Gonna Start Shivering || Yuudai/Rie || Chapter 5 || Re: Yuu
Fear?⌠That was possible, hell, since they were staying in this hell for so long that itâs gone to the point of wondering if youâd ever get out alive. And if anyone you care would would die. Anything was possible in this place. Given how Yuu acted in the second trial and the attitudes of some other people⌠Yeah.
âYou know what, you kinda have a point. But also quite frankly? We were afraid of messing up again. Beside some people seems to care about you so like⌠We were kind of stuck, okay?! If people ganged up on us, thatâd be bad. Sometimes, being a bit cautious doesnât hurt but honestly, youâre a dick since Day One, so!â
Clenching his fists, the blond continued to talk, though with a very salty tone. This dudeâs salt knows no limits.
âFuck you, you piece of shit! You fucking made us suffer through this for what reason I absolutely donât know. Iâd want the explanation but firstââ
Oh god, is he going to do it. Yeah, heâs going to do it. The blond leapt from where he was to throw a punch toward Yuuâs face. And heâs Very Pissed. He may be small but heâs also a 4â7â being full of anger.
Honestly had Yuudai not done it first Rie probably would have done something as well. Instead all she could really do was pound her vote in, resulting in a hiss of pain. Maybe donât hit the podium that hard next time, but ideally there wouldnât be a next time right?
âW-Who wouldnât be scared in this horrible situation! You s-say that but how could we have even assumed it would go well!â
At this point she felt like she was just tacking words in, but she was in a bit of fury too. Albeit⌠Well Yuudai got the actual violence part of that.
They wanted votes. They got them it seemed.
âWeâve all voted. So explain yourself.â
This is Eliminâation || Yuudai/Rie || Chapter 5 || Re: Sorrel, Gina, Yuu
The blond ignored Sorrelâs rant, it was all the same, Sorrel was trying to make him a monster when the apothecary himself has committed murder. It was getting tiring to hear that. But Gina spoke. And Yuudai was really grateful, because he didnât know how he would handle the rant without being aggressive again. He knew that losing his chill again wouldnât help anything, so to be quiet to calm down a bit has helped.
And then the technical engineer spoke. The short student looked at Yuu and chuckled.
âHey, maybe Iâm dense in some stuff, maybe I still am, you might be not wrong, but I already suspected you of being behind this game for a while already! Timing is a tricky thing, honestly. Plus your loverâs attitude isnât helping. And yeah, we certainly never got along at all since day 1, but once there was a body in the safe and the paper just like you said, it started to click together.â
It wasnât long before he heard Sorrel whispering something to then sigh afterwards.
Rie grabbed to cover her ears as Yuuâs voice grew in volume. Yeah no sheâs not taking getting a headache right now.
âTakahashi-san. We already connected it! Ages ago! Youâre spelling out evidence we figured out already.â
She was frustrated, picking up where Yuudai had left off. Frustrated at having them spell it all and treat them like idiots! Maybe that was just her though.
âConsidering everything we didnât want to say it because of what we saw just happen! You saw what happened when just the idea was thrown about!â
She glared straight at them.
âWe donât have to say that in so many words how about, especially since you did the job already.â
Yeah that's it, Yuudai locks in a vote for Yuu Takahashi ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ
Locked Space Classroom || Yuudai/Rie || Chapter 5 || Re: Sorrel, u got no chill man
Yeah how about Yuudai is having none of that.
âYouâre so bent on killing someone! Yeah, guess who fucking murdered a person and got away with it. Why are you accusing us of that in first place, I personally believe you donât have a say in this stuff, donât try to make yourself feeling better by saying weâre all murderers. I mean, yeah, in a sense we kill a person collectively by sending them to their executions, but technically? You fucking killed someone with your own hands, so donât fucking act innocent, goddammit!â
âAnd if you fucking want evidence that someone else than Anya is behind this game, well. Remember the logo? Remember when someone took the fall for you by confessing they committed the murder and me falling in their trap? Remember when they said their supposedly true identity yet lied about the murder itself? Hm? Does that ring a bell?â
Yikes, looks like someoneâs salty as heck.
Rie reaches over when Yuudai finishes that, patting him on his back, she getâs what heâs saying⌠But maybe yelling wasnât the best answer. Not that she wasnât feeling it a bit too.
âBreathe, we still gotta get through all this.â
With that she turns her attention back to Sorrel though, her voice is firm. For once
âCould she kill us even if we got it right? Yes, thatâs been an option since day one hasnât it. She could have killed us at any time. Sheâs operating within the rules of the game too, even if she has more freedom, playing the game by the rules isnât giving in; itâs working in a system we donât have control over!â
Could she have ever imagined herself saying these things before this whole situation ever happened? Lord no, but there wasnât time to dwell on that right now.
âIf youâre saying weâre giving up then your definition is wrong, because I refuse to let us give up.â
Heartbeat becomes a lullaby || Yuudai/Rie || Chapter 5 || Re: Sorrel, Yuu, Gina
Yuudai was quietly listening to everyone throwing their piece in this discussion, it seemed to be going a bit somewhere, that is until Sorrel speaks. To be honest, the blond found that⌠Irritating. He grumbled and looked at the apothecary.
ââŚâŚâŚ.. So youâre willing to give up just like that? You have said before you donât trust her, and now youâre willing to throw every single effort of trying to escape this hell place down in the ground and just stay here? Just what the hell is that! Beside we havenât even gone through every evidence we found thoroughly. All I and Rie-san did was giving a summary of our findings, dammit!â
âLook, I was in the same boat as you when that piece of shit was claiming there was a mastermind and I doubted that. I was skeptic. But guess what, I looked around with Rie-san and Gina-san to verify the claims. While I wonât jump on it right now, I can tell you that what Anya said is likely true and thereâs evidence to prove thisâŚâ
Noticing that Rie is about to speak, Yuudai went quiet to let his friend a chance to talk. They can get back on the evidence later after all.
Sorrel mentioned the locket, Rie grabs into her bag to pull the little thing out. Itâs a small golden bracelet with a locket attached. She pops the thing open, inside is a picture of someone who does look an awful lot like Anya, along with another woman and a young child.
âIâd had this thing for so long⌠Anya told me she doesnât remember the picture, and sheâd probably tell you the same.â
Holding onto a thing since forever, sometimes she forgot she had it. Such a little thing. She didnât want to think too much back to that discussion, mostly because it was frustrating.
âA-And Weissen-san.â
Rie takes a breath here, a valuable second to attempt to organize words into something coherent.
âWhoâs to say that she wouldnât do something if we did take out sweet time. Ya heard her, âI donât intend on handing you kids over aliveâ, why would you assume that she would be perfectly fine with letting us stand around and wait it out for them to get inside!â
She placed a bit more faith in whatever was outside, certainly more faith than in Anya. Not a tough decision. Hope it doesnât backfire, but she didnât think it could.
âWe have to do something. I wonât just let us sit around and do nothing. Whether or not you believe thereâs someone behind this in the groupâŚ. I canât change your mind, but you have to see that we canât just sit around and let them win!â
Sheâs clenched her fists, sheâs set on this. But after another moment she takes a deep breath. Focus on other things too. There was evidence to discuss. She turns her attention towards Yuu, who was asking about the safe.
âA-And Takahashi-san, It was on the dead body, it was turned on itâs side at some point, and there were some flowers added to the safe recently⌠So someone else would have had access to it that wasnât me, Yukimura-san or Yuudai-kun. AndâŚâ
She reaches into her bag again, pulling out some⌠Bizarre little item. If you actually could recognize it it was a Cryptex.
âI got the code for the safe from this thing, found it in the pile of chairs. Solved it and⌠Yeah.â
Great ending there, but she left out the part of not realizing it was a safe code for what felt like an eternity. Try as she might sheâs still not quite an investigator.
It was a good thing that Yuudai went quiet for a moment, having time to think over what they foundâŚ
âYeah⌠We already covered the safe mystery after Rie-san solved it. Hm, what else⌠Oh yeah. Not too long ago while looking around, we saw Monomi and I chased the rabbit until it went through a hole and Monomi left a key, which I assumed was for the archives. And it was in fact for the archives and then we found⌠An interesting thing among others. In the archives, there was a file called the Ouroboros project. From what I understood, itâs about gathering data on us students both in the observatory and the other students who are underground. It said that using certain technologies, itâs possible to recreate a digital avatar of people who think and act independently. Originally it was meant to study the mind and the nature of talents, however there are mentions that it might be used to revive someone whoâs already dead? It also said there is a thing such as Teacher bot to observe and update the datas of the students dynamically.â
âAnd while I looked further, I also found an older slightly burnt file that detailed a similar mutual killing like the one we have had happening right now, but not many details are written down. However, there was a picture of five survivors, though badly injured, with the same file.â
He paused to take a breath before finishing talking.
ââŚOne of the people looks like Anya.â
Return to White once more||Yuudai/Rie||Chapter 5||Re: murder, noodle why, trial start? help m
For once, Yuudai was smiling in his sleep, not realizing another routine would strike again. He was sure he was going to leave this place with people he trusts here to go to their homes. However, the ID beeped and it did not help that Anyaâs loud voice was resonating through the device. Jeez. Was it surprising in the end? No. But was it irritating as always? Yes. So she lost her umbrella? Too bad, too sad. Why did they have to do the simple work of looking around for her, he was wondering. But still he was looking around so the pink haired woman would shut up. Though their search soon came to an end as another discovery was found. Heading to the wishing well, there was another sight he did not want to see.
ââŚAsh-san?â
Just for a moment, their conversation not too long ago resurfaced in his mind.
âIf anything happens to you, Iâll definitely take your diary and give that to your parents once I find them⌠But remember⌠Iâm here for you. Iâll do my best to make sure you live, okayâŚ?â
Of course, that confirmed one thing. He failed to protect her. But⌠The promise⌠Heâll keep it, he canât fail her again. Especially after reaching this far. Living is a must, dying is not an option. After doing his best to investigate around, despite being both sad and very pissed, Yuudai took a moment to think it over before the group was called to the trial again. It should be the final trial considering what Anya said. Yeah⌠Finally. If having the opportunity during the trial, heâll make the mastermind eat shit. No matter what excuses are pulled out.
While not having known her as well as others⌠Another death hit Rie hard. It brought an end the the nightmares, but at what cost. This was how many now? She couldnât even keep track of the number anymore.
All she could do was clench her fist, muttering under her breath. This had to be the last time, and that was even confirmed. They had to get it right this time didnât they? They could it? Everytime she asked herself something like that she felt like it was an endless cycle of repeating herself, she couldnât even blame herself too much though.
There was a line to what she would get over in other people, and she was going to try to get everyone to do their best. Least she could try. Didnât feel like a very badass way to put it, thatâs why she thought it and didnât decide to say it.
As they reached the trial room, Masashi asked an important question and when the answer was receivedâŚ.
The small blond found nothing better than to literally flip off at Anya. Though what Sorrel said next⌠Thatâs true.
ââŚUh yeah. Iâm wondering about the sounds as well but⌠I donât think itâs good to linger about it for too long, maybe we can come back about it later? Anyway, I can lay out part of the investigation, since there was stuff I, Rie-san and Gina-san found. Well, a while ago, there was a safe in the basement that contained a corpse that wore men clothes, we never really bothered to take out the corpse when we first found it, so the second time, I was wondering, maybe the corpse in the safe had something more? So I took the corpse out and laid it down, found out the corpseâs height is about 6â4â. Reason Iâve been doing that is since we couldnât identify the corpse entirely, we had to theorize. Still no idea who the dead person is. There was also a picture of Anya and a girl in there I think? That was found earlier.  Anyway, as Gina-san said back in the investigation, we also found a paper with the drawing of a power button along with the letter A on it. If you can even call it a drawing?â
Boy, that was alot.
âNot only that, something else about the corpse bothered me. While I was looking in the pockets of the corpse, I found a seed, and⌠Well, at first I, Rie-san and Gina-san headed to the kitchen to water it, since it seemed to be maybe a clue, but nothing happened there. And then we moved to the area with soil alongside with bowls of water and⌠You know the rest. Tree is poisonous, had to burn it, and suddenly a voice was heard in our minds, what was it saidâŚ?â
Well good time as ever, Rie chimes in to pick up.
âRegret means betrayal. Remember that when you enter my utopia.â Still spooky, âI donât exactly know what it means but⌠It was pretty symbolic.â Least that was what it seemed like. Some kind of symbol that she had little knowledge of. âI had tried poking around the now opened archives for something about a tree but.. All I found were Tree of Life stories in the library, so whatever it was itâs either something completely new or⌠â She lets herself trail of there. Mostly because she didnât know where that train was going. She looks off the to side as if to prove that point. But, she comes back after another moment, a new train of thought.
âAnd Iâd probably call the drawing like.. A Logo maybe? It kind of looked like it anyways, now thatâs just my guess.â As if to prove her point somehow she shakes her head, but it was all she had to offer there.
âLastly those three,â She pointed to Yuu, Gina and Masashi, âWent down the well, Iâm.. Not sure what they found there.â That was all she could think of to follow up this whole review process. So much information, sheâs hoping everyone can get through all of it.
Crawling Towards The Sun (Trial Start)
As soon as Gina, Masashi, and Yuu reemerged from the well, the buzzing of your ID cards summoned you back to the trial room. Great. Were you ready for this? Probably not.
As you enter the usual place, Anya is at her usual spot, cleaning some of the leftover blood from her parasol. Seeing you, she smiles.
âThe best case youâve ever investigated, am I right? The culprit, someone so brilliant and cunning, canât possibly be caught in this case, after all.â
Mm-hm.
âAnyway, Monomi told me about the mastermind thing. If you want to go forward with that, itâs just seven votes to put someone on the chopping block, and youâre home free! Good luck! 8)â
Your Neighborhood-Friendly Robot
After Anya retrieves her parasol and leaves, Monomi comes to replace her presence.
ââŚOh, so itâs this one? Weird. By the way, Anyaâs not gonna let you vote for her as the culprit for this one. No matter who you vote for Ashley Gravesâ killer, itâll end as a mistrial.â
âIf you donât want to mistrial again, then all you have to do is vote for a mastermind trial! But youâll only be able to do that once. If you vote incorrectly for the mastermind, then youâll lose your chance and youâll be stuck here forever! No pressure. :-)â
(Body) What Was Missing Is Found
âAh-ha! I knew I left it around here somewhere!â
With a hearty laugh, Anya kicks theâŚmakeshift umbrella holder.
âOh, and about your ârewardââŚHow do you kids like my work? Youâre still going to trial over this, by the way. Canât have you slacking about like she did!â
She laughs again as she starts to pull the parasol out of the body ofâŚ

(Event) An Umbrella That Flies Away
For once, you have a pleasant dream.
Your attention is grabbed by the high-pitched beeping of your ID cards. If the beeping wasnât enough to get your attention, then the urgent yelling of Anyaâs voice sure was.
âHeyâŚHEY! Listen up! I left my parasol somewhere and I need it back right away, okay? Iâll give you something in return if you manage to find it. Chop chop!â
âŚWell.

No Sweet Dreams, Only Nightmares||Yuudai||Chapter 5||Re: Motive
⌠The fuck was that? Was this what he dreamt of? No. no this canât be⌠This seemed all too familiar to him. It had happened before. Almost as if he was living it twice. Yuudai stared blankly in the distance as he was trying to understand in what world did this dream occur all of sudden, when he noticed a faint smoke. The blond looked at Rie with great concern to then dress up sloppily (aka he wears the same clothes because heâs really damn lazy and i realized I didnât give him another outfit, disappointment noises ahead) before exiting the room to go see what the fuck Anya has up in her sleeve once again. âŚSo in short, she gassed them to have hallucinations while sleepingâŚ? Fuck that shit man.
Yuudai⌠Was doubting he could stay awake once again this long.
ââŚ. Urgh.â
Yeah he really was. Endurance was something but even so, he could not stay awake forever, and he sure didnât want to relieve it again⌠But then again, Yuudai has a best friend, and so, despite the severity of the motive, for Rieâs sake, heâll stay alive for her. They can get through this. Right?. They have to be.
(Motive) When I Wake Up Iâm Afraid
You just remember feeling the worst fear youâve ever felt.
Itâs late at night, and you find yourself trapped in a worse nightmare than the one youâre living in. You wake up around 5am screaming.
Light trickles in through the window of your dorm room. Your roommate is screaming too, if you have one. And a faint white smoke is in the air.
A pleasant ding on your ID card gets your attention.
âGood morning campers! Come outside!â
You step outside rubbing your eyes, still in your pajamas.
âSo⌠while I hate using the same motive as the Doc, I feel like I still need to step up my game. Soooo⌠I hope you had pleasant dreams last night! Youâre going to have them for a while! I put some of this cool fear gas stuff in your rooms! Asshead used it too, but you know, I felt like I could have some fun with it. That gas will knock you out and give you some nightmares of the stuff youâre most afraid of until someone is sleeping six feet under! And remember, you canât sleep anywhere outside of the dorms, and I took away your caffeine products! Go the fuck to sleep! Iâll send Monomi to read you that bedtime story in Samuel L Jacksonâs voice if you want!â
âSweet dreams!â
And then she twirls away.
im a bit off about the heights (I think they literally have 1â˛1âł of difference in heights) but heck it. its been staying in my folder for a while so im just âlets finish thisâ
