I get why they do it, but if I picked up a bow and it sounded like this, Iād be signing up for the shield wall instead!

It's not prophecy. It's knowing simple history of food regulations. It's knowing how the "crunchy" "woo" NuAge health nuts think.
A lesser-mentioned evil of data privacy erosions and corporations forgetting their place is the inescapable demands via Support and Help Desk for private information.
Even once you battle past the gatekeeper robots that donāt understand a damn thing, even once you get to āLive Chatā and a presumed human, then the demands begin again. Give us your full first and last name! Give us your email address! Give us your phone number!
Unless I am seeking account support, that information is not necessary and is in fact an egregious overreach.
When FedEx misdelivered someone elseās package to my home, they refused to even hear about it unless I gave them ALL of the information mentioned above. The only information they needed was my address, to know where their driver needed to backtrack to fix his mistake. My full government name was not necessary. My contact information (again, email address AND phone number!!!) were not necessary. The package never left my porch, so no need to know anything about me or reach me in any way. Send the man back to pick it up. They refused.
When a musician I love started touring, they chose to sidestep Ticketmasterās nonsense, which is great, but the service they chose was so aggressive about bot traffic that it was impossible to look at two different tour dates to compare prices without being flagged as a bot and blocked from the site. Trying to talk to a human was the same battleāfight the robots, demand a human, get a human who was so strictly locked to scripts that I still am not entirely sure they werenāt yet another bot, and then face egregious and intrusive demands for information.
Full government name, email address, phone number, and, the kicker, IP address in conjunction with all the rest to confirm, yeah trying to look at prices got you flagged as a bot, no we canāt change that, you have to wait three days for the robots to forget about you so you can try again. We wonāt acknowledge you followed all the bot-recommended steps to not be flagged as suspicious. Yeah, that means itāll probably happen again in three days. We have your government name an phone number and email address, now all tied to your IP address. Donāt worry about what weāll do with it. Goodbye.

Half of President Donald Trumpās MAGA base thought the Iran war was worth its economic costs in May. Now, just a little more than a third do.
That precipitous, 13-point drop in just two months, according to a new POLITICO Poll, reveals how the presidentās most die-hard supporters are starting to agree with the majority of Americans who have long opposed the U.S.ā involvement in the war.
