I havenât been uploading a lot of stuff here, and I wish to come back, even if slowly, so here are a few old things I finished some time ago but didnât upload.
Marissa The Traveling Alchemist.
Marissa was born in the norther areas, in a mostly isolated house. She spent most of her childhood surrounded by books but also by nature. She never really had many needs in her life, besides, perhaps, a lack of childhood friends to talk and play with.
One particularly cold winter she fell ill, and a healer had been contacted to cure her. With the cold of the winter, and the constant snow storms, it was going to be difficult for the healer to arrive... While waiting, Marissa was kept close to the fireplace of the house to keep her warm during the nights, but even with all this care, her health seemed to get worse by the day... Until one night, a creature she never saw entered in the house... she remembers that night vaguely... as the cold winds entered the house at the same time this creature did, before closing the entrance. The creature was humanoid and almost naked, with a scaly skin, white a snow, went close to the fireplace before looking at Marissa with its crimson eyes... She remembers this creature getting closer, whispering her something before giving her something to drink... She soon after feel asleep again.
When she woke up, it was late morning, almost midday... And her illness was mostly gone. She would learn that the creature was a white kobold in seek of refuge... She tried thanking it for saving her, but it seemed the kobold only spoke, and understood, draconic.
The medic would arrive a little afterwards. He served as a sort of translator between the Kobold and Marissa, and, perhaps surprised by the kobold's skill, or as a reward, he decided to me it his assistant and apprentice, leaving soon after.
Marissa, spend many years afterwards studying, and trying to master the sciences and intricacies of medicine and the body, eventually becoming an alchemist, and a medic, and deciding to travel the world, treating people of their illness... And perhaps, if the opportunity ever arises, properly thank the kobold that saved her life.
