Honestly, she couldâve probably gotten used to being down in this place. Nobody seemed like they were gonna kill anyone, they had books to read, and some of the people here seemed friendly! Well, that was how she was thinking before she heard static and then the unidentifiable voice once again, which definitely couldnât be good, considering what came out of it the first time they heard it.
She quickly made her way over to the hospital, and sure enough, there were the tablets. The maps were kinda neat to look at, she could see everyones names, and sure enough, you could tell the time as well! Maybe the voice was nice this time.
No. No it wasnât, she questioned herself as to why she would even think about that. Kill the people she really cared about? It couldnât be real, she frantically searched for the live feed on the tablet, and sure enough, it worked. It was just her family, the family that she cared about, but not as much as she could. Lukewarm. Tears would be shed, but she would get over it sooner than later.
She snapped out of it as soon as the voice spoke her name. Plenty of times actually, which was enough to get completely rid of the smile that usually covered her face. Even then, she barely had time to process what was said before she was forced to face it, with the help of a boy who completely opposite of her, not that she judged anyone by their looks or anything!
âI-I swear, I didnât do it on purpose! Please donât hurt me, I didnât mean to do anything, I promise!â Tears were forming in her eyes, but as soon as she noticed, she angrily wiped them away and smiled once again. âI mean, uh⊠Lets not get mad, alrighty? Come on, turn that frown upside down, everything is gonna be fine!â
Kenji crossed his arms, and didnât lighten up as he continued to glare at her. It was just and accident and that did make things slightly better. Slightly. She still fucked up enough to get a deadly weapon into their hands. He sighed more, shutting his eyes. Maybe he should just calm down.
âBe more careful what you say. You wouldnât want someone to think youâd want someone else dead would you? Because thatâs what asking for a weapon suggests.â He frowned at her. Anyone killing in this situation would be a terrible circumstance. Handing them an axe is practically setting up for someone to die. Though they could still use some other methods, the axe just facilitated it.
âNo. Itâs not going to be okay. What makes you think it will be?â Someone was going to kill, Kenji was sure of it. They wouldâve killed even without the axe, so there really was no point in getting upset. But thereâs no reason to be happy.
