It's 9:30 pm and I have work in like five hours but I can't stop thinking about Imaizumi. He's just....... He puts so much pressure on himself to be the best, and he has to prove himself. I'm not sure if it's because he's just never had any other passions in his life or if he just....... Idk, just has such a natural competitive streak. But I just think that he's the type of person who will push himself past the point of no return to be the best. Like I haven't read the manga but I just think that he's the type who would get injured and play it off like it's not a big deal as it keeps getting worse and worse. Like he doesn't want to depend on anyone but he wants to be a polar is strength for everyone around him. Like he wants to prove that he's so much more capable than he is.

And I think that's why he's such a good fit with Sohoku, like Kinjou always said that they're a team who rely on each other and carry each other. And Imaizumi has seen that multiple times, but he's STUPID and can't get that through his thick skull that Sohoku has always got his back. His pride is the thing that's holding him back the most and although I love him for it, sometimes you just gotta admit you need help.
