was looking at old writing (not too old tho) and I found what I consider a banger so here you go:
Kindness as a Manual
I have learned what is not taught, studied what I cannot read, and despair in knowing I will never master it.
Do not cradle me kindly, nor hold me in tender nor embrace.
I cannot promise I will not bite.
No, store me at the bottom of a furnace in the hearth uncleaned and untouched, where I am buried underneath soot and ash.
So my tears may dry and none may be shed. Where kindness will not find me, and despair eats at my bones.
Unteach me what I am taught so I may learn it all over again. Gouge the seeds sowed, so I may plant them all over again.
What child has use for ruthlessness, I ask, and ponder the question you will never know.
Just know that when the glass shatters and the first blood is spilled; that I was here.
And I’ll never truly leave.
