This is a bigger deal than some of you might think, because Superman is one of the heroes in the DC Universe who keeps his secret identity pretty damn secret, because as probably the most powerful and influential person on earth, a lot of people do not wish him well - and would jump at the chance to hold people dear to him as leverage.

Yet, he trusts this poor, scared little kid. To comfort him, and entrust him with his biggest secret - just as Billy did for him.

This is why no one should ever believe it when readers say "Korean authors don't know what slavery in the west is!! 😢They're innocents who don't know no better!"

These author's aren't stupid. They're people who made a choice and chose not to care. And no, reincarnating into white characters in rofan isn't "East Asians in cosplay", it's this.

This is the logical conclusion. Demonizing/infantilizing slaves, uplifting the rich, justifying slavery in things like VADD and Remarried Empress, glorifying white supremacy and slaver stories like Shield Hero in Japan would naturally lead to stories like this (a la Gone with the Wind style glamorization of the "noble slaver" archetype). It was only a matter of time.

The only good thing is that other Korean readers are upset with this too as far as I know. Just like when "Just because I can Control Darkness Doesn't Mean I'm Evil!" came out, Japanese readers clocked it for the whitewashing aspect and were rightfully upset. The fact that this has a platform at all is disgusting, and it's clear these companies haven't learned from Get Schooled.

As a black woman, I hope the author who made this crawls into a hole and doesn't come out. They should be ashamed of themselves.

we need to have a conversation about how the "everyone is 12" theory of politics now doesn't only apply to conservative men who want to kick the bad guys' asses and then go home and eat a steak their bangmommy made just for them (NO VEGGIES!!!) but also to adult women who are literally afraid of other people having sex and being sexy. it's like there's been this massive regression among women in their 20s where we've gotten rid of feminism and replaced it with a new form of purity politics that requires never saying anything bad about another women unless you find a new and creative way to call her a whore. the misuse of "she caters to the male gaze" as a new form of enlightened slut shaming, labeling any woman who wears a short skirt or has sex with a man as "not a girls' girl" and "a pick me," the intense overreaction to celebrity affairs or even just shit like the summer house mess where a woman is now dating another woman's ex even though there was no overlap and the "relationship" was just kind of a situationship that fizzled but now these little girls are online demanding both people involved in the new relationship lose their jobs and not get any brand deals, the panic over mildly sexual content in literally any capacity like ads or an instagram post in a crop top, the compulsion to link everything back to the epstein files, the monthly meltdown over sex scenes on tv and in movies. everyone is 12 and AFRAID of sabrina carpenter.

Forgot to post this drawing, but it's Bridgette's first past life.

Her name is Moon, she's the stepsister of the Isekai'd MC of a manga called "Worthless Reincarnation! A Losers Life Turns Around in a World Full of Cute Mages, But He's SSS-Tier!"

She was the side character in a harem manga about a perverted MC who reincarnates into his ideal world. He kept saying he understands how women feel, but repeatedly harasses girls in town and shows no remorse or true change.

One day, he reveals that he wants to raise Moon to be his obedient wife and in the end she kills him when he's weakest (well, more like she gives the finishing blow after every girl in town comes to kick his ass at once for harassing them).

The rules of a seinen world are much stricter than rofan world rules, so she was most likely kicked out of the world for killing the MC (who was harassing the girls around him to the point they all turned a blind eye when he was killed by Moon).
