Getting prepared to tackle Mr Montenegro’s history tidbits. I wonder just how much Mrs, err, Miss Herzegovina was close to him..Well, let’s find out soon.

Don’t be confused about the flag - it’s the old flag of Montenegro, from the time of the Kingdom of Montenegro. I used the version without the coat of arms (people’s flag). According to some German writer from the 19th century, the colors of this flag can be seen even in Montenegro’s traditional clothing: the scarlet red top, blue pants and clear white stockings.

But then he and Serbia really messed up their relationship, and he wasn’t willing to have a flag too similar to his cousin’s. Mr Serbia really doesn’t know how to keep good relationships with his neighbours, huh.

Mrs Miss Herzegovina is very fiesty, don’t you forget that.

S-so how have you all been? Thank you for the wonderful messages! And so so so sooo sorry for all the people who sent me asks ages ago but still didn’t get your answers! It’s going slow, but I’ll be getting to them! The especially interesting one is with Serbia and Croatia’s medieval relationship, pre Ottoman conquering.. Or the relationship other Balkan countries have to these guys. I can’t wait to get to all of that ! :’)

I was thinking of drawing Miss Herzegovina friendship with Mr Montenegro lately. I really need to touch upon Mr Montenegro’s history, too, so I might cover them together. Also I had an ask about how she got married to Mr Bosnia. I’ll make sure to cover that too.

As for this strip, her fighting spirit is still very much alive! While Mr Croatia also doesn’t forget the past, he tends to become much more laid back... Actually, he’s preoccupied with uncertainties about his lifestyle, and just what road he’s heading. She won’t back down on her bro though, that’s for sure! Hang in there Mr Croatia!

Mr Srpska made a shy appearance again! Basically, his relationship with Mr Serbia is similar to Herzegovina’s and Croatia’s. He sides with Serbia, and she sides with Croatia. And they defend them very passionately. Sometimes Miss Herzegovina does indeed feel herself more Croatian than Mr Croatia, and Mr Srpska more Serbian than Mr Serbia! Sibling/parental projection is strong in these guys.

Are we going to be seeing more of Montenegro? :)

But of course! :) He’s dying to show that there’s much much more than the lazy stereotype to him! I’ll try to make him appear as soon as possible, and frankly he will appear in the Balkan Wars follow up.

Hi Tiiix! c: I've stuck with your awesome Yugotalia art for a while by now, so I was wondering, if you had any ideas of what voices could all the Yugos have? :D

Hiyaaaaa ! :) Thanks for writing! As for the voices, oh my, that’s …something I haven’t thought about before ! I wonder.. Concerning Hetalian voices already in existence, I guess I could compare? (I only watched the japanese version, though..)

Serbia - Definitely a voice like Turkey’s.Croatia - Austria’s voice.Slovenia - Estonia’s voice.Macedonia - Belgium’s voice.Montenegro - Something like the Netherlands. A bit more cheerful than that, though.Bosnia - Denmark’s voice.Herzegovina - Belarus’ voice.

A Yamato Nadeshiko, that’s quite interesting! A true “wife” might indeed be ideal for him. I wonder how he’d get along with Miss Japan? I don’t think he’d be a bit bugged she’d control the money in the household, haha.. He might be a bit too frank and lively for her too! But it’s cute. Especially since Serbian men used to have a custom to tie flowers in both girl’s  hair and their own. Cute.

Concerning updates!

This update took a while huh? Sorry everybody!

The thing is - I got employed. Perhaps it’s a good thing.. but this is a sad occasion actually, since I  have to lift my butt off the computer, lol.

Anyways, things might go a bit slower, but I will still update, and I still keep all of your asks saved!

Concerning Mr Poland today, out of all the ex Yugoslavs, he really considers Mr Serbia a really good bro of his. Namely, they are both considered a bit whack  by European nations. Slavs unite, right? Via drinking and track suits, of course!
