My love for naruto characters came roaring back and I wondered what a kakagai lovechild would look like. 

Anyway this is Zai. One dad encourages wearing bright green, the other encourages a standard ninja blue, and Zai herself really admires Sakura in that way kids are inclined to do and is drawn to that particular shade of pink. Her wardrobe is a bit of a mess (kinda like my drawing skills ayyy lmao).

OC tober day 8 - Red 

Hello, this is Claire, she’s from a fantasy story concept I made and scrapped years ago but I miss doodling her so here. She got angry and her magic responded haha 

Had a lot of fun using an actual highlighter to do the highlights, even if it doesn’t show up in her hair all that well

OC tober day 7 - Yourself

The angling is a little weird but I was trying to go for something that’s slightly above me. 

Yes, the dots on the skin are intentional, I have a small number of noticeably brown freckles in random spots. And, yes, I have a permanent blush on my cheeks; it’s a problem sometimes.

OC tober day 6 - Rivals 

Plain pens and copics 

These two are from another original story that I did back in high school. The redhead is Lily and the shy one is Mariposa. They’re not exactly rivals; I don’t really go in for that dynamic, like... ever, so I don’t really make characters that are rivals. Lily is just really competitive and cajoles Mariposa into doing things with her to satisfy her competitive streak. They’re pretty close friends otherwise, though.

OC tober day 5 - Kiss 

Done with plain ol’ pens and some copics

These two are from an original story I plan on developing out more and writing someday. Unfortunately I never wrote their names down so I have to rename them at some point, but oh well. 

These two aren’t main characters in the story, but I do like them a lot, so here they are. The one on the left is a supervillain, and the one on the right is a superhero. Yes, they’re both gay men. Yes, they went from enemies to lovers. Yes, one of them does die and the other takes it very badly. The one who lives becomes important to the story (this is pretty much a flashback scene here) as he mentors the main character.

OC tober day 4 - Siblings 

So I ditched the gel pens. This is mostly normal colored pens from Staples, with a bonus single copic color for the skin. 

The older sibling is the same character that I did on day 2, actually. They still don’t have a name, but to be fair their younger sister there doesn’t either. Either way, I suck at drawing anyone under the age of 12 lmao

OC Tober day 3 (very late): Friend’s OC 

This is Julia, she’s the OC of the lovely @underneath-the-overworld who let me borrow her for this prompt lol thank u 

The hair was super fun but this is the last time I used the gel pens for these since they kinda smear everywhere uncontrollably

Day 2 of OC Tober: Latest OC 

This character actually doesn’t have a name yet and this is the first time showing them to anyone at all! Gonna put ramblings about them under the cut for those interested 

Ok so normally their hair doesn’t cover a whole side of their face, but I made a Big Mistake and had to cover that up lmao 

ANYWAY this character spawned when I was thinking about One Piece and asked myself, “What would Sanji do if he met someone who’s neither a man or a woman (and who isn’t an ugly caricature)?” 

Their eye and hair colors are still kinda up in the air, but they’re most likely gonna be close to what I threw on the paper here. It’s not colored in at all, but they also have darker skin. Something else that doesn’t come across is that their hair is actually wildly curly, but I got too caught up in covering up the face mistake. 

I think this might be my first character that has freckles, though! They’re also one of the few that have visible scars (there are more under the hair that are pretty bad, which is why they have it covering that side of their head). 

They had a pretty good childhood with their parents and younger sister, but then their parents died very suddenly, so now they’re the sole caretaker for their sis. The island they live on doesn’t like them much because they’ve got a pretty weird power and the islanders are lowkey suspicious that they might’ve been responsible for their own parents’ deaths, so they don’t get a lot of help from others. They don’t have a formal job (nobody wants to hire them), but they struck a deal with the islanders that they’ll fight off pirates and the like and the islanders give them stuff like food and medicine as needed. It’s not the friendliest of agreements but it works out fine for everyone involved, so it’s stable enough. They’re also super protective of their sister, and if someone deliberately hurts her, they will get revenge; luckily, most of the islanders actually really like their sis because she’s just generally really sweet and charming.

I guess I’m doing OC Tober this year. Day 1 is First OC 

Anyway her name was literally Cat-Girl and she was a superhero whose power was just that she could transform from human to cat or just be in this weird halfway state. She did, of course, have a partner called Cat-Boy, who looked pretty much the same except he’s a boy. Her original design may or may not have been based off of comics and anime, both of which are notorious for scantily clad busty women, so I may have, uhh, covered her up a bit here. Mostly because it’s been so long since I’ve drawn a busty character that I... kinda forget how to do those proportions... 

Genuinely do not know how to transfer her into my current style since I first drew her when I was... uhhh 7? 8? And I don’t have any drawings of her on-hand to reference either. So uh she looks a little more like a rat than a cat, whoops?

For some reason my brain latched onto a Sanders Sides Naruto!AU a few months back and I planned out some rough story there, but I also sketched out what Virgil and Janus would look like. 

These are the only colored parts, and I liked how they turned out, so I figured I’d slap them up here in case anyone is into the idea of a Naruto!AU. Might post the outfit sketches if anyone’s interested later on

I like to think that after Logan was yoinked out of his little text box, he popped up to watch the rest of it with Remus and Virgil, but they were, ah, preoccupied, so he startled them lol

Did I wonder how Remus and Virgil would react during Putting Others First before everything spiraled into chaos? Perhaps

While I’m here on my sideblog today I’d also like to show off a redesigned Naruto OC because I guess that’s just what I’m doing with my pandemic time. 

His name was Taka and I... will probably keep it like that because I have no better ideas. Orange is his favorite color but he can’t wear any because it clashes horribly with his hair; luckily he does actually like calmer neutral colors as well and that’s what he wears. The leg bandages cover up a tattoo that’s linked with one of his most powerful jutsu, but he rarely uses it. When people first meet him, they think he’s a pretty burly manly guy, but he’s actually a bit feminine and very comfortable showing it whenever the mood strikes.

idk if anyone remembers my mild disaster of a Jasper/Steven fusion concept, but I don’t think I ever showed the doodles of them I did. I just,,, really like them,,, they are Crabby Baby 

Also I’ll prooobably redo the colored drawing at some point but don’t count on it being anytime soon lmao I have no sense of time’s passage

You know how in Steven Universe, Rose and Pearl fuse? I wondered what it would look like if the Diamonds fused with their corresponding Pearls. 

These were a lot of fun and tbh I wish more people gave the idea a shot because it really flexes the creative muscles
