VANS HOUSE PARTIES | CHICAGO | YOUTH CODE
Los Angeles based duo Youth Code merge the power of EBM, industrial and metal. Formed in 2012, Youth Code has opened for big acts like AFI and worked alongside Joshua Eustis of Nine Inch Nails for their EP, A Place to Stand. While you can hear how industrial metal acts like Nine Inch Nails or metal rock band Metallica inspired Youth Code, they have fused those influences with their own rough and relentless twist.
With Sara Taylor on vocals, keyboards, and synthesizers; and Ryan George on keyboards sampling, and backing vocals this duo has been carving out their own path in the genre. Tackling issues like sexism and animal cruelty, Youth Code has a lot to say, and they say it loud. The House of Vans Chicago got an earful last night.
Youth Code is currently on tour, more info here.

Grey Days: On the Road With Chelsea Wolfe & Youth Code
Photographer and videographer Nick Fancher tagged along for two stops on the trek, in Detroit and Chicago, capturing the musicians in candid moments onstage and off, soundchecking, applying their show makeup, test-driving instruments at a music store and planning future psychedelic experiments on the tour bus late at night. The result is an intimate portrait of life on the road.
