Discernment is God’s call to intercession, never to faultfinding.
Corrie Ten Boom (via fearlessproverbs)
To us, waiting is wasting. To God, waiting is working.
Louie Giglio (via love-your-bible)
The only reason we forget Jesus is because we worship other things. We put Jesus aside so we can set our affections on things that end up breaking us. And we wonder where God is in that place, yet He lives in us and is as close as the mention of His name.

Verse of the Day : 12 September 2017
“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry" Ephesians 4:26 | NIV84
“All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.
No one calls on your name or strives to lay hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us and have given us over to our sins.
Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.
Do not be angry beyond measure, Lord; do not remember our sins forever. Oh, look on us, we pray, for we are all your people.” Isaiah 64:6-8
How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to Your word. I seek You with all my heart; do not let me stray from Your commands. I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You. Praise be to You, Lord; teach me Your decrees. With my lips I recount all the laws that come from Your mouth. I rejoice in following Your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. I meditate on Your precepts and consider Your ways. I delight in Your decrees; I will not neglect Your word. Be good to Your servant while I live, that I may obey Your word. Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in Your law. Psalm 119: 9-18

It is so amazing that the same scripture we read at different times brings different revelation.
And, when we are reading the bible remember these things:
We do not simply read the bible as a lifeless book with black print on white pages, but we experience it as alive. (Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.)
God illuminates or quickens it to our hearts as we pray for spirit of revelation. ( Ephesians 1:17 asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom[a] and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.)
when you’re obedient to the Lord,
the outcome doesn’t matter.
because what is often seen as a failure in the eyes of others,
is a victory in the eyes of the Lord.
