The damage caused by Anti-shippers in the Invader Zim Fandom
Hey guys, Recapkid here. Remember when I promised a compilation on harassment in the fandom due to anti-shippers/fandom police a bit back? This the best I could do as one person with a lot going on in my life, but I promised I’d make this document and drop it before I left the fandom, so here it is.
A compilation of as much anti-ship/fandom police harassment as I could collect directed towards ZADR shippers for… shipping ZADR.

Be warned going through the document there’s a lot of heavy material in it because it’s all things coming straight from the mouths of a group of people looking to hurt others. While I know this can’t fix anything hopefully it can at least expose the extent of how bad it is and make more people aware.
I am sure this document does not even begin to cover the full scope of it at all because many people have had more personal experiences, and I had to leave out some of the stories that were more convoluted in their explaining in favor of stuff that was more direct and to the point, but it’s a start.
I was really heartbroken to see so much harassment take place in this fandom, and I wish there was more I could have done. Hopefully though putting this out there in the open in a compiled place will at least shed some light to what anti-minded people (and yes there are definitely shippers that are anti-minded) end up perpetuating. Especially going forward into other fandoms I want people to be aware of what is happening. This sort of behavior should never be acceptable and it’s sad that fandom, my and many others safe space, had turned into such a hostile environment over the years. I remember back when fandom used to be very chill and fun for the most part. At this point it’s harrowing to try to figure out how to even begin to undo the damage fandom police have caused.
It was difficult to compile this and how much I had to sift through and it ran me into the ground, but now I leave this for you all.
