Can we take a moment to appreciate the individual pieces that made this scene so effective and heartbreaking? From the top-notch animation, to the shot composition that perfectly played with light/shadow and camera angles which only showed enough of the characters’ faces to portray the correct amount of emotion, to the background music and especially the brilliant voice-acting work (Daiki Yamashita as Narancia just blew me away in this scene)… just… damn…
