Things go wrong when Koenma and his loving girlfriend go to Alaska once again to visit her family and to watch her participate in an upcoming martial arts tournament in Palmer, Alaska. The lovers and Yusuke are ambushed by two assassins sent to kill the former spirit detective and Koenma’s lover. Will the trio survive the unforgiving harshness of the Alaskan wilderness and escape from the two assassins?
Bonus Features: This fic takes place in the summer time around July when there’s no snow on the ground (just on the mountain tops).

Five years after the passing of Genkai, Yukina receives word from Botan of another loss, though this one is more unexpected. Rui, the koorime who raised her—and who flung her brother from the cliffs of Hyouga to almost certain death—has died. Compelled by a strangely human need for closure, Yukina decides to return to her homeland one final time to pay her respects, but the journey will not be easy, and there is no guarantee of her return. With support from her Human World friends, she prepares to set out for Demon World and Hyouga itself expecting to be the only one burdened by things unresolved, but she is in for a surprise when Hiei declares that he will accompany her. Time and unspoken understanding have not brought Yukina much closer to him, a fact that she both regrets and resents, but perhaps, of all those who could have joined her, Hiei will turn out to be the one she needs most.
