auh i'm really anxious on sharing my work! but I've finally done with my oc draft (minus dyle). ANyway ignore me this is just an AU of mine by making up dyle backstory (cause i love the little clockguy! and i'm sure the dev cook up a really good story soon involving him) it's just i'm too impatient to wait for more story/lore to come out (the easter room was a little disappointing ngl) so i'm gonna be in my little corner doing my own thing in the meantime.
But if you're interest in my work then i'm gladly to share more info :D, for the lore of this AU let say that it took place way before gardenview even exist, instead some branch of a government was experimenting with this new found substance call god blood (y'know? the ichor from the game) fascinated by their rules defying ability like bringing inanimated object to life or anything that is beyond human comprehension so of course like any other normal human would do, they create cartoon anthropomorphic object and experiment on them. >:)
I mean yeah this is basically it, of course it's not original and sound really lame but at least i'm having fun,
Oh i almost forgot but i want to interpret abilties or power into this AU cause i mean c'mon who wouldn't want some kind of magic? plus i'm sure it not really out of dw realm considering there's characters like astro, connie and glisten existed. And it good practice for me when i finally make my own orginal work.
Anyway back to the lore, dyle and the others are not particularly the first batch but more so a succesful and useful one that they were able to produced.
As for power let start with our clock boy, since he's a literal pocket watch it kinda obvious it would be temporal control aka time.
Unlike our ingame dyle, this version of dyle is an awkward but energetic curious fella, he willing to obey the rules if it mean being seen as an ideal object, unless he set his mind onto something he won't stop until he finally got what he want.
Next is jestar, a living crystal ball, his power is spatial control. He was never meant to be in the facility because he was originally going to be created for some kid birthday but after showing sign of reality bending power the scientists agreed to kept him so they could continue their studies further more. He's the last member to join the group.
He's a mischievous object and would tease the others by pulling silly harmless prank, the one that got caught in the most is rodia because she look like an ideal victim according to him.
Mari, the fashion marionette, with the ability to control atom she able to materialize anything into existance as long as she know their structure and properties but it mostly clothes that she into. She would get into trouble for making too much and end up cluttering the place. She has a number plate that said B-100 along with a picture of 3 scrap out objects inside her room.
Rodia (And the one that i struggle the most, appearance wise) a talking radio with the ability to control frequency, she mostly use it to enhance her singing, usually to annoyed jestar. The two would bump head with each other sometime but beside her sarcastic and self centered personilty she is a generous object that want to see other thriving. And yes that included jestar too. Redundantly.
Saffi, since she's a plate and the only one among the group that doesn't have any kind of special power, she take on the mental of keeping the place clean along with providing the other objects included the humans her service. she a calm and collective object and would mostly keep her eyes close because she already know the layout of the entire facility, rumors has it that she is just as old as the facility itself. She is very loyal to those she served.
karios, a fun and bubbly cloude! he is slightly taller than the rest and considered to be the little brother among the group dynamic since he would constandly seen giving everyone a bear hug and being a little too energetic at time. He look up to dyle the most due to the fact that dyle is alway there during his hard time. They both are comfortable enough around each other to call one another brother. His ability is Environmental control.
Sorry the art look so wonky i struggle so much with jestar, rodia and karios the most because i wasn't satisfy with their prior concept especially rodia, i want to use a ring master design but i combind both a radio host and opera singer instead which is a popular profession in the 90s. dyle, mari and saffi (i really did her unjustly) are the only three that is in their first draft that why they look like that while the others look more refined. I forgot to use those line to mesure their height properly and omg do they look horrible standing next to each other (i shrink my boy karios too much). But either way i'm going to redesign them again since this is just a concept art piece so i could use as reference, i wouldn't want to change much, just remove some stuff out so i'll have an easier time drawing them in comic form. Anyway thank you so much for granding your precious time to read about my endless yapping. I'm just really passionate about this project.
