im a prisoner of my own making
there's no way out
each wall is a permanent reminder of my mediocrity
a slap in the face with every turn i take
in the end, it's always the same:
ive completely destroyed myself over something irrevocable
It's so important to recognise that disability doesn't mean that people should just let the plagiarism machine create for them, but as a fellow anti-AI person, so much of the anti-AI crowd just uses us as miracle cripples and inspiration porn for their agenda.
These tweets have such immense "I saw someone with no legs climbing the Everest on TV once, so what's your excuse for needing a wheelchair or letting your disability disable you, you lazy bum?" energy.
These artists are all exceptional and have overcome their physical limitations through a strong will to create, but they're praised as if they represent the average of creative disabled people, not the 1%. Arguments like these throw the overwhelming majority of disabled people under the bus.
Please don't use the same ableist tactics that the pro-AI crowd uses. Disabled people are allowed to be disabled and still deserve compassion for this disability getting in the way of creating.
This, and these are also incredibly terrible examples to begin with. Are we going to pretend Beethoven didn't become deaf during his career? That he hadn't already had the skills he'd developed before having to adapt?
Or that Monet wasn't already a skilled painter before his eyes failed?
People handwrite shit every day, not all of them already have the skill, time, and money to afford them the leisure of writing a novel.
Helen Keller was blind and deaf, that last example is just a mess to begin with.
Apparently it needs to be said, but disabled people aren't props for your arguments and pretending that anyone should be able to somehow move past their physical limitations just so you have a 'gotcha' is just as ableist as the pro-AI argument. Be better.
republicans: homeless people should be ground into sausage and fed to schoolchildren
democrats: persons experiencing houselessness should be ground into sausage and fed to schoolchildren
this post posits a utopian world where either of these parties would support feeding schoolchildren, making it a masterclass in "hopepunk"

#idk what this means or if i do this but ig i'll just hold my phone with my pinky stuck out from now on??
Good question, also no that won’t help.
shitty MS Paint 3 minutes doodle, nto entirely accurate: When you have your pinky hooked on the “bottom” edge of the phone for the extra security so it doesn’t slide out of your hand that easily, you’re wreaking damage on your hand, since the pinky is extremely askew from it’s resting position. You might have noticed that when you hold your phone like that for long time it begins to hurt, like when you are gripping a pen too tightly for example.
Green lines - the fingers are going their natural way. Red line - the pinky is way off, that’s bad.
Me: Oh, good thing I never-
Me, looking down at hand: By talos this can't be happening
oh thats why my hadns have started to always be in pain ok

"I know. Me too."

"You've always made it hard for me to stay mad at you. Come here."
"You did nothing wrong."
"It's okay."
"It wasn't your fault."
"Don't apologize."
"I can't believe you."
"Cut the bullshit."
"Don't lie to me."
"When I said I never wanted to see you again, did you not know what the word 'never' means?"
"You're either stupid or brave to be showing your face here."
"Fuck off."
"Did you expect that to be even remotely enough to fix this?"
"You're about to be."

UNPOPULAR OPINION: A lot of "mental health issues" disappear when bills are paid, rent is secure, and the fridge is full. Peace is expensive. And pretending money doesn't affect mental health is privilege.
nothing turns me on more than knowing how much im turning you on
im swimming at the lake and accidentally kicked a fish. this has never happened in my many years of swimming. sorry man
