Miss Universe Malaysia 2020
You're one of my biggest artist inspirations, especially with how you convey mood through body language and expressions in your comics!! I've always wondered how you plan/do your comics, so if it's alright with you, can you share some of your process or tips on how you draw them (like panelling, or how to convey mood)? ;w;
OMG Thank you so much Anon 😭! My comic making process basically always goes like (Idea -> sketch -> dialogue -> first lineart for the characters -> second lineart for the background -> coloring/shading -> adding speech bubbles and dialogues -> done) I know professional artists planned the dialogues first before sketching it out but it’s mandatory because they need to go through several revision process through their editors before finalizing the artwork. I’m just a hobbyist and I think procedural stuff like that isn’t necessary for me.
Also for the tips, here are some of comic making stuff I’ve learned from being an avid manga reader, but some other tips like eye direction and such were learned in college. I hope my explanation isn’t confusing and good luck Anon! (Also I’m so sorry for the super late reply ; w ;)

Tried a new way of painting digitally while joining DA's Birthday. If someone has a faster way of painting illustrations save me ahahahhaa
Wonder how most of our scenes in Malaysia would look like in anime style 🤔
Some low angle back studies because I was struggling with this view.
Some sample pages from Andrew Loomis’s series on how to draw comics, 1939-1961, concerning perspective and composition. (The changes in font and layout stem from the fact the pages come from different prints.)
I tried to collect the most useful pages, but of course I’m limited to only 10 images per post.
This is a follow-up of sorts of the Disney “how to draw comics” handouts I posted earlier, and which can be found HERE.

Me trying to finish my assignments but hadn't been productive for days. It's been a while since I felt an urge to draw. Though it's not accurate but surprisingly I feel satisfied with this piece. Somehow it managed to portray the struggle and the angst inside for the past months since this whole e learning started. Whenever I try to take a break and scroll through social medias all I see is anger and rage and stress from the confessions to the politics.
Another four weeks to go and I WILL BE FREE to celebrate my birthday with a peace of mind, can't wait! Then hopefully I can be relax enough to make up some positive artworks! 💦 Saty safe from the pandemic guyss

!! thank u so much! The way i draw lace is like…so time consuming but i usually use three different methods interchangeably
One of the major factors of lace is that it must maintain this very floral quality to it, which often relies on noticeable curves. Though a lot of lace contains straight lines here and there, the curves should always b the most significant!
After searching for so many years I've finally found a way to draw lace omg!
Before I ruin it with watercolor and stress myself even more after all the continuous assignments and online classes 💦I'd save it for digital coloring just in case whoops...
He said 'draw what you like' Only two things in my mind Ghibli studio and human figure 🌚 Ya Megan's my name haha . . #illustration #ghiblistudio #totoro #spiritedaway #lettering
