An electrician has been literally left seeing stars after suffering an electric shock that caused star-shaped cataracts to develop in his eyes. The incident, reported written up in the New England Journal of Medicine and describes the case of the 42-year-old man whose shoulder came into contact with 14,000 volts of electricity which zapped through his body and into his optic nerve. The man has had surgery to remove his star-stamped lenses but still suffers from poor vision due to damage to his optic nerve. (Source)

During the black famine in Ukraine, the dead often used to be buried with the alive. As said by a witness: 

Vasyl Tanchyk, my neighbour, died, and his wife died, but their small child, a suckler, was still alive. It clung to her mother’s breasts. The tiny child was taken to the cemetery and thrown into the grave with the body of her dead mother. It crawled into the corner and the dirt was thrown on top of her. (Source)
