
An ash coloured arm stuck out of the pile of blankets, begging for mercy. Lucifer turned to lay on his back. His eyes were still completely closed and his brain was still half asleep but the fear of being squished by his daughter was stronger than his need for sleep. Charlie stopped as soon as she saw both you and him were awake, or at least as close as you could be at this hour.
“Morning char-char,” Lucifer’s voice was gravelly as he greeted his girl. “You know the drill, go make something in the kitchen. We’ll be down in a bit.”
Lucifer and Lilith had gotten creative when it came to making up ways to keep the hyperactive princess busy, especially on a day like today. They had made it tradition for Charlie to go down to the kitchens and make some kind of treat after she had woken them up. It was also tradition for Lucifer to go and take a long bath in the morning, Lilth never liked baths so she never joined him. Those baths let Lucifer have the time to relax before he had to assemble Charlie’s presents, the hour still too early to even be awake.
These traditions weren’t going to change and both Morningstars knew that. Lucifer had been courteous enough to tell you about Charlie’s traditional wake up call though.
You rolled yourself in the blanket as Charlie raced out of the room and down to the kitchens to bake something, now probably with Vaggi. Lucifer stretched his hands over his head,‘his muscles flexed with the movement. He didn’t have a shirt on anymore, so the display was obvious. The shorts he wore had little ducks and swans with Christmas hats on them.
Lucifer stood up and turned to you, “I always take a bath on Christmas morning, do you…want to join me? You don’t have to!”
“That’d be nice, I’ll join you hun.” You stood up. It didn’t bother you to get naked in front of Lucifer, there was some awkwardness when it came to sex because of the action but you could do regular naked no problem. It was just a body in the moment, not something for pleasure. This would be much easier than convincing yourself premarital sex was fine.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
You were regretting that yes at the moment, this wasn’t as easy as you remembered. You had to slap your hands over your eyes when Lucifer had peeled his shorts off of his body. To be fair to you, his body had been carved out of marble. Your face hurt with how red it was. The burning only increased when Lucifer had lightly pulled at your hands. Your eyes going to his backside that was exposed in the mirror.
“What’s wrong angel? You shy?”
“No!” You threw your hands down, annoyed at him getting it bullseye. “I, I just um” you tried to find a good excuse, “I don’t want us getting distracted and you make that hard!” It was a half truth.
“I’m hard, hm?” Lucifer smiled at you, his hands still on your wrists. He took a small step towards you. The sound of the water filling the tub covered the sound of your indignation.
“That is not-“
“Relax Sunshine, now turn around, let me help you.” He moved his hands to hold your hips as you spun on your heels. The tile of his bathroom cool against the sole of your feet. Lucifer’s hands worked quickly at the buttons on the back of the nightgown you wore. It was, admittedly, very gorgeous. The gown was white and had an empire waist and puff sleeves. There were pearls embroidered around the neck and waist lines. The beads were, somehow, never uncomfortable to lay on. The dress looked like it was modeled after the regency period on Earth as it fell to a puddle at the floor. Without a word, Lucifer went to turn the water faucet off, turning back to you only to lift a hand to help you into the humongous claw footed tub. You took it, the silence nice against the slight discomfort as you did your best to not make eye contact with Lucifer’s exposed crotch. Lucifer however, was not as strict with his celibacy for the day as he pinched your butt. You smacked him on the chest as he laughed at you. Your own giggles escaping as you sat down.
Lucifer had pulled a bottle of champagne and some glasses out of the air. The expensive drink a nice addition to the bubble bath you shared with your Lucifer. You sat facing him, your legs pulled up slightly to make room for him. Lucifer legs sat outside of your own, knees coming to knock against yours at times. You spoke in hushed tones with him. The crackle of the bubbles the most intense sound in the suite. The definite chaos of the downstairs was miles away from the two of you. It was a nice way to start your morning.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
The downstairs was surprisingly calm when you and Lucifer stepped through the portal he conjured. You had a pile of presents to add under the tree, and were happy to see the already full skirts. You were once again pleasantly surprised at the goodwill of some sinners. Charlie had whipped up some simple sugar cookies for everyone while you and Lucifer had bathed. You grabbed one and sat with Lucifer on a large arm chair near the tree. You sat half on his lap and half on the chair. He moved his hand to wrap around you and sit on the top of your leg. His claws flexed in the fat of thighs as he spoke to Vaggi who was sat on the sofa beside you.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
Overall, the presents had gone well, Nifty had made a play with the roaches and performed it all for you. The plot was… a little morbid and very much against angels but she put a lot of effort into it and you’d admire that aspect. At some point, Lucifer had whispered to you that he had a little surprise for you after everyone was done. There was an obvious nervousness in his voice with the shake of the words and pauses he took. The way he shifted in his seat, his hands going to his pocket did nothing to aid in his fight to seem controlled. You let it be, he would have told you if something was wrong.
After everyone was done with their gifts, Lucifer made good on his promise and guided you to the centre of everyone. You saw the little thumbs up Angel gave Lucifer. You were getting more and more intrigued as time went on. What could you possibly have for me my love? While in Lucifer’s mind, he was begging his father for the first time in a long time. Asking him for his silver tongue to not fail him now.
“Sunshine, I want to give you one last gift. This gift is a symbol of not only my love for you but is a promise. I love you my plum, most ardently. Mind, body, and soul you possess me. Therefore I ask, if you will accept this ring,” Lucifer knelt down on one knee, his hands steady to his genuine surprise as he lifted and opened the ring box. Inside was the ring he saw at that store in the mall. “as a promise to you that I will cherish and love you forevermore.”
Both you and Charlie were crying. Vaggi had to hold Charlie up, without her, the princess would be a pile of tears on the floor.
“Yes oh Luci yes! Dear God I love you.” You wrapped your arms around him as he put the ring on your right ring finger. The left he needed to leave for a different ring. He rocked you back and forth, joy bursting out of him at this little success in your relationship.
“Merry Christmas Baby.”

Lucifer laid in bed staring at the ring box on his nightstand. The alarm clock read 11:45 PM in a harsh red light. The time blinked at him, and asked Lucifer why he was still awake. The truth was, Lucifer was attempting to untangle the thoughts in his mind. Will she hate the ring? What if she says no? Will she hate me? This isn’t an engagement. This should be fine! It’s just a gift with a meaning. A simple meaning. ‘I love you Sunshine, and this ring represents tha- no that’s bad. What if I start with a ‘I want to ask y-’ no that’s a marriage proposal. Lucifer dragged his clawed hands down his face. This wasn’t going anywhere and he was still no closer to falling asleep so he decided to get up. Lucifer threw on the pink fluffy robe that was crumpled on a chair nearby. He put on some slippers and a pair of reading glasses, not that he needed them to see, angel blood and all, but it went with the disheveled father look he had going on. Even if no one was around to see, Lucifer had some kind of outfit on, regardless of how messy it was, it was still an outfit.
The hinges on Lucifer's suite doors creaked as he opened it. The hall was quiet, not another soul was up at the late hour. Lucifer dragged himself down to the communal kitchens, a glass of warm milk was sure to help him.
Lucifer’s racing thoughts didn’t stop as he opened the fridge door, or when he poured a glass of milk, and they definitely didn’t stop when Lucifer lit one of his fingers using his powers under the glass to heat the drink up. They didn’t stop when he took a sip of the drink, the hot liquid calming his throat as it slid down. Lucifer’s mind would not stop thinking. Thinking about you, about how you’d react, how you’d smile and cry, if you’d smile or cry. He made script after script in his head, each one not good enough. There was always something else he wanted to include, or some piece of clarifying information on how this wasn’t a proposal, just a promise. Do I get down on one knee? Shit do I need flowers, I don’t have flowers. I could grab a hellhound? Lucifer was so consumed with his thoughts that he didn’t see you sitting on the ground in front of the lit Christmas tree. He was pulled from the ball of yarn that was his mind when you spoke.
“Luci?”
“AaaAaAhHhhh!” Lucifer’s hands waved frantically in front of him, “Oh! Sunshine, it’s you. What are you doing up? It’s late, you need to sleep.” Lucifer came and sat beside you on the ground, his glass of milk forgotten on a side table somewhere. Milk covered the space above Lucifer’s lip, you laughed when you saw it. You wiped it away using the corner of your top.
“I could ask you the same thing you know?” You paused before telling him your reason for being awake, “I just, couldn’t sleep, I’m just so happy. I have everything I want, I have you and Charlotte, as well as some friends here. I feel guilty that I have it here. You know?” You spun on the hardwood floors to face Lucifer fully. The look in your eyes implored the man in front of you to understand the complex feelings.
Lucifer followed your movements, turning to face you. He pulled you into his lap by your hips. Your legs unfolded themselves to fit around him. You locked your ankles together behind his back, keeping yourself close to him. He reached one hand up to your face, stroking his thumb over your cheek. He gazed into your eyes, thousands of lifetimes of love in his pupils as they expanded. “I know, and you know, that will never go away, you have learn to let it happen. Give thanks to whoever you want for all that you have sugar. Let yourself be happy when you can. It’s a hard thing to come by, I’ve learnt.” Lucifer whispered against your lips before he kissed you, slow and loving. There is no need to rush eternity. You pulled him back by his shoulders when he tried to part.
“I love you.” It was so simple, three words, three syllables. It carried more weight than Lucifer's crown.
Lucifer flicked his wrist and the nearby radio flipped on, to a station that was not owned by Alastor. Even in these quiet moments of joy, Lucifer refused to give that deer anything. Lucifer stood as the classical music flowed from the speakers. He offered you a hand, which you took, the time of night getting to you now. He moved his left hand to face upward, his right sat snuggly against your waist. The pyjamas you wore bunched where he held you. You mirrored his position, one hand in his and the other on his shoulder.
Lucifer spun you in circles, lifting you up and twirling you in the air like you were a princess. He hummed as he danced with you. Each step pulled at his thoughts until they had been untangled. Lucifer knew exactly what he was going to do tomorrow, there was no doubt in his mind that you’d like it. For if you would dance with the devil the night before humanity’s saviour was born, then he was sure you’d spend the rest of everything with him. Lucifer let his wings unfurl from his back, one pump of the muscles and you were air born. Your bodies just above the Christmas tree you had set up with your family the other day. Eventually Lucifer had dipped you down, and then back up. He guided you to the top of the tree. Your own wings had joined the fray of feathers at some point but you wouldn’t be able to remember where. They flapped to keep you from crushing the tree. Lucifer lowered himself slightly, so he was looking up at you.
Lucifer whispered so quiet you almost didn’t hear him but thank everything you did. His words set your soul ablaze and your mind spun with joy.
“I can hardly wait for the day I can tell all of hell you are their Queen.”
You used your foot to pull Lucifer up to your height, capturing his lips with your own. The royal put up no restraint as you kissed him.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
Charlie snuck down the hallway, her long frizzy blonde hair her personal curtain. A stack of haphazardly wrapped boxes in her arms, the pile was so big she could barely see over the top of it. As she neared the opening to the lobby, she did see the shadows of two people. She set the pile of boxes down quickly, wanting to spy on the moment more then she wanted to play Santa. Charlie peeked around the corner and had to shove the collar of her shirt in her mouth to keep from squealing. There you were, with her father, dancing around in the air. She watched with stars in her eyes as he set you on the tree. She saw her father’s mouth move but couldn’t hear what he said, she wanted to cry when you kissed him. Her wish for Christmas had come true, her dad was happy. She was so happy with this that when she turned to run down the hallway, wanting to escape being caught and scolded for being up so late, she forgot the pile of presents in the middle of the hall.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
Lucifer whispered in your ear as he set you down on the ground again. His magic turning the radio back off. “Sleep in my room tonight sugar. It’s Christmas.” You felt the portal open behind you before you saw the light reflect from it on Lucifer’s face in front of you. You grabbed his hand as you turned around. It was Christmas after all; he was yours after all. As you walked through the portal to Lucifer’s room, you realized you had done the impossible. You had found Heaven in Hell.

⭐Secret Santa Escapades
Secret Santa is a great way to cultivate empathy and compassion in sinners. The outside world wants the attention of their ever allusive King. Grab some snacks and a beverage, get comfy and enjoy <3

“Secret Santa?” Charlie’s head further fell to the side, her brows furrowed as she examined you. She couldn’t tell if you were joking or not.
“Yeah! Did Lucifer not do that with you guys?” You asked her, genuinely surprised that he hadn't introduced it to Charlie.
“No? Does it need a lot of people? It was really just me, my mom and dad.”
“Ah. Yeah it’s easier with a big group.” You leant back against the velvet cushion, one leg crossed over the other. “We put all of our names in a hat, then we pull one and buy that person a gift. It’s a total surprise who got who until we unwrap them on Christmas.”
Charlie leaned closer to you, her eye’s told you of her joy. “That sounds like a great way to practice empathy! And listening! Oh gosh that’s a great idea!”
Lucifer leaned over the back of the couch, having just walked into the conversation. He was in a fuzzy pink sweater and some red cotton pants. The draw string just barely poking out from beneath the sweater. He had a half drunk cup of coffee that he offered to you when he leant down. You took the cup, taking a big swig of the liquid revitalizer. You knew that every ounce of energy would be appreciated if you were spending the whole day in the mall. You handed the cup back to him, your hands lingering longer than what was necessary.
“I’m glad you like the idea Char-char, what time do you think we should start?”
Charlie looked between you, “I wouldn't mind starting now! We’ll need a lot of time to buy things.”
“It’s quite close to Christmas remember.” You added to the conversation, bringing attention to the possibility of there not being much to choose from.
“I highly doubt sinners take time out of their day to buy Christmas gifts.” Lucifer rolled his eyes.
“Oh come now, I’m sure many do.” You twisted to look at the blond who was so quick to judge the people down here.
“I’ll get Alastor to make an announcement to call everyone to the lobby to pull names. Could you guys make them?” Charlie looked between you two again, happy with how relaxed you were in each other's presence. She had yet to ask her father, but with the way he was looking at you, she was pretty confident that everything had worked itself out last night.
You reached for the paper on the table as Lucifer grabbed his phone to hail a limo for the group.
“Does Bambi have to come with?” Lucifer looked down to you sitting on the couch as you cut up the paper, hopeful that you would say no.
“Lucifer,” You drawled with disappointment, “He works here just the same as you.”
Lucifer scoffed, “He doesn’t even do half the work I do and you know it, I-”
“Lucifer. He’s coming to the mall.”
“Fine.” Lucifer turned back to his phone, confirming he needed room for eight people, not seven.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
It was about an hour later when your group got to the mall. It was, to Lucifer’s surprise, busy. He did not miss your look when you first stepped into the throng of sinners. The group split off to buy presents, promising to meet back at the front doors in five hours.
You had drawn Charlie’s name so you decided the best first place to go to was that clothing store she had taken you to three days ago. Although the store was busy, when you walked through the kiosks, it didn’t feel as busy as it actually was. The quiet music did much of the heavy lifting in making it seem that way. The sounds subduing sinners seemingly natural pull towards violence. After you had grabbed some nice casual clothes for the girl you decided to stop and pick up some supplies she could use in activities as well as books on wellness and health. You were surprised to see Hell had books like that but you’ve learnt now to not judge things so quickly down here. For being eternal punishment, Hell had its moments of bliss.
Angel and Vaggi ran off to the liquor store to pick up some bottles for Lucifer and Husk respectively. Despite the two men having very different personalities, they both had an appreciation for a good wine. The two parted when Angel went to a mechanic supplies store. Intent on grabbing gears and screws of all kinds. The spider was convinced this would be useful to the ever inventing King of Hell. Vaggi decided to stay in the liquor store, knowing the fermented drinks were what Husk lived for.
Alastor had found some nice throwing knives for Vaggi, his one condition he made for himself to do this was that he could find something that could bring harm if need be. He wasn’t a fan of all the cozy emotions of the season but if he didn’t want to be out on his ass he’d have to play nice, at least for now.
Charlie had found a cute little store tucked away in a far corner of the mall, the little place had a variety of fluffy clothing that had Angel’s name all over them. The princess even found a matching piece for Fat Nuggets.
Husk had been given Nifty so he decided to spend his time napping on a particularly comfy chair, content on finding unopened cleaning supplies on a top shelf somewhere in the hotel. As long as he cleaned off the dust, Husk was sure no one would be able to tell he didn’t buy the things today.
With Alastor's name on her sheet of paper, Nifty took to finding unsuspecting shoppers and stealing limbs from them. It wouldn’t be a Hazbin Christmas if a little blood wasn’t spilt.
This left Lucifer, who had his arms full of things, most of them were for you, as you were who he was meant to be buying gifts for. As Lucifer walked around the mall he saw things that the others had asked Santa for and decided to help his daughter out a little.
After the 10th sinner had approached him for a picture in the last 5 minutes, Lucifer was reminded why he didn’t go out on the town. Sinners couldn’t keep themselves in check when they saw the royal. Despite his hands off approach with the realm, people wouldn’t leave him alone. They wanted a picture, and if they didn’t want a picture, they wanted a signature, and if they didn’t want a signature, they wanted to make a deal. If they didn’t want to make a deal, they wanted to know where all their livestock that they sacrificed to him in life had ended up, and ‘could I have that girl that I sacrificed to you back by chance?’. It was exhausting, but for you, he’d do it. For you, he’d do anything. If you asked for him to take you both back to Heaven, he’d bend the golden gates with his bare hands.
Lucifer was running through his mental checklist of all the things he had to buy when an advertisement to his right caught his attention. The large screen displayed a woman’s hand with a big ring on her wedding finger. The text that flashed above it read, ‘how to make 5 years of salaries last forever.’ The feeling in the pit of Lucifer’s stomach wasn’t quite foreign, but he definitely hadn’t felt it in a long time. The thought was bitter in his head, She wouldn’t say yes…at least not now. Lucifer knew it was much too soon to propose to you, for a second time. You had just said you guys were courting yesterday. Lucifer checked his watch, 50 minutes. It doesn't hurt anyone to look. His red eyes flicked around, part of him expecting for someone to come up and stop him. But when no one came up to him, Lucifer took a deep breath and puffed his chest out. The workers here were bound to be nosy.
The store was quiet, there wasn’t even anyone behind any of the glass counters, he realized belatedly. Lucifer felt awkward as he walked around, there was no point in him being in here. You weren’t at this point yet, he needed to leave before he made a bad decision. Just as he was about to turn around and leave, a ring caught his eye. In short, it was jaw droppingly gorgeous, it really matched your beauty. In long, the band was the shiniest metal he had ever seen. There was a big pearl shaped diamond in the centre, multiple smaller diamonds framed the main one. The diamonds were the brightest, clearest white you could find. All the stones were set in a cathedral style, anchoring the gems while allowing for their brilliance to shine. It was you in a ring. It was almost better than the first one he gave you. His eyes wandered to the price and it was definitely something only he could buy. Lucifer grabbed his phone and took a picture of the ring, it’s good to be prepared, Lucifer justified.
“Your Majesty!”
His smile was forced as he turned around. The sinner in front of him was familiar however. If only he could place from where.
“Afternoon, good sir.” Lucifer kept his tone smooth as he looked at the old man. His hair and beard were white and straw like in texture. He held a cane in his left hand, the worn wood told of its practical use instead of for fashion like one in Lucifer’s hands. A broken monocle hung around his neck. It bounced with the speed the man was walking toward him. The clothes the man wore were well used, stains littered the front of his shirt. His pants had holes at the back from his heels constantly rubbing against them. The man was also dressed for a temperature not from Pentagram City. He wore layer upon layer and fur lined the boots he wore.
The man cleared his throat, despite it, his voice was horse when he spoke. “Which one are you thinking of getting that beauty you got back at home? I worked in jewelry when I was alive, I could tell you what you need to know. No need to bother with these uptight assholes. Ain’t even a person at the desk. Can tell ya that never happened at my shop.”
It clicked in Lucifer's mind, this man had come up to him when you guys had gone on sleigh rides. This man had asked if you were married, and Lucifer said he could do the job when he was in town. Ah, Feathers was right, I’m regretting it. He did not want to tell this stranger, this sinner, that he wasn’t actually buying a ring. He was just looking because his resolve is too weak.
The man looked past Lucifer to the ring he had been looking at. “Oh ain’t that one just lovely, I’m sure price ain’t a factor for you, huh Your Majesty?” He laughed as he pushed forward to look at the ring better. He brought the monocle up to his eye. “Oh a clarity like that can only be from blood diamonds, I’d know them things anywhere, I sold a many of em in life.” The man had to squint with the crack in the spectacle.
So that’s why you’re down here, blood diamond trading, Lucifer wondered of the atrocities the old man in front of him committed to get his hands on some pressurized rocks. Then again, Lucifer was about to buy one so how bad was he actually? Lucifer waved his hand, pitying how hard it was for the man to see. The glass fixed itself and the rim was reinforce with gold. He then adjusted his hat, “I was just looking to see what they had here, I’m not committing to anything yet.” He checked his watch, “I must be going now, have a good day sir,” Lucifer smiled politely.
“Oh here sir, take my card, it’ll be on the house! I insist, ya fixed my glasses for me! I must return the favor.” The man riffled around in the front pocket of his suit jacket, handing Lucifer a card before bending to a deep bow.
Lucifer took the card from his hands delicately, despite the guy in front of him seeming fine, Lucifer would loathe to be touched by some sinner.
He smiled again, a little more real with the respect the guy gave him. “Thank you.” Lucifer turned and walked briskly back to the entrance, ignoring the shouts and heckles that followed him.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
With hands full and wallets empty, everyone returned to the hotel. Your group had all eventually migrated to the lobby. You and Vaggi sat on the couch, telling each other stories from days long past in Heaven. Nifty had scuttled off to some corner, playing with the roaches that crawled around the hotel. Alastor sat at the grand piano, playing some peaceful jazz music, Charlie sat nearby, swaying to the song he played as she organized papers on the ground. Lucifer and Angel sat at the bar, as Husk wiped dirt off of the glasses. Lucifer read the card that man gave him over and over again.
‘Windsor’s Jewels,
made by Rubin Windsor
From promise ring to engagement ring to wedding ring’
Lucifer sighed, dragging a clawed hand through his meticulously styled blond hair. He was hunched over his phone staring at the photo he took at the boutique.
Angel leaned over after the fifth sigh sounded from Lucifer’s crumpled form. He only got a glimpse at the ring but that’s all he needed.
“Your Majestyyyyy, it’s time for that already? Does Charlie know?”
Lucifer shot up, turning to see if you had heard but you were on the opposite side of the room and still engrossed in your conversation with Vaggi. He turned back when he realized that you weren’t listening. The card had been snatched by Angel, Husk was leaning over the counter to read it with Angel.
“Engagement huh?” Husk asked. Lucifer couldn’t quite decipher the look on the cat’s face.
“No! Nonononono I um just was uh looking yep! We…we aren’t ready for that yet.” Lucifer fidgeted in his seat, arms flying up to fix his hat.
“Mmmm” Husk didn’t move from his position over the counter. He saw through the King to his soul. “You still want to give the girl a ring, don't cha?” The question was gentle.
Lucifer looked around Husk, anywhere but his face. “…yeah”
Angel pointed to the card he still had in his hands, “this thing says ‘promise rings’ you could give her one of those? It’s like a pre-engagement ring.”
Lucifer sucked his lip in as he turned around, his eyes going straight to you. “I don’t mind that.” Angel slid the card back to Lucifer, making eye contact with Husk.
Lucifer turned back around to face the two sinners, fixing his hair and straightening his jacket, “You wouldn’t mind covering for me for a few hours would you boys?”

⭐She Brought a Little Heaven to Hell
It’s day 1 and while hell isn’t a surprise to you, a certain resident is shocked to see you again. I’m sure he’ll handle the surprise fine, who wouldn’t want to see the person they were once engaged to! Grab some snacks and a beverage, get comfy and enjoy <3

The fall from Heaven isn’t painful, the landing however? The single most painful experience an angel will ever have, and yet it never came as a surprise. You knew your crime. Heaven wasn’t open to change when they discarded your fiancé, banishing him from paradise, from you. Cast out without a second glance. They sure were not open to it now. As you sail through the sky, six wings desperately flapping, attempting to slow your decent; you ponder what your darling Lucifer would say now that you were here, ruined and still as in love with him as the day he first proposed.
The dust settled before you got your bearings. The sooty pavement ripping your skin as you dragged along it. Your wings burnt and twisted from the acceleration. Eventually, you get up and look for security, after all, a broken angel in Hell is far from safe. You knew where you could find that safety and as you walk along the streets of Hell, silently thankful there weren’t any sinners around, you were consumed with thoughts of Lucifer. You had spent the last few centuries effectively spying on him, and so you weren’t naive about what he had gotten up to since his fall. Watching him fall in love again, have his daughter Charlotte, watching with trembling hands and labored breaths as he reclused himself, his Heavenly light dimming. Wishing to go and love him as he needed, just as you once had, as you still do.
Your feet along the cobblestone path, mind still engrossed with thoughts of him. In Heaven, Lucifer was so scared his ideas would drag you down with him, always claiming that you were too good. He claimed he loved you and that meant leaving you in Heaven. Leaving you safe and protected. How worthless were those claims now? Those promises to keep you safe all but null. You hope he won’t be too mad.
You find the onyx manor pretty quickly, dead vines covering near every window. The house sits alone atop a hill, the perfect image of both isolation and power. It was odd seeing it in person and not just through the sphere in the council room. You were both so accustomed to Hell while it was all still so foreign. You didn’t have the energy or power to fly, so slowly wobbling your way up the stairs it was, each step painful more painful than the last. The forceful use of your lungs under broken ribs all you can hear. As you get to the door you hesitate, unsure of what Lucifer’s reaction would be. Maybe going to his daughters hotel is a better idea? I know I saw it at some point. I’m sure she still has it. It can’t be hard to miss right? But then what do I say to Charlotte? ‘Hi I’m your father’s old fiancé that he dumped because he was scared of dragging me to Hell with him. Funny isn’t it?’ like that would go good. It turned out that you didn’t have to make the decision to stay or to seek refugee elsewhere, as Lucifer opened his front door to leave, making direct eye contact with you.
Lucifer’s eyes widened, taking in information a mile a minute. His heart jump starting like it hadn’t had to be used in a millennia, now forced to work faster than ever before. As if on autopilot, he swept his pristine white overcoat off, wrapping you in it and picking you up bridal style. Hugging you close to his chest, the feeling both familiar and foreign. Lucifer teleporting you to the safest place he could think of and somewhere far from himself. Charlie’s hotel.
In a bright flash of Hell fire, you two appeared in Charlie and Vaggi’s room as they discussed menial hotel repairs. They jumped at the unexpected intrusion, Vaggi subtly stepping in front of Charlie, preparing herself to fight. Instead of a threat as they were expecting, they were met with Lucifer, bug eyed and silent. Looking more akin to a ghost than the King of Hell. He looked at Charlie and then down at you.
“Dad? What-What’s going on? Who’s this? Is she okay?” Charlie’s questions increasing in intensity as she saw liquid gold fall from innocent feathers.
Lucifer opened his mouth to provide an explanation, then shut it. And then dropped you on the ground, disappearing just as fast as he showed up. That same red flame ingulfing his figure with a flourish. You were too shocked at the quick change in scenery to be angry at him for not even speaking to you.
You looked up at the two girls, one was definitely Charlotte, the bright blonde hair and rosy cheeks told you that much. The other was unfamiliar but you could tell she was definitely in your shoes a while ago, cut from the same Holy cloth.
“... Hi?” Your voice timid, skeptical of what Lucifer had just dropped into.
“OmigoshareyouokaydidyoufallfromHeavendoyouneedhelpwithallthatbloodgeezethat’salotofbloodareyougoingtofaintohpleasedon’tfainthowdoyouknowmydad?” Charlie lunged towards you, hands hovering either side of you, ready to help you or catch you if you did in fact faint.
“Woah, babe calm down, she’s probably a little disoriented.”
“Right! Sorry, heh” Charlie’s smiled widen in discomfort, she shifted a little, unsure of how to proceed. Turning to Vaggi for support.
Vaggi knelt down and started asking, in a much calmer tone, some base line questions, starting off with “what’s your name?”
You answered their questions as you slowly stood up, still a little wobbly from both shock and blood loss. Charlie kept her arms braced, not totally convinced you could stand on your own. A golden pool had started to surround you.
“My, I’m sorry for making such a mess! I don’t even know yall’s names.” You grimaced at the blood on the bright red carpet.
“Oh right! My name is Charlie and this is my girlfriend Vaggi,” The grey fallen angel waved, “and this is the Hazbin Hotel, we help sinners get redeemed. My dad is Lucifer, but it seems you meet him already.”
“How do you know him?” Vaggi butt in, her one eye analyzing you curiously.
This was the question you feared, any other piece of information you’d hand over, but this one thing was difficult. You didn’t know how much Charlie knew and what Lucifer would want her to know. It broke your heart just a little to think about Lucifer hiding you from anyone, let alone his daughter. He used to be so proud, would he still be now that you were here? Now that a chasm of time separated you.
“Uhm,” you looked around, trying to find something to bind your time with. Before you could weasel your way out of the question however, your eyes unfocused. Any blood left in your system rushing from your head. “I think I’ve lost too much-” you helpless tried to explain to them before your vision went dark.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
The couple had left you in a spare room a few hours ago, returning to their room to both clean up the blood and avoid prying eyes. Neither had a good explanation as to why you were here. They weren’t mad of course, it’s just not commonplace for an angel to dropped in front of them with the silent command to take care of her.
“DAD! Just pick. Up. The. Phone!! I know you’re hearing these voice memos! Tell me why you dropped a bloody seraphim in my room!” Charlie had been trying to contact her dad for at least two hours. She added a quick please and thank you before hanging up and trying again, never one to forget her manners. Charlie groaned, throwing her head into her hands when that call also went to voice mail.
Vaggi gently sat down beside her, a rag of wet gold in her hands. “Listen babe, I love that you’re trying to figure this out but he didn’t pick up the first time, he isn’t going to pick up the 110th time.”
“I knowww, I’m just worried. I mean I have no idea who she is but he felt this was where she should be and he had wrapped his coat around her. He doesn’t just do that for a random angel. He knows her! He looked so scared when he dropped her off, I just want to get this sorted! And it’s the Christmas season! We should be doing…um, well I don’t know! Christmas stuff, not this!. The angel’s almost dead a few doors down, instead of on the tree!”
“We don’t even have a tree?”
Before Charlie could respond, a knock sounded at their door, Charlie got up and opened it, surprised to see her dad after her failed attempts to contact him.
“Heyyyy Char-Char!” He tried to peer around her, “Is my, uh my um, you know? Feathers still in there?” He waved his hands up and down slightly, imitating angel wings. His smile, lopsided and uncomfortable.
Charlie grabbed her dad’s arms and dragged him into the bedroom, kicking the door closed. “What the Hell dad! You don’t answer your phone and now this!? Ugh!” She rubbed her face.
Vaggi rung her hands a little, still nervous about what Lucifer thought of her and not wanting to upset the big boss, she answered him. “She’s a few doors down to the left Sir, She fainted from the blood loss, so we put her in a room. She’s probably asleep.”
“Wonderful! I’ll just go and uh check up on her!” Lucifer turned to hightail it out of there, hoping to skip his daughters questions. Charlie turned to Vaggi, surprise she’d crumble that quickly.
“Dad!” Charlie leant her head out the door, calling after her father, “you aren’t getting out of this one! You got some ‘spanling to do!”
Lucifer quietly entered your temporary room, relief washing over him in the dark room, as he saw you curled up in the blankets. Albeit not looking any better than when he first saw you. He saw his jacket hanging on the bed post near your head, smattered with your blood, he cringed slightly, hating to see your blood out of your body. He slowly crept towards you, not wanting to wake you. He knew how draining that fall was. Once he got close enough to see your face, his blood went cold. He had hoped his mind played a trick on him and that it wasn’t actually you. No. No no no no. Lucifer’s worst fear imagined, you were in Hell. You had fallen. He only prayed that it didn’t have anything to do with him. He knew no one was going to answer but he begged the holy overseers regardless. He never wanted to see you here.
It was bad enough when he had to break both of your hearts in hopes to protect you. It was bad enough when he fell in love with Lilith, when he surrendered his heart to her because he was sure he would never hold you again. It was bad enough when he named his daughter the name you two had picked out for your future child, to at least have a little bit of you with him. It was bad enough when Lilith left and he hugged his pillow mourning, selfishly wishing you were there to comfort him. It was bad enough when you showed up at his door, telling him silently that all that previous pain didn’t matter because you were here anyway. But now you lay in front of him, looking exactly as you had the morning he had left to Eden for the final time. His last words to you muttered against your hand as he kissed the metal of your engagement ring, “best of women, best of Heaven.”
His mind is pulled from the spiral as he reaches out towards you, seeing you wake slowly, bleary eyes trying to make out the darkened hand in font of you, so unfamiliar to you now.
“Lucifer?” you whisper, voice hoarse and unsure.
His confirmation is a low hum and took all his air. Hand hanging in the air, conflicted if he should continue to reach out. You process his being here and sit up. Suddenly full of energy.
“Why Lucifer?” Your voice cracked, completely broken looking at the devil in front of you, and it broke him. You should be screaming or giving him the silent treatment, something, anything other than this. “I can’t believe you. You dirty, lying man.” Each insult venom filled as tears start to fill your vision. Your wounds reopening as as you turn towards him. You sit on the side of the bed, feet planted on the floor. The cool feeling contrasting with the fire within you. Hands grasping at the neatly tucked sheets of the hotel linens. You stab your finger into his chest as you continue to let centuries of pain out. Lucifer bows his head and lets every word wash over him. You start getting more frantic. Words slurring together as you get louder. “When I read that letter, do you know how hard I cried? Lucifer! Say something! Anything! I can’t believe all that and now-” You stand up to make your point, forgetting just how much pain you were in. Your knees buckling underneath the weight of you, your body lurching forward towards Lucifer. He catches you with ease. His hands still fitting around you. Despite it all, your bodies knew no distance, reacting like nothing had changed.
Lucifer looks down at you, eyes full of pain and the dam breaks. You sob into him. Pain and relief all coming together. He holds you, for the first time in a millennia, Lucifer holds you. He walks you forward, sitting down on the bed and pulling you into him as he rest his back against the headboard.
“You-you left me up there Lucifer! All by myself. You left me.”
“I know, I know, shhh, it’s okay now. I got you now. I won’t leave again.”
Lucifer rubs his hands up and down your back. Trying with his words to take every sorrow away. Your hysterics come down with the sun, bathing the room in a blue darkness. Your sobs turn to sniffles, then to deep breath as Lucifer comforts you. Your reopened wounds bleeding out onto his pristine outfit, your tears soak his vest but he makes no comment, only asking how you’re doing. With the confirmation that you weren’t going to burst out into tears anymore he sits you up. Using his magic to give you a loose sleeping button up and pants, as well as a med kit.
“Let me help you Angel,” He looks at you pleading, you can’t tell if this is for you or him anymore. Regardless, you’re in so much pain that you agree readily. He quickly gets to work, cleaning your arms and face first. Tears form in the corner of Lucifer’s eyes, quietly falling as he takes in the wounds on you. The pain he tried to shield you from. At the sight of his tears, more of your own spill. You’re shocked that more can come still. You two sit in silence as he works methodically wrapping you up. His attention turns to your clavicle, where a particularly nasty cut lies, he unbuttons the top few buttons to reach the wound. You finally break the somber silence.
“You know, you used to ask before you started undressing me.” Your smile and wit so out of place.
With his eyes still trained on the incision Lucifer answers you. “It’s nothing I haven’t seen before Angel.”
He looks up at your dry laughter, eyes raking over your tear stained face. You narrow your eyes as his hands move onto your wings, watching his face twist as he sees their state up close. You remove the wing from his hands, wincing with the effort it took. “You were my torturer.”
He grabs your wing again, “Let me now be your remedy, please” he begs.
You sigh, turning your wing back towards him. Giving him the permission he needs to continue his work. A sea of emotions keep your mind preoccupied and away from the pain.
After he was satisfied with the amount of bandages on you, Lucifer puts his hands on his hips, trying to lighten the mood with a smile. He clears his throat. “I guess you met Charlie, there’s some things to catch you up on,”
You interrupt before he can continue, “I know.” Lucifer looks at you a little shocked, silently imploring you to continue, “I was watching you, throughout the years. I um, I just wanted to know if you were safe? and if you could find happiness down there, or here I guess.” You rub your arm, uncertain if he would find this odd or comforting.
“Oh my little guardian angel, I still,” Lucifer hesitates, trying to find the appropriate word to say instead of what he wanted to say, “I still, admire you, always watching out for me.” His smile is softer now, an invisible weight gone yet it was evident to you that there was still an obvious heaviness that clung onto him. You yawn. He sighs. As much as Lucifer wants to talk to you, to explain his sins to you like your a priest in confession, he knows you need rest. “You should go back to sleep, even if only for a few minutes. You have to let your body adjust to the changes.”
You lean back against the pillows, “mhm okay.” You fall asleep almost instantly.
Lucifer stands from the bed, and with a flick of his wrist the now dried blood is gone from his suit. He stares at your frame for a moment longer.
“... As terrible as it is, I’m thankful I get to have you in my life again, even if it isn’t the same anymore.” With that quiet confession, Lucifer leaves the room, rolling his shoulders back and putting his bravado back on, going to the lobby to see Charlie.
Lucifer thought that the second he stepped into the lobby, Charlie was going to jump at him, demanding an explanation. Instead he found a Hell pine tree and the few sinners he had grown to recognize explaining something to a stary eyed Charlie. Once Charlie noticed her father, she did in fact jump at him, pulling him aside.
“So while you were seeing our new resident-you’re still explaining that to me by the way-” Charlie sat on the sofa, dragging her father down with her, “everyone else was explaining to me human Christmas!” Charlie drew in hands in a rainbow motion to emphasis the concept. “It sounds so cool and Vaggi said it wasn’t that different from Christmas in Heaven and seeing as you and our new angel resident definitely need to catch up, what if you two plan Christmas activities for the hotel! And we can work towards redemption AND celebrate Christmas!” Charlie looked at her father expectantly.
“Well honey, it’s a great idea, but I don’t know if she’d want to do that. Have you asked her?” Lucifer asked, slightly rhetorically.
“Well no! Buttttt what do you think? It’s a great opportunity to get to know her again!”
Lucifer sighed just as you walked in, a little better dressed and a little less wounded. He watched you go up to the people you hadn’t yet met, the bartender and the fluffy spider, their names escaping him in the moment. “If she’s okay with it, so am I.”
“YES! Thank you dad!” Charlie hugged her father before quickly rushing to your side, presumably to ask you if you’d want to create Christmas magic around the hotel. Your eyes drift to Lucifer, searching for his response, Lucifer nodded slightly still sitting on the couch. You turn to Charlie and with a single nod, Charlie’s running around the lobby.
“REAL Christmas HERE. I. COME. WOOOOOOOOO!”
She eventually loops back around to sit with Lucifer again. “You guys better start making plans soon. Oh I can’t wait!” Her eyes trained on everyone as they talk to you. Lucifer’s eyes however, are only on you, even after all this time, you stand out in a crowd, like a sunbeam in an abandoned building. You always had a way with people, everyone who met you loved you in a few days time, much to his chagrin.
“I’ll be sure to talk to her about it, but you know Charlie,” Lucifer started, not looking at his daughter, “You may as well quit all this redemption stuff.”
“WHAT? What- what do you mean quit? It literally works dad you saw Sir Pentious in Heaven! I can’t beli–”
His eyes stay trained on you, “Anything someone would want in Heaven is down here now. No point in going up there.” Lucifer gets up and comes up to you, whisking you away and back to bed, claiming A) you need more rest, you are still incredibly weak and B) he needed you to start planning ‘Real Christmas’ for everyone. You take the arm he offers you, mentally preparing for what you are sure is about to be one eventful Christmas.

Beams of Hell’s harsh morning light assaulted your closed eyes. The morning accentuated the dust in the air of the barely used room. The brightness wakes you up from the peaceful slumber you were having. Today was the day where you guys would be decorating the hotel for Christmas. This meant waking up as early as the sun so everything would be set up by the end of the day. There was a singular pine tree in the lobby of the hotel, without a base so it sat leaning against a wall. The one tree left a lot to be desired. Today was meant to be the day that changed but the warmth from your weighted blanket on your legs and waist were making it difficult to actually get up.
You bury your head into the pillow in hopes of blocking some of that morning light. Your hands found the back of your extremely warm pillow and pushed it into you more. A deep hum emulated from above you. Your weighted blanket and pillow moved slightly. You took your hand back from around the pillow to wipe the sleep from your eyes, the source of your comfort finally coming into focus as Lucifer stared at you pleasantly.
“Well good morning to you too.” Lucifer’s smile deepened as your eyes widened. The pale expanse of his chest just now registering in your mind. The weight you felt on your body was not in fact a blanket, you realise belatedly. Lucifer had tangled his legs with your own and had one arm wrapped tightly around your waist, bringing your bare bodies together.
“Lucifer!” His name sounded like an admonishment on your lips as you tried to pull away. His arm only tightened around you in response. His hand is heavy between your shoulder blades.
“Did you enjoy your present? I do hope I did good to satisfy your wish.” His eyes were lidded and his voice an octave or two lower than normal, giving away just how little time had passed between his waking and yours.
“It was alright I suppose.” If he wanted to play coy at six in the morning then so could you.
“Just alright? I guess I must try again until I reach your ever so high expectations Sunshine.” Lucifer leant forward and seized your lips in a kiss of a thousand promises, killing your response before it materialized.
The quiet drum of Alastor's daily announcements rang through the hotel, disturbing the oasis you had in Lucifer’s bed. You sign as the static continued to drone on, pushing Lucifer’s arm off of you so you could get up. Surprisingly, Lucifer put up no resistance to this attempt, instead he flipped to lay on his back to watch you.
You gasp as you take stock of the myriad of bruises that adorned your body; the bite marks that had scared overnight and the dried body fluid on your lower stomach. Your head filled with searing hot embarrassment, the evidence of your night obvious regardless of what you decided to wear for the day. You twist around to Lucifer reviewing his handy work.
“Pretty good huh?” He had not one care in the world while looking at your well loved figure.
“And what prey tell, do we say to Charlie when she asks?” You lift a brow at him. Disapproval evident on your face.
It’s only with that question does Lucifer see the issue with the marks along you. “A long sleeve?” He tries to offer.
You scoff at his half baked attempt to help you. You stand, intent on finding something to wear to at least get back to your own room, thankful the walk wasn’t long. As your leg lifts to step forward, you hip tightens. The muscles in your legs and butt sore from the overuse. Your stride much clunkier with the constricted joints. You hear a breathy laugh resonate from behind you.
“Just alright hm?”
“Yes.” you replied staunchly, but there was no real conviction.
As you continued to move around Lucifer’s penthouse, the more your body relaxed, the easier it became to walk without a limp. Finally, after a good half hour, you were dressed in the garments you had entered into his room the night before. In that same time, Lucifer had sat up and ran a cursory hand through his hair, little effort in styling it, his eyes and mind were much happier to watch and think of you, then his own needs.
Your arms formed a semi circle as you stretched. “I’ll see you in the lobby? I’ll have some coffee prepared for us when you finally get down there.”
Lucifer’s next words confused you a little. “You’re a great friend Sunshine.”
“...yeah?” The sentence felt rough against your actions mere hours ago, hell even in the time you had been awake felt wrong when matched with his phrase. You turned to leave, intent on leaving the feeling there, but Lucifer spoke again as you turned.
“I- I” He stuttered as you looked back at him hopeful, for what, your mind couldn’t tell you but your heart needed something from him. “I really appreciate you.” You nod slowly as the words sink in, turning back to the door. Heart heavy with the lack of what you wanted him to say.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
You and Charlie sat in a corner of the lobby, slowly untangling yards of garland. The cranberry and popcorn delicate as you untangle it. Charlie more forcefully tore through the string of fake evergreen in her hands.
“Sooooo,” Charlie tried again to learn about you and Lucifer, Christmas was fast approaching and her resolve was diminishing. It felt like there was no forward progress between you two. You would have a moment with him and then revert back to acting like you just met him. You guys kissed, and then nothing, you stayed at his place, and then nothing, you slept in his room and still nothing. This was driving Charlie up the wall and it was starting to show through the unnecessary force she used to decorate and slightly mad look in her eye. “What’d ya do last night?”
“Hm? Oh nothing you know, it was just good to go and catch up with him.” You would have told Charlie a better synopsis if Lucifer’s words weren’t ringing in your head still. ‘Friend’, ‘I appreciate you.’ His inability to all of a sudden say love was haunting. Sure, when taken by itself the two things aren’t crazy, he hasn’t officially asked you out since he officially called you a friend and so he doesn't want to say a heavy word like ‘love’. The issue though, was this wasn’t in a vacuum. Everyone, especially Charlie spoke so much of Lilith and how Lucifer loved Lilith, that you felt like it was a sign from God. The way Lucifer had said so many nights ago that some things should remain in the past. Did he only love you in the past? Could he no longer? Was his heart forever owned by Lilith?
“Right!” Charlie exclaimed, hands pulling on the garland. “Have you ever thought of singing him a song?” Charlie and you stood you, now with tangle free garland, to go and start hanging them up. “What about,” Charlie followed you, “growing your hair out?”
“Do you like apples? How about snakes?”
“Did falling from Heaven give you horns, you should wear them more!”
“Hey! How do you feel about leadership roles, especially ones that inspire sinners?”
Each of Charlie’s questions were painfully and obviously things that Lilith did. Your heart sank as Lucifer’s own daughter tried to mold you into fitting into the Lilith shaped hole in the Morningstar’s lives. The sting in your chest grew colder with each comparison. Her last question however, was what stuck the stake in your bleeding heart.
“You haven’t done anything crazy right? Nothing, nothing too sinner-y right?”
Was I right the first time? Can he not love me now that I am not pure? Regardless of the pain in your body, you didn’t want to yell at Charlie. You closed your eyes as you halted your circle around the room, the last two feet of garland slipped from your hands as you turned to the girl. You could see in her eyes how distraught your lack of well, whatever she wanted between you and Lucifer to be going on, was making her. You placed a hand on her shoulder, focusing on your breath instead of your heart as it dripped to the bottom of your soul.
“I don’t think I’m feeling well honey, I’m going to lay down for a bit. Text me if it’s urgent.” Your voice was so unnervingly steady it broke Charlie out of her trance. The questions she just asked you hitting her. Before she could apologize for the crass way she spoke, you had pivoted on your heel and walked away. Pace brisk as you fought for your sanity. Charlie looked down at her hands as you walked away. A pit formed in her. Maybe this isn’t the best way to make Christmas special.
Vaggi came up to Charlie as you left. “What was that about?”
Both girls watched as you passed Lucifer without even a glance in his directions. His greeting dying on his lips as turned to watch you go. “I think… I think I might have just ruined Christmas.”
Lucifer’s brow furrowed, hurt by you ignoring him. A worry for you building in him with each step you took.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
You paced around your room on the verge of tears, stupid, stupid seraphim. Why would you listen to a SINNER about LOVE. Your hands tangled themselves in your hair as your eyeliner started to melt down your reddening face.
The minute you had reached your room you broke apart. Your bedroom was bathed in darkness as you ignored the light switch. With everyone in the lobby decorating, there was no sound to distract you. You crumpled against the bedpost. Hands dung into the wood in a vein attempt to keep you up. This was the first time since arriving in Hell did it really hit you. Sure, you talked about it here or there with some of the others but now, it was settling on your shoulders. The rock you’d been pushing up the mountain finally settled its weight on you.
You were in Hell.
There was no goodness down here.
And there definitely was no love.
You wasted paradise for what? One chance to speak your mind. Now look at you. All that for a man who has no room in his heart anymore?
Your spiral continued, the thoughts in your head that were once backed by evidence and experiences were replaced with nonsensical beliefs. The transition so smooth you had no awareness it happened. You weren’t just upset as you threw a lamp across the room. Your wings sprouted from your back as you heaved. Brain scattered with scenes of heartbreak. How many of Lucifer’s reactions did I misinterpret? Every kiss and look from the Devil morphed into a moment of hatred. He didn’t love you, he didn’t want to now. Not after you broke the only covenant you still had. You fell against the hardwood floors. The cool did nothing to ease you as you continued to sob.
A disastrous thought came into your head as you cried. All I have to do is become holy again. If you were holy, then this pain would go away and no one would ask you to be someone you weren’t. This was an easy fix. You stood with great effort, dragging yourself in silence to your dresser. You kept that robe you fell from Heaven in. The white silk was stained and ripped. You threw your shoes off. You yanked your hair into the braids that Heaven adored. You lit the candles in your room with a wave of your still shaking hand. You sat in the middle of the room. Deep breath in, deep breath out.
You spoke the prayers you were taught, every word an ask for repentance. You rocked yourself back and forth as your words became more and more slurred. The need for this to work outweighing every other emotion.
When there was no glow, when you felt the same, you cried some more. Your wings curled around you in an attempt to bring yourself comfort. Something passed through your mind as you saw the litany of grey feathers.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
It had been two hours and you had yet to come back. Lucifer kept an eye peeled the entire time, you weren’t yourself when you had left and it was setting something off in his mind. He had never seen you look like that before. Charlie, Lucifer also picked up on, wasn’t doing great. He decided to check on his daughter first.
“Heyyy sweetie. Is everything okay over here?” Lucifer put a hand on Charlie’s back as she hung ornaments in the most solemn way a person could. He’d laugh if everything didn’t feel so serious.
“I..um…Dad Ifuckeduplikereallybadfuckedup.” The words rushed out of her before she could stop them.
Lucifer was starting to become more worried. “How so?”
Charlie sighed. This was it. This is where she had to come clean. “I may or may not have really wanted Christmas to be perfect, you know since it’s been a while since we’ve had one. And for that I thought that you and her should be together. SO I’ve been trying to get you guys together. Nothing was working though and it’s almost Christmas, SO I may or may not have meddled a little too much. And I’ve been comparing her to-to mom.” She looked at her father, waiting for his response. “What do I do?”
“You, sweetheart,” Lucifer had a million thoughts in his head. “You keep making this hotel look pretty.” He rested his hands on his daughters cheeks, squishing them slightly. “I will go check on Sunshine and then after all is said and done, you can apologize. How does that sound?”
“Okay.” Charlie looked back to the tree. She trusted her dad to make things right. He was good at that he was her dad. In the end, Lucifer always knew what to do.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
You were gone to the rational world as you ripped grey feathers out of your wings. Your screams loud enough that Lucifer heard them down the hall as he ventured to check on you. He ran as fast as he could to get to you. When he opened the door he almost started sobbing. The light from the hallway illuminated your figure, as well as the handful of feathers that you just ripped out laying on the hardwood. Lucifer saw you knelt on the ground with your hands raised together. Your back was ramrod straight and legs behind you in a perfect 90 degrees. Wet trails traced along your face and he saw the dark splotches on your dress from where they landed. Gold blood stained your wing from where you had clawed at it. You looked an absolute mess as you murmured another ‘our father’ to yourself.
“Oh, honey,” Lucifer breathed. Heart broken at the sight of you. His gorgeous girl so beaten, and from what?
You turned to Lucifer, eyes brimming with a new set of tears as he caught you. “I’m sorry.” Your voice pitched as he walked up to you.
“For what sweetheart, for what?”
The damn broke for a second time as he knelt beside you.
“You don’t love me! And I’m not Lilith! And I can never go back to Heaven where I belong. I’m trying and I can’t” You sobbed into Lucifer’s shoulder when he grabbed hold of you. “I’m-I’m truly a demon!”
“No honey you aren’t a demon. I promise you that. If you were, it would be my fault anyway. I’ve taken you with me every step of the way.” You violently pulled away from him.
“And the rest?” Your shout was anything but intimidating as you continued to cry. I should have kept us locked in my room today. Lucifer thought bitterly as the pain you were in was starting to hurt him.
“You aren’t Lilith no,” He started carefully. “That doesn’t mean anything though, not to me. She’s not here. I don’t love her. I know Charlie is always going to love her to some extent but me? There is no place in my heart for her anymore. She lost me when she left us.”
“You said some things were better left in the past, do you not want to love me anymore now that I’m here?” Your tears were less frequent but your questions continued.
“I don’t not want to love you Plum. And It’s not that you're down here, it’s just that so much had passed we couldn’t love each other the same because we didn’t even know each other anymore. I still love you, so ardently I love you Sunshine. I love you so much I wanted us to happen again so I forced us to go slow.”
You shoved your face into Lucifer’s chest, wrapping your arms around him, needing an anchor with your sea of emotions. “Stop loving me so much, it screws everything up.”
Lucifer laughed, he really did have a knack for that huh? He leaned back so you were laying on top of him on your floor. The light from the hallway being the only thing allowing you to see each other.
“Why didn’t you say you loved me this morning?” It felt silly to ask but you needed to. Lucifer thankfully entertained you.
“I didn’t know if that’s where we were yet. Love is a big thing.”
“I love you Lucifer Morningstar, I always will.”
Lucifer kissed the crown of your head. That solves that then. “And I you, Sunshine.”
It was a few moments before you both decided to stand up. Your panic had subsided enough for you to get back on with the day.
Lucifer looked at you as you took off the old robe and put your shoes back on. “So, I guess we aren’t just friends anymore?” Lucifer opened a portal to just outside of the lobby, the gold magic swirling softly.
“Lovers?” You asked him as you stepped through the portal.
“Lovers. You’re mine and mine alone for a second time Sunshine.”
Lucifer rested his hand on your waist once he walked through the portal. It closing immediately after. You two stood under the arch to the main lobby, everyone else had done an amazing job decorating the place. It really felt like Christmas with the string lights on the ceiling, the garlands swooping from wall to wall. The wreath on the front doors and a fully decorated Christmas tree in the one corner. Mistletoe, and we’ll never know who set it there, hung above the entrance you and Lucifer were under. You rested your head on Lucifer’s shoulder, the haze had finally cleared and you were finally where you belonged, in Lucifer's arms.
Lucifer nudged you when he spotted the sprig, eyes going between you and it.
“May I get a kiss angel?”
“Say you love me first.” You bargained, wanting to hear the words fall from his lips.
“Forevermore and always Sunshine, I’ll love you regardless of it all.”
You pulled him down by his collar, satisfied with his answer. With his lips against yours, you knew Christmas would be alright, you had your Lucifer by your side again.

It was five in the morning when you shuffled into one of Lucifer’s private limos. The wine had left your system a few hours ago, but you hair however was mused and stuck out in different directions. You threw your heels in the car before you. Once you got in the car, you laid back against the soft cream coloured cushions, breathing out as the car lurched slightly, taking you back to the hotel. As you arrive, you pray silently that no one is in the hotel lobby. Your appearance told a story of falsities. You and Lucifer spent the night dancing and talking about…well anything. Which was nice, it felt like you knew the man that sent you off in the limo. You didn’t spend the night with him in the way that you know Angel think. Despite falling from Heaven, the rules they imposed on you were still running deep in your blood. It felt wrong to spend the night with him. You definitely wouldn’t have minded, nor would have Lucifer. The lingering touches and feather light kisses on your temple all night long told you that much.
You stumbled into the hotel, your dress dragging on the ground slightly now that you abandoned your heels in Lucifer’s car. He can think of it as a parting gift for being such a great conversationalist. Angel’s head popped into view from behind the couch. His eyes bleary from just waking up.
“Oh ho hooooo! Look at you! Big daddy’s stroke game that good huh?” He sat up straighter, now fully awake and every eye of his inspecting you. You blush at his frank words. His smile told you that you weren’t going to get out of this. Your hands fidget as you closed the distance, this conversation was going to, most likely, be mortifying and you didn’t need it broadcasted to the whole hotel. You sat down near Angel, dress pooling around you, thankful that there was only him in the lobby.
“Wellllll get talkin pretty baby!”
“We didn’t! Not-not even close. I-I don’t know if we’re ready…he kissed me again! On the temple too but no no doing that, that would have been…wrong.” You stammered.
Angel’s mouth twisted up to the left, processing your words. “Why da think it’s wrong? If y'all were both okay with it.”
You cringed, you had figured out what Angel’s line of work was a day or two ago. A breath of air spills from your lips, “Heaven…”
“Oh toots, they really mess with ya feelings up there?”
You just look at him, not knowing how to proceed with the sudden heart to heart.
“Listen,” Angel turned his body to face you more, “It ain’t wrong for you to have sex without a ring on. You aren’t dirty and he won’t love you less for it.”
“If it makes you feel any better, what’s God gonna do? You’re already in hell. We all suck down here, join us. It can be fun sometimes.” Angel concedes.
You sat in his words. Adjusting to Hell had been easy at times, but it could also be so difficult. This was one of those hard things. With the bubbling emotions that Lucifer stirred in you, you had convinced yourself that you were still vitreous. That regardless of all the change, you were still holy. As long as you didn’t forfeit this one thing. If you could keep your virginity until a wedding then you’d be saved. The reality was much harsher than that. You were damned to hell the minute you spoke up.
There was no redemption.
There was no saving you.
There was nothing holy about you anymore.
Holding onto this rule did nothing for you.
You finally look at Angel in the eyes, swallowing the truth, “I think you’re right.” You whisper. You look down to your hands, gears in your mind whirling as you smile slowly. You felt okay. You felt the weight that sat on your hips and your heart lift. You could laugh again. You could be you again without fear of judgement. “You’re right, Angel Dust. There’s nothing else to hurt me. Thank you! Oh! You’re an angel!” You laugh at your words as you sped off to your room. You were free! Oh thank you Lucifer. Thank you for the freedom.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
You texted Charlie before you fell asleep, telling her the plan for today was letters to Santa and that neither you or Lucifer were going to be up early. ‘Knock yourself out Charlotte.’ You told her.
When you finally walked down to the lobby you realized that the girl took those words literally. There was a whiteboard with pictures and red string attached explaining the ‘lore of Santa Claus’, magazines were spread out in a 5 foot radius, everything from glue sticks to decorative edge scissors were out for residents to use. Lucifer wasn’t kidding when he said that Charlie really loved writing letters to Santa.
“Oh there you are!” Charlie bound over to you with all the excitement of a little girl. “My dad just got here too! I want you to come with me, I have to ask him something.” You recognized that glint in Charlie’s eye. There was some mischief afoot.
“Dad! Dad!” Charlie called out to her father, “I have a request to make this Christmas special!”
Lucifer turned to look at his two girls, “What is it sweetheart?” He’d do anything for his daughter.
“Can you dress up as Santa for us and read our letters?! Like when I was little?”
Lucifer regretted that anything right now. “Aren’t you, well aren’t we all a little too um too old for that Char-Char? I think we uh get the point! No need for some silly costume.” The golden blush on his cheeks told you just how embarrassing it was for the King of Hell to be caught having been that soft in the past, even if it was for his daughter.
“Nope!” Charlie replied simply.
“She’s right Luci, we are never too old for some Christmas cheer.”
Lucifer melted at the nickname you used. Lucifer relented, “I’ll go back home and find the costume.”
Charlie clapped her hands before turning to everyone, who were, admittedly much less excited about writing letters than she was, “Grab your magazines and head up to your room! These only work if you and Santa are the only ones who know what's on the list.”
The group shuffled some more, picking up magazines and heading back to their rooms.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
It was a little while later before anyone disturbed you. You were currently languidly flipping through a magazine from Vee Tower. Your conversation with Angel this morning had stuck in your head so you decided exposure therapy was your best bet. To your credit, it was working a little, you were getting less flustered with each new thing and there was a piece here or there that you actually liked. You circled the pieces just for the fun of it, it wasn’t like anyone was going to see it. You had just drawn a circle around another set of lacey lingerie when you heard a knock at your door. You got up, leaving the magazine open to the page.
Lucifer stood on the other side of the door, fiddling with a pair of suspenders. It turns out the version of Santa that Lucifer told Charlie was a little different than the mortal mythos. Lucifer had his signature black boots on, olive green pants tucked into them, as well as a cream button up shirt. Hanging out of the bag in his arm, you could see a christmas print jacket, fur adorned the sleeves, collar and hem of it. There was a hat as far you could tell and a pair of fake glasses. You giggled at his get up. Finding humor in the outfit while also enjoying the way the clothes fit. Maybe that magazine had more than one effect on me.
“HI Sunshine!” Lucifer’s voice was loud and embarrassed, yellow coloured his face. “I uh haven’t put this on in a while and it’s not fitting quite like it used to. Help an old man out?”
You stepped aside letting him into your room. Lucifer walked towards the small sitting area to the left of the door. Throwing the bag on one of the velvet chairs.
“Thank you,” He smiled sheepishly, the expression foreign on his face. He hands you the suspenders as you walked around him.
Lucifer’s eyes travel around your room, observing the changes you made to the space since your health had returned. As you fiddled with the slightly rusted over clasp on the suspenders, Lucifer made eye contact with the magazine on your bed, still face up from your browsing it. Lucifer also saw the bright red marker that contracted with the blue of the spread. For as reclused as Lucifer was, even he knew what a sex magazine from that moth overload looked like. Lucifer felt his whole body tense at the implications that brought as you threw the suspenders over his shoulders.
You walked back around him, deciding that you would tease him a little, he’s been much too cocky these last few days, you reasoned in your own mind. You dragged your hands down his chest with the lightest touch imaginable. You lowered to kneel in front of him, grabbing the suspenders to snap them to his pants. You watched in satisfaction as his Adam apple bobbed with great force. You hummed as you fastened the object before turning around to grab the coat. Lucifer tried to avoid your eyes as you slipped the coat onto him, he tries even harder to not let his thoughts get to him. In the end, he failed both tasks as you gently place the hat on his head, making eye contact as he felt his body react to you. With how close you were, you felt it too, giggling as you turned around to grab the glasses.
Lucifer snatched them out of your hands before you could cause more debauchery. He thanked you for your help and turned to leave, body stiff as a board. As Lucifer passed you though, he decided to take some frustration out on you, a loud *smack* resounded in the room as his clawed hand made contact with your ass. The devil didn’t turn around as you scoffed, pretending to be offended and not turned on as he left.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
Before Lucifer could come down to the lobby to hear what everyone wanted, he had a little-well big problem that he had to deal with. Once he was finished with that though, reading everyone's letters went relatively smoothly. For as bad as Lucifer was with names, he could remember what people wanted. He took extra care in this moment to remember everything everyone wanted for Charlie. You were the last on his list on ‘nice’ people, though your actions today proved to him that you should have been on the ‘naughty’ list. You sat on Lucifer’s lap, instead of beside him like everyone had done, bar for Charlie for being his daughter. You sat much farther back than Charlie had though, your back meddling nicely with his chest.
You handed Lucifer your letter, you had made some adjustments we’ll say to the list after your little interaction. When he opened the folded sheet of paper, Lucifer tried his best to school his expression. All that was written on the paper in your handwriting was the simple phrase ‘I want you to fuck me. One orgasm for every year we were apart.’ Your lipstick stained the bottom right corner in Lou of a signature. Lucifer cleared his throat.
“What a thoughtful ask! I think I could even do this one tonight.”
“Lucky!” Angel and Charlie cried for two very different reasons. Angel could see the look in Lucifer’s eye and knew what he was referring to. Charlie just wanted an early present.
The group dispersed after all the letters were read by Lucif-Santa. You however, stayed rooted on Lucifer’s lap, talking animatedly about what ever you could think of. Eventually, you pulled his glasses off of his face.
“No one asked you huh Luci? What do you want for Christmas?” You batted your eyelashes at him innocently. He grabbed your thigh with his tail, the tip coming to poke you where you were sensitive.
He whispered to you, voice gruff and ladened with desire for you, “I want,” He started with much force, “for you to be on my blond south.” He squeezed you harder.
“Well then Your Royal Majesty, I’ll see you in your chambers to give you your present.”
With that, you got up and walked away, an extra sway in your hips as you went.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
Lucifer stumbled into his bedroom, mind clouded with lust. He ripped his coat and boots off as soon as he got into his suite. He hadn’t yet seen you, but you knew as soon as he did it was over for the both of you. Honestly you were kind of thankful you weren’t yet the sole keeper of Lucifer’s attention. Your heart was beating out of your chest, you did your best to appear calm and sultry for him.
When Lucifer looked up, he finally did see you. You were leaned on the chaise next to the lit fireplace. You had wrapped yourself in a thick red ribbon. Nothing else adorned your figure. The ends of the ribbon were tied together right at the apex of your thighs. You could feel that slick honey stick to your inner thighs as you took stock of the man before you. Your gaze unwavering as Lucifer undid his belt, as he fell to his knees and crawled towards you. A man left starved for much too long.
“Do you know, how long I’ve waited for this? How I’ve pleaded to the air for you whilst I fisted my own cock? Do you know what you did to me when you were trapped in my mind? Now here you are, more cruel than any human ever imagined me as.”
Lucifer’s hands found your legs, his claws scarring you as he went up, and up and his hand grabbed hold of the end of the bow. He made eye contact with you as his voice took on a soft tone, “Are you sure this is what you want to do?”
“Yes. More than anything, yes Lucifer. I need this, you.”
Lucifer yanked his hand on the ribbon, slowly the ribbon revealed you in whole. You sat back on your hands as Lucifer marvelled at your body. His hungry eyes took every part of you in. Every crease and fold and large expanse of skin.
“You are my Heaven.” He lifted your foot to his mouth, pressing hot open mouth kisses all the way up to your cunt. He switched to your other leg, kissing his way down it. When Lucifer reached the bottom, he spread your legs wide as he leant forward. His broad shoulders kept you spread eagle as your face burned. Lucifer leant down, inhaling the scent of your arousal before he placed a feather light kiss on your clit. You gasped as your hands clenched in the fabric of the chair. He moved your hands to his hair as he went back to kiss you again, before he moved his attention to your hole. He looked at it, then up at you and then shoved his tongue into you with no warning. Your back arched as your hands tighten in his locks of gold. You moaned as Lucifer licked you, his tongue would transition from fast swipes against your clit to pistoning deep inside you. He searched for that one spot and then kept his tongue there when you screamed.
“Lucifer, oh god! AH! Please, please oh please” You begged as your nails stabbed into his skull. Your legs threatening to close around his head as he continued without a care to come up and breathe. Lucifer was happiest between your legs. You were as sweet as he imagined and the pulse of your impending release on his tongue only spurred him on. A particularly hard tug at his hair caused him to moan into you. The vibrations of it violently yanking you over the edge he’d been teetering you on for the last hour. Sweat poured down your body as you came. More of that sweet liquid that Lucifer craved came rushing out of you. He lapped it like a dog just come in from a run.
You collapsed back onto the chaise, body spent.
Lucifer popped up from between your legs, happy as a clam. “And on a scale from 1 to 10?”
“Oh fuck you Lucifer.”
“Well if my lady doth insist, I will let her.” Lucifer grabbed you under your knees and behind your back, carrying you bridal style to his large circular bed. He set you down gently in the middle as he stripped himself. He watched as your breasts moved with every breath as you recovered from the earth shattering orgasm. Soon enough, Lucifer crawled between your legs, his fingers swiping some of your leftover cum to spread over his cock. “This might hurt,” He warned you as he became face to face with you. Your half lidded eyes looked down at his cock instead of his face. It pulsed slightly and the tip was the same bright red that dotted the apple of his cheeks. The thing shone with your cum slathered on it.
“I don’t care if it hurts if I get to experience that sensation again.”
Lucifer laughed as he sunk into you slowly. It felt like coming home. Like for the first time in a long time, he was exactly where he was supposed to be. The moan he let fall from his lips wavered as he pulled out again. The pain he spoke of was not there, in it’s place was a fire that demanded to be fed. You used your heel to push Lucifer in again, feeding that fire. He took the hint and sped his movements up. Neither of you could form words, the most coherent thing either of you muttered were each other names. The bed rocked with the force of Lucifer’s hips. The loud slap of skin on skin filled the room. The wards in Lucifer’s room killing the sound before it could make it past the walls.
As you neared your second orgasm, Lucifer hooked one of your feet under his arm, pushing your knee to your ear. You extended that leg so one foot was on the headboard. Your other still sprawled out of the mattress. The new position allowed Lucifer to hit a spot deeper in you, causing that second moment of bliss to wash over you. Lucifer leant down to capture your tongue. Your moans falling into his mouth. He moved on to your neck, harsh kisses covered you, he was careful enough to not leave any bruises. He wasn’t carful enough however to not bite you when you squeezed your cunt around him. Gold blood squirted into his mouth.
It was no shock that Lucifer had been corrupted by Hell even if it wasn’t always present. But in this moment, with him buried to the hilt in you and your blood on his tongue, you were reminded of his corruption as his pace sped up a second time, the metallic taste causing his release. Lucifer ground into you as he came. The hot white liquid spilling deep into you. Your eyes rolled back at the sensation, happiness bloomed in your chest at the proof you were good to him. Lucifer calmed his thrusts into your cunt as he let go of your leg, you took deep breaths as you fixed his hair from all your tugging.
There was a wet *plop* as he pulled out of you. Lucifer fell unceremoniously beside you, absolutely weak from his performance. You reached down and grabbed lucifer’s hand, kissing it before you flipped over on to one side, one hand waving as your hoarse voice spoke, “Tap me on the shoulder when you reload the gun.”

Charlie sipped at a glass of apple juice while sitting at the bar. Husk wiped down the counter. Lucifer spun a rubber duck around on his finger, balancing it, one foot raised up and resting on the stool he sat on. You had a glass of water in front of you. All of you were listening to Angel as he described the night he had the night before at Valentino’s party.
“I’m telling yall! It was crazy, he did 3 shots of that thing!” Angel ran a hand through his hair, mascara smudged and glitter mini dress wrinkled from sleeping in it.
“You know,” you twirled the straw in your glass around, “Lucifer and I were thinking about throwing a party.” Lucifer tried to stifle his smile, for this little prank to work, he needed to stonewall everyone.
The thing about parties in heaven is that they were boring. When reminiscing on the events with him, you both decided this was going to be a generational trauma. This party of yours, was going to go by the rules of Heaven, at least for a little bit.
“REALLY?” Charlie slammed her hands on the bar counter. The girl was completely shocked that her father would even consider a party. She remembered maybe one from her youth but never again after that. She liked the idea nonetheless, her lack of experience with them, not deterring her joy. A party would have alcohol and that would lower both your walls and you and her father would be one step closer to getting together. “We could have a party?” She asked you, a little quieter.
“I think so, I just don’t have a dress to wear but we were playing with the idea.”
“Oh toots! We’ll take you to get one.” Angel threw an arm around Charlie as he spoke.
“I’m sure Vaggi would want to go as well.” Charlie grabbed her phone, already texting her girlfriend the question.
“I’m sure we can find just the thing to make you look as delicious as a shiny red apple.” Angel raised a brow as he leaned towards you. The comparison to Lucifer’s favourite fruit not lost on you.
Lucifer stood up, brushing invisible dust off of his pants. “I’ll go and clean up the manor if we’re doing this tonight. I don’t believe that it’ll take long, there’s just some dust in the ballroom. I’ll have to call that band though,” Lucifer transitioned from talking to all of you, to talking to himself as he ran through the list of what needed to be done. Charlie’s shock doubled.
“We’re having a party AT HOME?” She genuinely couldn’t believe it, her father, who famously hated people in his space, was opening his home to sinners?
“Char-Char, we used to throw parties at home all the time?”
“The Morningstar Manor used to open to sinners?” Angel asked, almost just as shocked as Charlie.
“Well, parts of it,” Lucifer fiddled with his hat out of habit. “Lilith felt it would gain us brownie points with sinners. It used to happen monthly before…” He trailed off, heart falling at the truth. Before my marriage fell apart.
Charlie awkwardly changed the subject, “while you’re cleaning up the house, we’ll go out and get some dresses, k dad?” She didn’t really know how to help here, this was Lucifer’s idea but it looked like it hurt.
Lucifer recovered quickly, “That’s a great idea sugar-plum! I’ll meet you all back here to pick you up with a limo, make this night special.” He left with that signature flourish of hellfire.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
The shopping centres in Hell were not as different from Heaven as you first thought. Your entourage had taken you to supposedly the best mall in the Pride Ring. The place had pale tile floors, most of the store fronts had flashing neon lights, every sign in the windows had an insane markup on products or were covered in expletives. Every other store had barely there lingerie and sex toys as their only products. Charlie promised as your face turned another shade of red that the whole building wasn’t like this, ‘just the first mile of the store.’ Malls were also much bigger down here. You learnt just how big they were as your feet started to hurt before you even entered a single store.
Finally, you had made it to the place that Charlie wanted to look in. The store was significantly cleaner looking then the rest of the mall. The muntin windows reached floor to ceiling. Large plants sat in clay vases just inside the glass doors. You could see gorgeous gown after gorgeous gown in the displays. Each one glittery and obviously hand crafted. The place looked out of place in the mall. As you walked in, you understood why this place was so clean, Lucifer owned it. The pictures of him modeling shirt after pants after jewelry piece covered the first floor. Charlie had continued to drag you up the escalator to the second floor with women’s clothing. Your heart lurched as you took in this floor. Lucifer had been replaced with Lilith, her tall curvy figure made every dress look droppingly good. You knew in your heart of hearts that you weren’t bad looking, it was just difficult to not compare yourself and Lucifer’s ex wife. Between the two of you, she was the one who got the wedding, not you. You subtly shook your shoulders as your group split off to find an outfit. There ain’t nothing I can do about her, he don’t even love her anymore. The absolutely stunning outfits made it easy for you to forget the thoughts of self-comparison.
Angel, Vaggi, Charlie, and you reconveened with each other in the dressing rooms after an hour of exploring the store. You had found two dresses that you thought would flatter you, Vaggi and Charlie each had six for you, and Angel had 3 in each hand. You tied your hair up and took the first batch to a change room. The three went to grab a chair to sit in while they waited to see each option. The first 22 you had tried on were not what you were looking for. They either felt too conservative or gave too much away, no imagination needed. This left the final four. One dress from each of you.
Charlie’s option was a long black velvet dress, the neckline was plunging and the cups came up into a point. The skirt of the dress hugged your hips, flaring at the bottom slightly. It was classy, you liked it.
Vaggi’s option was champagne in colour. The top part of the dress was tule and was off the shoulder. The skirt was came out immediately. The dress would need a petticoat or two for the fit to be right. It ended mid calf. It wasn’t the worst thing in the world but the colour made you pause, scared to stain such a nice garment.
You weren’t totally convinced that the skirt of the dress Angel gave you wasn’t see through. The whole dress was beaded with impossibly small white crystals. The dress was strapless and had a sweetheart neckline. The bodice of it wouldn’t cling to you but at the same time it was not loose. The dress had a long train and a slit up the side.
The dress you liked the best however was the one you chose. The dress was a deep teal colour, a rose pattern subtly and sporadically painted the fabric. It was fitted at the waist and flared out, just barely skimming the ground if you wore heels. The sleeves were long but the neckline was asymmetrical. One side of the neckline came right up against your neck and the other sat on your arm past your shoulder. It absorbed light and with it went everyone’s attention as you walked out. The three could tell even from their chairs that any man in a white top hat would want to re-propose to you in an instant.
Charlie came up to your dressing room, asking for the three dresses they would need to return. You handed them over, happy that you found something that made you feel like you.
Vaggi spoke in a hushed tone to Angel as Charlie went to return the dresses, adamant in wanting to put them away herself, leaving the workers a little useless.
“Pst, Angel”
“Huh what?” Angel lowered his voice to match Vaggi’s conspirital tone.
“Did you notice anything about all the dresses that Charlie chose?”
Angel had noticed something, every dress that Charlie grabbed looked like they had come straight out of Lilith’s closet. He told her as much, joking that you were a replacement.
You had overheard their conversation, they were not as quiet as they had thought. Dizzy as you got out of the dress, all that joy suddenly gone.
You heard Vaggi speak again, “She’s talked about wanting to get them to fall in love.”
“So she thinks dressing Feathers up like her mom is the way to do that?”
“I mean the style worked the first time.”
You stopped listening just as you had stopped breathing. Angel’s earlier words starting to haunt you. ‘I’m sure we can find just the thing to make you look as delicious as a shiny red apple.’ Charlie thought that for her dad to find you attractive, you had to look like lilith? Oh god. Maybe he still does love her.
Charlie knocked on your door. “Are you okay? Do you need help with the buttons?”
You put your clothes back on, practicing deep breaths in hopes to rid the red that definitely coloured your face. “I’m coming!”
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
You had spent the rest of the day getting ready, pushing that insecurity down, less than 24 hours ago, Lucifer was between your thighs, ready to bust from just looking at you. He’s kissed you for God’s sake! You needed to let it go, it was nothing more than insecurity, a dumb one at that.
Just as Lucifer promised, a sleek white limo sat outside the hotel. You, Angel, Husk, Charlie, Vaggi, Alastor, and Nifty stood at the front doors.
You lifted your hands to your ears, “Oh my! I forgot my earrings, you guys go! I’ll meet you all there. I know my way.”
“Don’t bail on us Feathers! You look too good for that!” Angel called as he climbed into the limo.
You rushed upstairs to your room. Black heels puncturing the ground as you ran.
You fiddled with that last earring, always stubborn when it was most inconvenient. Just as you got it in, a knock came from your door. You knew it was Lucifer. Your heart jumped into your throat. You flattened the wrinkles in the dress, smoothing those little flyaways in your hair as you went to open the door.
Lucifer couldn’t think of a single word to describe just how stunning you were. You looked like the best parts of Heaven.
You were thinking the exact same thing about him as he was thinking about you.
Lucifer had ditched the normal white suit, opting instead, for the darkest shade of black. He wore perfectly polished dress shoes, a tailored pair of dress pants that were just the right amount of tight around his hips and thighs. Those expanse of muscles obvious under the taut fabric. His dress shirt and vest were the same blood red of his wings. Wings that you had just noticed, all six tucked back, not a feather out of place. His suit jacket was also black, and was tailored to his wide shoulders and impossible small waist. Gold hardware decorated both the jacket and waistcoat. A red sash cut him from right shoulder to left hip. His signature top hat was even ditched, in its place sat a tall crown. A cape connected by a gold chain sat on his shoulders. Lucifer was the King of Hell, and dear God did he wear it well. The man in front of you was no angel, he was the gorgeous temptor of fate, who took your soul in exchange for momentary mortal bliss.
“Don’t you just look ravishing.” The grit in Lucifer causing the butterflies in your stomach to fly even lower. Each word was punctuated with a step toward you. Once he got close enough, Lucifer swept down to bow, the cape he wore brushing the ground as he bent. He took your hand and kissed your knuckles. A hundred compliments spoken in the one action.
“Come, we have a party to throw, my plum.”
A portal opened behind Lucifer, Stepping through with you on his arm.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
Angel couldn’t help but let his jaw drop to the floor. “What do you mean you can’t talk to each other at a party? Weren’t yall engaged to be married?”
You laughed, hands skimming your skirt. “They had rules to follow and they were enforced in times of togetherness. We were never that big of fans of it.”
You and Lucifer had gone all out planning this party, doing your best to recreate what Heaven parties were like. There were a few balloons around, but not too many.
Husk looked at you, taken back by the lack of…stimulation. Charlie asked you as she scowled at the sad decorations, “what couldn’t you do at these ‘parties’?”
“Well, there’s no food or drink. That was strictly forbidden. You would have years of Sunday school if you dared to even mention alcohol. You were not allowed to speak to anyone of the opposite sex. There was to be no chance for temptation. All robes were to be pressed, not a single feather out of form. The elders did like it if you laughed too loud or spoke too much.”
Lucifer looked much too happy to be inflicting this pain on these sinners. “They said we were to be reverent of our creation and that reflection was key.”
Alastair didn’t find this too bad, people had strict social rules to follow and no one could step out of line? Sign him up! “What kind of music did they play?” He asked you, eyeing the band that had yet to actually play anything. Charlie looked happy that he was participating.
“Oh we had no music, it was silent.”
Sign him back out! That sounds like Hell.
“And this is it? Your Majesty?" Husk looked like he could cry as he came to terms with the fact he may not be able to drink.
“Oh no! This was just a demonstration of what us seraphims had to deal with! The real party can start now.” He used that golden magic to wheel out carts of food and drink. A variety of alcohol was spread throughout the carts.
It seemed that everyone relaxed at that, happy they wouldn’t have to pretend to have fun for an acceptable amount of time before leaving.
“Remind me to sin some more before we go back to the hotel.” Husk requested to no one in particular as he reached for a bottle.
Charlie worried her lip between her teeth, grabbing your arm as she spoke, “Does Heaven actually suck that much?”
Your heart twisted as you realized making fun of Heaven maybe wasn’t the best call. “Noooo, it doesn’t. The high council is stuck up but no winner or reformed sinner will have to deal with them. Just unlucky angels like your father and I.”
That seemed to make her feel better and she moved on to dance with Vaggi as the band finally started up.
The actual party went extremely well. Lucifer had really outdone himself with the garlands and lights that hung on every wall. The food, all made with thousand dollar ingredient lists. No ask was truly ever too big for the King of Hell.
You had danced with both Angel and Charlie, drank with Husk and Nifty even told you looked pretty. The night however eventually wore down and everyone went home. Angel promised to wait for you at the hotel after you told Lucifer you’d stayed to help take everything down. After everything was taken down and put away you stood in an empty room with Lucifer. Your heels forgotten at the entrance.
Lucifer walked up to you, his outstretched hand for you to dance with him.
“I really can’t stay.”
“Baby it’s cold outside! You’ll freeze and I’d never live down the guilt of your death.” It was pentagram city, there was no such thing as cold here. Lucifer spun you out and back into him.
“Angel’s waiting for me.” You tried again.
Lucifer leaned down, pecking you on the lips. “You really taste delicious.”
Your resolve and excuses were running out quickly. Lucifer took the cape and sash off, leaving him in just the black suit. “I’m sure he won’t mind you staying here. I’ve got better safety wards than that deer has on the hotel, so you’re safer here too!”
You smile, pulling your jewelry off and heading for a couch. “Maybe just a half drink more.”
“You sure do take a lot of convincing.”
You giggle as Lucifer hands you a glass of wine, you weren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Not taking the approach the way his daughter did, Lucifer helps angel out by basically renting out his service for a week every once in a while and instead of sex they literally just have sleepovers, eat ice cream and other junk and watch whatever. Angel looks forward to when he sees the king step into his place of work.

Angel pursed his lips, holding four different outfits in his gloved hands. Vaggi had her hands in your hair, rolling each section onto a Velcro roller, the pile sitting on your vanity desk slowly decreasing as she worked.
“Does short king like warm tones or cool tones on ya better, toots?” Angel made eye contact with you in the mirror as he lifted two options up, one warm and the other cool. The little alcove with your vanity and dresser, left the three of you squished close together.
“I fail to see why you both are doing this. We’re watching a movie in the lounge room with the lights off. What is it with the glam team?”
Vaggi and Angel made eye contact through the mirror, “We just want you to look and feel your best! With all that blood, you couldn’t wear anything cute.” Vaggi tried as a reason, done with putting your hair up and reaching for the hairspray.
“Mhm.” You stood, turning to Angel as he tried to hand you an outfit. You push past him, grabbing a tank top and some sweatpants you cut into shorts. You however took the socks he had grabbed.
“Oh, come on! Let us dress you up!” Angel pouted, throwing the clothes on the ground.
“Tell me why you’re doing this.” You pushed a hairbrush up to Vaggi’s throat, your threat more cute than scary.
Vaggi sighs, taking your place on the stool.
“We’ll tell you,” Angel leaned down into your eye line, “If you first tell us the stitch between you and da King.”
“There’s nothing going on!” Why can’t they just accept that answer? The blush on your cheeks whenever they asked about Lucifer was the reason they wouldn’t accept your answer.
Vaggi looked at you, remaining silent but backing Angel’s offer up. The message was clear, neither of them would talk if you did not first. You fall back against the arch into the room, throwing your head back and dragging your hands down your face. “..we kissed yesterday.”
“Well hot damn wings! You guys actually took that step?”
“Sooooo you guys are…dating right?” Vaggi tried, quickly realising she might have just lost the bet she made with Angel.
“Well-ugh I don’t know! I don’t think so? He didn’t ask me. We said we were just friends before we kissed.”
Angel put a hand on your shoulder, asking with a deathly seriousness, “With tongue though right?”
You stuttered, “uh-well- I mean-, it, it wasn’t just a peck but! It was not-” You couldn’t believe the absolute casualness Angel had when asking about the details of your love life. I guess sinners don’t have a reason to remain pure like angels and winners do.
“Ohhhhhh, there was tongue! Well now, where were his hands?” Angel waggled his eyebrows at you.
“Angel! Leave her be, she’s embarrassed!” Vaggi smacked the spider in the ribs, turning to you to apologize. “Sorry, it’s just that, we may have made a bet on when you guys were getting together. Today was my guess.” Vaggi was starting to feel bad about the bet now that she was telling you.
Your mouth hung open, eyes wide, throwing the tank top you had yet to change into at the two of them. “I can’t believe you two!” You weren’t actually that mad, they hadn’t meddled with you two all that much. It didn’t hurt anything. You knew Lucifer made much crueler bets in his time.
A two person chorus of ‘sorry’ rang out. Both of them looking a little shameful.
“Well, It’s no matter now,” You reached upwards, twisting and untangling the rollers from your hair one at a time, careful to not ruin the work Vaggi had put into it. “We aren’t together.” The fact made your heart hurt a little. Despite all this time, you were still in love with the blonde and you couldn’t quite tell if he wanted another round of your love. The pain must have been obvious with the way the two jump back into helping you out.
You had changed into the outfit, comfort at the forefront of your mind, looking good enough to impress the King of Hell was second. Vaggi fiddled with the pieces of hair at your face.
“It’s obvious that he likes you, don’t think we haven’t noticed the lack of wedding ring.” Vaggi spoke. “He’s over Lilith, there’s nothing between them, you don’t have to worry.”
Angel had grabbed a big basket from his room while you changed. Apparently his line of work gave a lot of pr. If only he’s tell you what he did. It seemed interesting, Angel was always tired after work and you wanted to know what caused it. “She’s right you know,” he opened a box and then immediately closed it. “The guy loves you, it’s obvious he ain’t the type to be making out with someone as a sign of friendship. We just need him to see it for himself.” Angel had seemingly found what he was looking for.
The spider held out a green lace thong, the tag still attached to the hip. They were cute, you would admit, what really got your attention however, was the little embroidered mistletoe at the front of the garment. The implication obvious and it made your core tighten a little.
“I guess he never got over that…quirk?”
All of Angel’s sharp teeth were on display with the smile he displayed. “Now that was the response I was hoping for.”
You delicately grabbed the pair from him, surprised by how soft they were. “How exactly does this help my case?”
“Simple! You wear these, they poke out a little at the sides and then the King gets interested and when he takes these shorts off of you, he’s so taken aback by how good you look, he admits his feelings and you fall happily in love with each other again!” Angel spoke as if it really were that simple.
You didn’t have a better plan so you go back to your bathroom to change your underwear. Here goes nothing.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
Lucifer sat on a chair, looking down at the projector Charlie had pulled out of storage, a pair of gold framed glasses sat low on his nose to help him the tiny print.
“I know this thing works, I just can’t seem to remember how. That cable,” He pointed to his left, a red wire sat on the ground. “Has something to do with this box thing.” He gave up after fiddling with the box for a few more minutes, summoning razzle and dazzle to take care of things for him. He perked up as Husk spoke, already sitting at one end of the sofa, whiskey bottle beside him.
“How do we get a christmas movie? I don’t know if your aware of our film selection down here your majesty but most of them star Angel Dust.”
“We’re pirating it from Heaven, I know just the movie, feather loves it.” Lucifer had started calling you feathers after you appeared down here. His reasoned that it was because they need extra attention now, you figured he called you that because it took you four days to be able to hide them and you were shedding a lot now a days. New darker grey feathers replacing your old white ones. Lucifer got up, trusting the deer to figure out what he couldn’t, rubbing his face in tiredness as he tried to hang the projector screen up. Your little moment under the porch light was affecting him more than it should. It wasn’t like he hadn’t kissed you before, he knew how you kissed and what you tasted like. He shouldn’t have sat in bed, obsessively replaying the scene in his head ever and over again like a teen after their first kiss. It just wasn’t fair the effect you had on him.
Lucifer turned his attention back to problem at hand, least he wanted a different problem under his thick fluffy red pants to make himself known. Charlie came in to see how her dad was doing, offering to set everything up when she noticed her dad had given up and left it to his pets. He agreed, deciding to go and check on you in the kitchen.
The night before, you whipped up some sugar cookie dough so you all would have a fresh treat to eat while watching a movie. You currently stood over the stove, having nothing to do but watch the timer tick while your last batch cooked. Lucifer slipped in through the double doors, looking for you.
“Smells delicious in here.”
“Yeah? Just wait till you get a taste. I've heard men would fall from Heaven just to get some.” You crossed your arms as you continued to trace the arm of the timer with your eyes, subtly watching the trouble maker. You knew exactly what he wanted, the food irresistible to the supposed incarnation of evil. Lucifer gave you his best smile, eyes lidded, every part the devil. He walked up behind you, his shoulders casting a slight shadow over you. He moved one hand to rest on your hip, fingers tangling in the green lace that dug into your hip, pulling you back by it to rest against him as you waited. You knew this game. You kept your resolve steady despite his bold movements. The tick of the timer created a rhythm that Lucifer followed with his hips, back and forth, back and forth. His hand pushed the side of your shorts and underwear down to dig his hand into the fat at your hips. 5 Crescent moons indented themselves on you. His other hand stayed anchored on his cane.
“Temptation is no longer your strong suit it seems.” You mused, resolve close to breaking but he had no need to know that. 3 minutes and you’d be free and your treats safe.
“Is that so?” His chest rumbled against your back, his nose too close to your ear for you to think straight.
3 minutes.
That’s it. That was easy right?
Lucifer sucked in a breath, nose full of you and that sweet scent. His enhanced smelling him that he was getting to. Suits you right for what you do to me.
His hand now traveled around to your stomach, claws breaking that first few layers of skin as he went. You welcomed the burn as it distracted you. A soft breath left your mouth, his hand tugged at the hem of your tank top. The ends hanging away from your skin as the shirt was designed for comfort. The low neckline made up for the unflattering appearance of the top. There was a reason he hadn’t turned you around yet. His view of your cleavage that was still there despite the lack of bra was best from this angle. You tipped your head back onto his sweater clad shoulder, as he massaged the skin exposed to him.
2 minutes.
This was fine. You weren’t slipping.
A guttural moan leaves your soft lips as Lucifer scratches you again. “More” you whisper, starting to turn around. Lucifer leaned in, victory was his and he got a kiss out it as well? Life couldn’t get better.
*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BE- Lucifer pushed farther into you, reaching behind you to slam his hand on the timer. He dragged his hand against the stove top, bottom lip jutting out, pouting that everything just failed miserably because he literally ran out of time.
You giggle at his antics as you remove his hand from you, grabbing the oven mitts and taking the last batch out. Your hips rubbed against his as you bent down to pick them out the oven. Lucifer inhaled, you were playing with hellfire now. It had been a while since he was touched like that, he would crumble if you kept going.
“Come on handsome, we have a movie to watch. I’m sure the girls have got it going now.”
He coughed, flustered. God help me, I can’t finish what I’ve started.
The members of the Hazbin Hotel squished in together, arms and legs wrapped around one another as you all got comfy. Lucifer and you were against one of the arm rests, Angel had laid on his side in front of you both, forcing both of you to pull your legs up, Lucifer decided to sit with his knees pulled up and spread wide. A bowl of popcorn sitting on the sofa between them. You crossed your legs over his lap, Lucifer let you, finally getting to enjoy the feel of you again after so long. That kiss last night had turned out to have done a lot for you both. The movie that you loved most played on the screen, lights dim and a blanket holding you against the corner of the sofa. It was nice to be surrounded by people you loved. You felt at peace though it didn’t last as Lucifer's tail made an appearance at the end of the first act. He wrapped the thing around your ankle. The flat inverted triangle rested against your sole. As the movie continued, so did his tail up your leg. Inch by inch, Lucifer dragged it up you. The point of the head stabbed your inner thigh, teasingly but still firm.
Lucifer turned to you, whispering as the final act started to unfold. “You should come back to my room after, the new feathers in your wings will need to preened. The casts should come off easily. I’ll help.”
You knew Lucifer would be no help. You agreed to his offer.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
You sat on a chaise in Lucifer’s room. A fireplace sat in front of you, the ash had been taken out earlier in the day. An extra stock of wood and fire pokers sat on the left side of the brick fixture. Real fur rugs decorated the ground, protecting your feet from the cold of the hardwood. Lucifer stood at a wine rack, pouring you both a second glass. Lucifer had done as he promised and helped you take the keratin casings off your wings. The colour change was…difficult. It was starting to set in that you were condemned to hell, not just down here visiting. Hence the wine, Lucifer claimed it helped those pesky sad thoughts.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
You had moved down to sitting on the floor, knit socks sliding across the fur easily. Lucifer had joined you, tail playing with the now empty bottle of wine.
Lucifer said your name, requesting your attention lift from watching the flames. “You know you’re still gorgeous. Maybe even more so than in Heaven.” His words slurred a little. The wine he grabbed was stronger than he remembered.
“What’s with all this first name nonsense? Where’s my nicknames baby?” You teased, leaning back to spread yourself on the fur rug. Arms coming up and down like you were making a snow angel. Your legs remain closed.
“I’m trying to talk refined. Because,” He drawled, “I’m scared you’ll find out how I’m imagining you.”
“And how’s that sugar?”
Lucifer crawled over to you. His hands found your hips again squeezing before hooking them under the waistband of your shorts.
You lifted your hips, allowing him to take the garment off. No reason to follow purity laws if they don’t apply. You wanted this, God above, you craved this moment. You spread your legs, heart rate spiking as you were going to consummate your relationship finally.
Lucifer’s eyes found the embroidered mistletoe immediately. Taken aback at the sight. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. A vice-like grip on your thighs caused the skin to break.
You gasped at the pain, Lucifer’s eyes shot open. He watched the blood dribble down your leg. He then grabbed your ankles, throwing them over his shoulder as lapped at the blood. He took great pleasure in tasting it. Hell corrupts you after a while he found.
He moved upward, wanting to taste your sweet nectars after a million millennia without it.
A knock at the door stopped him. Lucifer growled, getting up and stomping to the door. You sat, still in shock, the wine was leaving your system.
“Yes?” Lucifer asked, annoyed. His dinner was getting cold.
That deer man stood at his door and his annoyance doubled.
“Good evening your majesty! I was just checking up on you. I saw the smoke from the chimney and I’d hate for the hotel to burn down. Charlie is so excited to decorate the hotel tomorrow, I suggest you get to bed soon.”
Lucifer stared at him, this is what interrupted him? Seriously? He slammed the door close. He turned to you, ready to continue but you had put your shorts back on.
“Did you not want to-“
“No! It’s not that it’s just, that felt like a sign. We aren’t ready yet for that.”
“No no you’re right? Do you-“ Lucifer looked around his room. “Do you maybe want to stay the night? No funny business? Just like how we used to? I miss having you beside me if I'm honest.”
“I’d like that.”
Lucifer lit up, clearly not anticipating your answer. He ran to get you some pajamas from his closet.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
You laid beside Lucifer and everything disappeared. You had your finance for a few hours and you weren’t going to waste it. You wrapped a leg around him, shoving your face into his chest. Lucifer held you, fully relaxed as you both drifted off.
“Goodnight handsome.”
“Good night my love.”
